Garrett Bro's--Red Lodge or Bust! Part 3

This video is the third portion of a five day ride my brother and I took during the last week of June, 2012. We live in Boise and eventually ended up in Red Lodge, Montana. I sectioned our photos into four videos covering different segments of the ride. This part chronicles our ride from the NE Gate at Yellowstone Park over to Red Lodge and back. The ride takes over the Beartooth Highway, a premier ride in my book, summiting out at just over 11,000 feet. Evening air was cold and the snow still deep. All of the mountain lakes had ice still on them. An interesting note on this entire trip: We kept finding historical markers dedicated to Chief Joseph and the Nez Perce. I have lived in this region most of my life and had no idea the ground they were forced to cover when being pursued by the cavalry. An amazing but sad realization.

Great to see the bond of two brothers sharing the adventure. Nice choice of music too!
