Glad you enjoyed the video. The Mesabi trail is the best in Minnesota, IMHO. That is saying a lot considering how many great trails we have. Hope you can make it back up and explore more sections of the trail soon. Thanks for watching!

Thank you so much for your video! My husband and I plan to bike this same route on our upcoming trip to Ely and it was great to see a preview of what’s to come!

Richard, I watch all your videos. Beautiful trail! Surprisingly, almost none of it shows up on Google maps. And parts of it remind me of the Paul Bunyan trail (the winding east / west section) south of Walker. It's the best trail I've ridden in MN. Cheers!

Thanks for watching the videos. The Mesabi is an incredible trail that is still under development. It is strange Google maps does not have the older section between Ely and Tower yet. Open Street Map cycle has most of the trail except the 3 miles going into Ely that was just finished in June. Ride with GPS has the OSM cycle data as a map layer. The Paul Bunyan trail is another beautiful trail, but I give the nod to the Mesabi for beauty and variation. Enjoy the remainder of summer in the saddle.

We recently discovered your videos and are inspired to start bicycling again. Next summer we will be in MN/IA again and will try out some of your recommended trails. What kind of bike should we get? Thank you. We love watching you guys.

Glad you are enjoying our videos and are excited to get back into bicycling. We like Trek bicycles and have had good luck with them. I would recommend a hybrid bike for their comfort and flexibility on different trail surfaces. You can have wider tires that still roll nicely on pavement, plus you can load gear on them and bike tour. A friend just got a Trek step through hybrid and that looks like a nice option, although with no bar you have to get a rack that holds the bikes by the wheels. We do not have much experience with Ebikes but we know we will be buying some in the future. Thanks for watching and best of luck.

I am wanting to get up to the North Shore to ride the Gichi Gami and Mesabi Trails. Thanks for sharing your experiences! Will you be sharing other segments of the Mesabi Trail? On a side note, I just finished riding RAGBRAI 50 a couple weeks ago. First rode it on the 25th anniversary. What a crowd this year. Love your videos!

Glad you are enjoying our videos, I will be sharing more segments of the Mesabi trail in the weeks to come. It is definitely worth a visit. Ragbrai, that must of been nuts with the crowds and hot 🥵. Congratulations on finishing Ragbrai, it is not an easy ride. Thanks for watching and commenting. Enjoy the last bit of summer in the saddle.
