  • Harald Baldr invited me to accompany him to watch the sunrise over the Indian desert city of Jaipur which he wanted to drone. So at 5 am we left the hotel and set off through dark streets in search of the fort that over looks the city. Join us on a motorcycle adventure with no headlights.

I absolutely agree with your comment, I was appalled at how careless Indian government is in its upkeep of its rich heritage. So priceless and rich. Something to nurture and cherish, is just left to the mercy of filth and garbage. Real pity. I hope the new generation are more aware of its richness and do the right thing...

Mr Bald! I found your channel a few days ago and have been on a binch watching all of your videos. What an amazingly beautiful place India is, your videos make me want to pay a visit to it someday to shoot photos and see some of the local towns. I've always been looking at other Asian countries to go to like China and Japan, but never considered India as an option. Now I must say I'm putting it on my travel bucket list, those narrow old streets of Jodhpur looked amazingly photographic! Question, do you think as a Westerner (I'm Dutch btw) I'll be fine with a proper DSLR camera or would it be wiser to get something smaller? I'm just talking about would it be wise in regards to my own safety or do you think it'll be just fine. I've been to many places with my camera, both richer and poorer areas and I haven't really had much issues, but any other country is of course different, let me know what you think Mr. Bald.

At 7:40 the way the security people ushered you out was so weird. These are "rules" in India that I just don't understand. Our govt doesn't bother to enforce traffic rules or collect the garbage but they have illogical rules like not allowing people into an abandoned fort before 9 AM! And they were so rude to you! SOrry on their behalf. In situations like this, just bribe the security people and get your drone footage. Rs.500 should do the trick. Turn off the camera while you do it.

Guys, you have been doing a great job. The charisma with which you trave and put your blogs is adorable. Equally, adorable is the perspective that you give of the country. Interestingly, it excites many of us Indians just as much as to look at India from your perspective and helps us appreciate so many things that we otherwise may miss out on in our everyday lives.
Also just for a bit of information, you missed out on the third fort called the Nahargarg fort. (The ones that you have gone to in the video are the Amber Fort and the Jaigarh Fort) That's the place best suited to see the sunrise. It overlooks the city and gives a magnificent view. The drive from the city itself is quite fantastic and even coming to the spot at night is in itself an experience. Get there and have a bunch of Old Monk Rums!
Attaching a video of the drive to Nahargarh Fort on Royal Enfield for future reference of anyone viewing this video and planning their trip. ( th-cam.com/video/FH0Rpio6LxM/w-d-xo.html )
