    The mint farmers I grew up with in Oregon swore that pure mint tea would kick out a cold in a day. I've made similar teas with clover and eucalyptus. I just don't get sick anymore. Thank God!

      Mint, chamomile, anise, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, thyme and some honey. That’s what I’ve used this year. Mint is a favorite of mine.

    This looks wonderful. It's best to add raw honey once your cup has cooled to drinking temperature so it does not kill the good bacteria. Definitely gonna make some ☺️🌱🍋🍊

    I heard within the past month from one of my homesteader's that I watch(I don't remember which one) that metal breaks down the medicinal qualities of honey. That's why it used to come with a wooden utensil. I just bought a wooden spoon to stir my concoctions that have honey in them.

    Thanks for the recipe! I'm not even sick but I just started my cycle so I definitely need the extra support from herbs my body is okay with. I'm going to add red raspberry leaf to this and make enough for the week, starting tonight!

    This is great I really love following you and learning from fron you. The only different thing I would do with this tea is not add the lemon/lime or honey before the boiling water. I would squeeze it/add it when the tea is served and the water has cooled down a bit. This is to ensure that the enzymes are not killed off with boiling water. I also just send your link to my daughter in Colorado and my other daughter in Colombia. Because like me, they Love herbal medicine! We don't use conventional medicine unless we absolutely have to and most of the times we find a way to stick to herbals instead. Thank you for all you do, you're wonderful 😊❤

    • @HomesteadingFamily
      @HomesteadingFamily  ปีที่แล้ว

      The tea concentrate can be kept in the refrigerator for up to a week. But for the best results, make enough for one day (about 1/2 gallon). You’ll use equal parts tea concentrate and water for serving.

    My favorite thing to take for the COLD and FLU is 15 drops of food grade 35% Hydrogen peroxide into 16 ounces of steam distilled water taken 2 times each day until sickness symptoms are completely gone. ✅ Make sure to use steam distilled water !
    I have tried many types of supplements, vitamins, minerals, cough drops, etc., but the 35% Hydrogen peroxide is the only thing that helped kill the FLU virus and COLD virus.
    It is important to keep your core body temperature up by eating hot, warm foods such as chicken soups and vegetable soups. Drinking organic hot chocolate and organic hot tea also helps keep up your body core temperature.

      Do you use the HP in a vaporizer? Drink it? Val C

    • @momtomany6445
      @momtomany6445 ปีที่แล้ว

      You should start out with 1 DROP of HP in 8 oz of water on an empty stomach, wait if you can 2 hours to eat. If you get up in the night you can take it then. If you don't have any problems you can work up to 5 drops. If you aren't familiar with HP 35o/o do not get it on your skin, it burns.

    Does the government spray your area regularly? In other words, do chemtrails fill your skies? Wouldn’t the heavy metals they’re spraying fall onto your garden? They spray almost constantly here on the east coast of Florida, even more the past few months than ever. I feel like even the herbs in my raised bed get a powdery feel about them, I wonder if it’s from the chemtrails. So I find myself having to rinse even our own organic crops.
