I'm SO happy to see this game get more recognition. It's such a great game. It's the game that made me want to become a speedrunner and it deserves all the praise on it that it gets. Lets hope this is just the start for Bloodstained at GDQs!
I hope so too. There are many other really cool categories that deserve their show at gdq.
@@Laxxus1 Absolutely. I'd love to see pretty much all of them. But I can't say I'm not biased when it comes to wanting to see Ultimate, with Zangetsu only, since that's what I run lol.

We actually got to talk to a developer of Ritual of the night after the run and he assured us that the game will come out this year. So I hope it will be just as awesome.
I would love more retro blood stained games, in the vein of c4 or rondo
@@Laxxus1 In Iga we trust, the road seems rocky but after how good curse was I'm sure ritual is gonna end up ok at worst and excellent at best.
Isn't this game basically a prequel to Ritual of the Night? Sure, I don't think it will have the same party switching mechanics, which seems to break the game in this one, but hopefully people will find cool things to break in it, as well. I look forward to playing it and seeing speedruns of it.
The Kickstarter demo of RotN apparently was pretty broken and abusable for speedruns. I don't expect the full game to be the same but I'm sure there will be a lot of glitches for speedruns ;-)
Koji Igarashi is gonna enjoy the heck out of this run
It's cool to see a speedrun involving multiple characters, and actually giving all of them a role in traversing through stages :D

The final boss looks awesome. Such a cool final phase where you put the boss on a timer.

Fantastic game in the C3 style as apposed to the symphony style which we get a lot of nowadays. Ritual of the night will be amazing if this is anything to go by and I will be picking it up for certain

I hadn't played this game yet because I thought it looked a bit *too* retro for me, but the fact that it has a bonus mode unlocked by getting the bad ending is gonna make me pick it up next time it's on sale. That's straight out of Aria and Dawn of Sorrow, my favorite Castlevania games

Dude you are in for a surprise, it has multiple endings depending on who you kill or ally with, the best imo is the end of nightmare mode and the one you don't ally with anyone but don't kill them either, it's also Castlevania 1 hard because it forces you down the hardest path with no allies.
I would prefer a more colorful 16-bit version

i finished this whole game in all the difficulties without even using the axe or the freeze magic on bosses. now i know why i had a hard time.
Wasnt different for me on my first playthrough, did not use ice at all. But then again , I also did an Alfred only run with only his Clone ability ...

Well , I also did Speedruns of the game without out of bounds tricks, so you can check them out if you want. I just dont think they are as interesting and fun. But that's my own opinion.
It only adds like 5 minutes to the run.

I think Curse of the Moon will be remembered for being a better game than the game it was a stretch goal for. I hope I'm wrong. It looks like trash though.

I didn't like what I've so far but the latest updates show huge upgrades so I'm hyped about the main game! I think It'll end up being good and worth the delays.
controls suck in this game..
The game controls very well, actually. The biggest stickler for new players, however, is being unable to control your jump trajectory in midair, which of course is crucial for the retro Castlevania experience.
Controls are great. Its just that many people are not used to being committed to your jump like it was normal in many old games on nes and such.
Only thing that sucks in this game are stairs but I guess that's basically also Castlevania Tradition.
