If your radio turns on just purchase a tape to connect to your cellphone and enjoy listening to songs straight from your cellphone under TUNE option. the tape should come with Audio cable connected to it that goes to the phone audio jack. Thats waht I did with my 04 ML500
You cannot get a tape to play thats corded to play music off your phone because theres a face plate and the tape deck is located behind that with an automatic feature that covers the tape deck, if theres a wire sticking out the face plate wont close in order to even have that feature work.
Have a 500 easy to fix anything on this car not a mechanic and have fix lot issues on this car after 170k mile seals mostly unfortunately mechanics are scams if I can fix it why charge so much yeah I’ll do it myself assholes
While the engine may keep running well over a 100000 miles open your wallet because everything else breaks. Very expensive repairs makes this car not a good car.
Worst cars ever I had one and currently the steering is hard as f and windows don’t work doesn’t lock list goes on don’t get me wrong it’s a nice little suv but acts up like a big suv
yeah well maybe you should take proper care of your car my mom had the same exact car and she checked the car every single day and the car never broke down so it just depends on WHO takes care of it my friend not trying to be rude
I had a 2001 ML320 and then a 2005 ML500. The 320 had mostly electrical issues, but nothing that will leave you stranded. My 500 has been near flawless at ~130K miles. Maintenance is key. Remember that these trucks go 10K/1yr between oil changes and tranny service is not required ... but highly recommended.
@@victoreyo7387 10k oil changes may be what MB originally recommended but if you want to take proper care of it it should be changed sooner. Same thing with the trans service, if you want your trans to last longer than 150k miles it is required. They originally claimed it was sealed for life but in reality it should be serviced every 60-80k miles.
@@vincentsolito8234 That's not accurate. Like I said earlier, I had a 320 and now a 500, all purchased new. I also had an E430, new. Oil changes for all three were done per the FSS (at 10K-12K). Never had a motor problem. Though MB says tranny is lifetime, I did service the tranny ~every 18K.

The wire harness behind stereo probably needs replaced, take it to best buy they will look at it for free.
