@@robonbikescorrect!! the funding for the final 18ish miles of trail, skills park, and pump track has been secured. Not essentially done in the particular order above.. ha ha 👊🏻👊🏻👍🏻
Great overview of Redhead MTB Park, and excellent message about supporting the local economy while you’re up here riding the range. Successful first ride here considering you both rode your bikes back up to the trailhead, ripped my front tire to shreds and had to do the walk of shame out of the mine pit my first ride here. The views here just can’t be beat and the drone shots are epic. Charging hard blind down orange crush, that’s a sketchy and tricky jump line that takes several laps to figure out! We need more Redheads 😅
Not sure if you mentioned it or not, but 30 West bike shop is on site there for repairs and rentals. This is my home trail system and 30 West has been pretty good to me.
I'm fairly new to biking and really only started cause redhead is only a few miles from my house, so I don't have a ton of experience, but 30 west has answered many of my questions about repairs, adjustments I want to make, and done some work for me as well. They have tubes and tires on site. Very pleasant folks.
😂 That damn thing @5:14 bucked me ultra weird twice. I’m convinced the only appropriate way to clear said obstacle is to bunny hop over it. Nice video, and good reminder of how beautiful these trails are. All they need now is to add in some more DH and jumplines. They have ticked all the other boxes which is awesome, but I think some heavier black trails will help attract and retain even more riders. Good to hear you’re alright after crashing at the bottom of Orange Crush (my favorite trail there), that’s a ROUGH zone to go OTB on.
Yeah that thing is weird for sure. It was my 2nd ride on the trail and I knew that’s what was there and it still got me! Agree with your DH comment. Roller Derby was a fun one, and we certainly didn’t do everything, but another gravity line or two would be awesome!
I prob wouldn’t go 10 hrs for it, but we’re also spoiled with a ton of great trails within a 3 hour radius. If you make a few days out of it and pair this with some trails in Duluth, I’d say it’s well worth it!
I did about 4.5 hours to get there and we made a trip of redhead and giants ridge that's nearby. There's enough good riding in the area to fill some time if you do a trip. I'll also plug my local in thunder bay, Canada if you're already along the north shore. We're not too much further and have a lot of great stuff 🤟
Heck yeah man, Thunder Bay looks like a good time, I might have to put that on the list for next summer! Sounds like you had a good trip to The Range! 🤘
As a member of IROC, and part of the maintenance crew at RedheadMTBPark… we all thank you!!
Likewise man! Thanks for helping to setup and maintain a great place! I think more trails are hoping to be added in the future as well, is that right?

Thanks Andrew! Can’t wait to get a ride in with you here! Walking back up to this trailhead sounds particularly agonizing 😟
I’m looking for the best flow trails, down hill, and some technicals
Orange Crush has all of that. Roller Derby is a fun downhill with some optional jumps scattered in!
We rode Redhead over this past weekend - Wow! That's a lot of climbing! But loved ever part of the trail system.
Nice glad you made it, it definitely has some great riding, and good climbs!
Great video and review of Redhead! Thank you. I enjoy your videos.
Hey thanks a lot, I appreciate it!
Great video Rob. Thanks for promoting the sport. See ya on the trail!
Thank you! Thanks for tuning in! 🤘
Good video!
Thanks!
Redhead is a fun place. It's just a bit of a hike to get thee for me. There is some fun tech and cool features. Hope to get back there in August.
Yeah it is a hike, even from the northern part of the metro. Iron Range is churning out some killer trails 🤘
I’m convinced. Need to get up there.
Ride on 🤘
Cool! You’ll enjoy it!
So cool! I want to go there ... that secret garden looks amazing.
It’s a fun place! I could’ve spent more time in the Secret Garden than we did!

I didn’t actually make it in there, but noticed how close to the trailhead it is, very cool. Good to hear it’s a good bike shop!

WOW what a great video! Excellent shots and loving the blind sends 👏 Hope it didn't take too big of a bite outta ya.
All that matters is that my bike is fine 😅. Thanks Kirk!

Hope it happens!
@@robonbikes it will! It's really close by!

That looks stunning. I’m in northern Illinois so it’s about 10 hours north, is it worth the drive?

I have to ask. What drone?
We had a couple on this trip, both DJI. Mini 3 Pro and Mavic 3. Very fun to throw up there and see the different perspective.
