OLAPLEX 1 & 2 TREATMENT AT HOME

  • Hello everybody!
    Here's my demo on how I treated my hair with Olaplex No 1 & 2 at home.
    I filmed this 2 weeks ago and can now tell you that my hair is definitely stronger! Some of you may know that when your bleached hair is wet, it really feels weak and I always compare it to spaghetti. It now no longer feels like that and I'm not afraid of brushing my hair wet no more. I'd highly recommend this product if your hair is damaged or you want to reduce more damage to it when bleaching.
    No 1 & 2 kit cost me £78 and No 3 £18. You'd get about 6-15 applications of out it but it of course depends how you use it. If you mix it with bleach e.g. 5ml compared with standalone treatment 15ml.
    I'm really looking forward to bleaching my hair again and I'm gonna change my hair colour, whoop!
    DON'T FORGET to subscribe so you won't miss my next Olaplex video xxx
    Step 1:
    - Mix 15ml Olaplex No 1 with 90ml of (warm if you like) water in a non spraying bottle
    - Saturated your hair fully especially on the ends - it's gonna be dripping wet
    - Once done, brush it through and put your hair in a plastic bag or shower cap
    - I kept it in for 1 1/2 but you can do it longer if you like
    - Without rinsing it out, go to Step 2
    Step 2:
    - Apply a generous amount of Olaplex No 2 on to your hair
    - Make sure it's fully covered
    - Leave this in as long as you can - I left mine in for 2 hours but I'll do this longer next time
    - Then all you need to do wash it out with shampoo and condition your hair
    Step 3:
    - This step wasn't in this video but the following week, I applied Olaplex No 3 to my hair left it in for about 3 hours
    - Do this once a week

      Hey gurl, I know you commented years ago. But i need your advice, my cousin (barber) bleached my hair a few days ago. can i use no1 and 2 after bleaching? Or just no2? And my hair is pretty orange, should i use olaplex with toner? Or does it not matter if i tone it after using olaplex? Thank youu ❤

      The company puts that on the box for a reason. It's not stylists being haters. Stylists have to go through training to learn about the entire system and chemistry behind it to properly service the clients. There's another video where someone used excessive amounts of olaplex and it left her hair with buildup. Probably because she wasn't educated on the product

    • @5footCloset
      @5footCloset  7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      +Vanessa Nessa oh no that so horrible!! So Olaplex is not gonna fix the split ends because the hair is already damaged so you still need to trim it off. What it does is prevent your hair from more split ends and make it much stronger. I'll repeat this soon myself as I recently bleached my hair again 😅 hope that helps xxx

      I know this is an older post. So much more info and education on the Olaplex website even for unlicensed people. Thankfully! Just be careful where you purchase in order to actually get the real thing. Do the olaplex stand alone treatment (as she did in this video) before the keratin. Keratin treatments need such a high heat passed over the hair to seal in the treatment. That's damage. Strengthen the hair with olaplex before keratin treatments to help decrease amount of damage.

      That's because it can increase your processing time, so if you have to use a lot of Olaplex No 1, you might need to up your developer strength to 40 vol, rather than 30, etc. If you don't want it to interfere, only use a tiny amount. You can do a full No 1 and 2 treatment post bleach and tone too, plus weekly for a while to repair.

      @@5footCloset t14 and t18 are both level 10 toners, so yes, they will only work when your hair is very light, like a level 10 blonde light.
      Stronger toners that will tone darker levels are also not available to the public (the best way to get stronger toners, and the kit you used in this video is to just have a friend who has a Cosmo license get it from the store, or let you use their account, as most stores aren't very strict, and once an account is set up just ask for a phone number. But in stores for professionals only this traveling stylist starters pack is only $50 USD, and all olaplex products available to the public {no's 3-7} are %50 off retail pricing)

      My Walmart was a definite fake though, online. I've used the Olaplex from the website, & it's definitely not the same consistency & has a different seal.

      +Dan Tran Hi, there are 2 different ways to do this. You can use No 1&2 as a standalone treatment without colour/bleach (usually in the salon). The other option is to mix it with colour/bleach. No 3 is a take home treatment.

    • @dhptran78
      @dhptran78 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes.I did look at other youtube and saw that you can use it as a standalone. Great video!! thanks for the tip. I use No. 3 once a week. I also use 1 in my bleach to help not damaged my hair.

    Can somebody please tell me if the benefits outweighs the risks in leaving the olaplex 1 for an hour (instead of just 5 mins) and added olaplex 2 on for overnight (instead of just 10 mins- although the exact were “minimum” for both times). Thanks everyone!

      Just follow what the instructions say. Especially if it's a ‘salon only’ product, you don’t deviate from the instructions.

      I'm confused too. I thought #1 was to be either mixed into the hair dye or bleach, or used after bleaching, and #2 should be used after shampoo. I don't think she knows what she's doing.

      Lucy No 3 is just a weaker version of the No 2. You can buy the No 3 in the store but not steps 1-2.
