Still can't believe they pulled this off on the genesis.
Genesis was actually far ahead of it's time. Same goes for the Dreamcast as well. Unfortunately, Sega had shitty marketing and business practices.

Vectorman and vectorman 2 were my favorite sega games growing up. Still play them every now and then. Great to see this game get the speedrun treatment.

Metalhead was always the orbot leader, he became evil when a nuclear warhead was accidentally attached to his head and he sent out the command to prepare to kill humans
Vectorman wasn't affected because he was dropping trash off at the sun
This is the first video game I ever ever got that was my own. 9 years old at KB toys in the almost extinct Sega genesis section, brought it home and never beat the 1st level. Thanks for this

This game's music is incredible.
This game had everything, stellar 16-bit graphics, crisp controls, a rockin' soundtrack, and high level of challenge.
Great game, love the overall map designs of the background slowly changing from day to night
Not enough shoutouts to the baller soundtrack, this game gets more lit than half the club tracks today on a friggin Sega soundchip.

Yeah between this, the obligatory Streets of Rage, and Sonic CD, Genesis had some sick sas 90s electronica/EDM soundtracks. I'm not into much post-90s electronica stuff but i can only guess that the Genesis is why I have an exception for for it.

Basically.
When I saw a trailer for Wall-E while seeing another movie in 2008, it started with just narrative and didn't show any characters. I hoped against all hope that it was a Vectorman movie until the character reveal.

Holy cow. I remember seeing advertisements for this game as a kid and drawing the character during classes instead of doing work. Never got to play it, though. Up until now I had forgotten about it. Looks like an awesome game.

I loved this game as a kid. I remember the secret intro where you could input some command and vector would appear in the sega screen and you could shoot at the Sega logo

This game, vectorman 2 and sonic games are the games that most time spent playing in my sega genesis when i was kid and to see players destroying it is really awesome, keep the good work guys.

My buddy and I played the HELL out of this back in the release days of it....I was lucky he had a genesis while I had the SNES. Amazing run, bad luck at the end there. :P

One thing that wasn't mentioned is that if you use any kind of cheats (built in or GG) you get a "good job, loser" ending.
That final boss was soo unfortunate... Still, an amazing run of a great game!

hey quick question, since I jumped out after the seizure warning at the beginning. Are there more effects like that in the game, or is that bit early on in the first level the only time it happens? I'd like to watch the run, but not if it's gonna mess me up.

Great game but its better off not risking it. Its not on Doki Doki Panic "Waterfall" level of epilepsy lucky.

I feel like this game could have been timeless if the character designs weren't so....bleh. It looks beautiful with fun gameplay, but he's just a bunch of balls.
