I’ve been standing since 2016…wouldn’t do it again however I wouldn’t change it. Christ has changed me in the process and I am being transformed day by day. Our children see my obedience and see my honor to Christ first..they know I don’t have answers and timing this side of heaven but they know the glory of God is my first priority.
Learning to be patient and to trust God isn't easy. I have to keep reminding myself of how Jesus gave it all and loves us even when we are unworthy of it. He loves us even when no love is shown in return, He loves us unconditionally and that's how a husband must love his wife even when no love is shown in return. Unconditional love is pure. Separated after 40 years of marriage. I have been standing for 3+ years. My husband and I are on friendly terms, and I am praying for reconciliation. My husband is in counseling. I was too, but my therapist not good fit and haven't found another. I am leaning on God and my faith and taking it day by day! I appreciated your thoughts and truly waiting is hard!!

I have been standing going on 4 years…. I went from praying just for restoration because I was being selfish and just wanted him back home from other women. Then my prayers shifted to really just praying for a clean heart and for his salvation. He doesn’t know the Lord, when I pray he gets very angry. I know I’m going through spiritual warfare. He was in a near fatal accident and was in a coma in 2020. He has been fully healed physically and right away went back to his old ways. I still stayed in prayer, my family has told me, it’s over and that I should give up, that I deserve more, They say “ he keeps showing you he doesn’t want you” and for me to leave. My Husband told me this morning that he himself “ died on the cross”. It’s so much……. Y’all just please keep me lifted in prayer, I’m struggling…..
Father, in the name of Jesus, I come to you in prayer to ask that you remember the covenant of marriage and ask that you lay your healing hands onto our hearts and ask that you would restore all that has been stolen from our marriage and our relationship with you. Father I pray that you would soften our hardened hearts and bring about a miraculous restoration of our marriage. Please heal our hearts from the mistakes we have made and let us see your restoration power in us individually and in our relationship. Please work on me and help me to be the husband and father my wife and our children need. My wife left our marriage 1 year ago 9/17/2021. Filed for divorce within 2 weeks. We still communicate regularly - I'm starting to see evidence of her questioning her decision. My Pastor told me when she comes into church worship she cries the whole time and leaves crying. She took a week off the grid her words to think and pray. That is how I see it - a ministry. I don't even want my husband back at this point, but I know the assignment God has given me. What I can't accept is that God wants me to suffer this long, not only the 20 years together, but now almost a year of standing (not the first time either). Our youngest children are 16 and 17. Even if I was willing to give up the rest of my life being alone, never really having a real marriage and family (the only thing I ever wanted in life), what good does that do my children to not have a father for so many years? If he's not bringing my husband back ASAP, I might as well move on and find someone else to share my life with.
Please pray that my wife can heal and that I can become a stronger man of God through love and faith. Please pray that my wife want to restore our marriage and love me again.
Any marriage that gets restored is for God's Glory. How could it not! It is God's will for our marriages to work. It was the first relationship he made after making man in his image for himself. It could take months and it could takes years because everyone's situation is different. But God needs us to ask what is wrong with us. We need God to reveal ourselves to us. We need to change ourselves through Christ who will strengthen us. If our spouse has fallen away, then we need to pray for them because it is the will of God that none perish. But if our spouse didn't believe in the Father, Son, or Holy Ghost and they leave you. The Bible says, if the unbelieving spouse leaves, let them leave! Don't stand in the way of the sinner. You can of course still pray for the scales to be knocked off their eyes, but I don't know that God will restore and unbelieving spouse back to their marriage. But when it is a spouse that has fallen away, there is a MUCH higher chance of that Prodigal getting called back to the sheep fold because Christ is the Good Shepherd and he said he goes out and looks for the lost sheep. But we can't focus on the lost sheep's problems we want God to change without taking a good hard look at ourselves and changing first. We all have issues within ourselves and sometimes we don't always see ourselves clearly.

This video was very encouraging and lifted me up a bit ❤y husband left me two months ago and now wants me to sign disillusionment papers and if I refuse to sign (which he is begging me to) then he says he will go through with a divorce. I don't know what to do...I have been standing strong and telling him no that God does not want this. He is convinced that God does. He even asked me to go in my prayer closet and pray for an hour tonight so I did just that and then towards the end of it I stumbled on this video. I'm just so sad and don't want to cave to the pressure of signing but why is he doing any of this?! It all hurts so bad and I feel I am just going through the motions some days and its all I can do to get to the end of the day. Then other days are much easier. How do you know to sign or not? If I sign is that a full surrendering of my husband to God or is it as if I am speaking death and giving up? 😢
It’s never the right or best idea to divorce. “I hate divorce says the lord”, “therefore what God has called together let no man set apart”, ect… the only reason given in scripture for divorce is sexual immorality but why did Jesus himself say that was given? Because of the hardness of peoples hearts. Forgiveness, steadfastness, and union are always the scriptural way to go. I’m not sure if your husband understands or not that marriage quite literally IS a picture and a shadow of Christ and his relationship with the church. That’s why it says “love your wives as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her”.

You HAVE to have a specific Rhema (personal, not just lifted from the pages) word from God on these things. Speaking from experience. If you HAVE that, if He's spoken to you personally about the situation, then hold on. Because: "He's not a man that He should lie, or a son of man that He should repent." So, pray until He speaks to you personally. You HAVE to have this. We all know what the pages say, and yes, His heart is always for marriage, but He knows the end from the beginning, and for your own benefit you MUST honor your future by knowing whether to stand or move on. Please let the God of Heaven confirm His personal will for you.
Scripture doesn’t say “wait for a rhema word”. Scripture says “I hate divorce says the lord”. Scripture says “Therefore what God has called together let no man separate”. Scripture has made itself pretty clear. As for honoring yourself, well, we’re created to honor Christ and bring glory to Him. What’s His personal will for you? Scripture answers that, “what God has called together let no man separate”. There’s a period after that. That’s where it ends. Rather it “honors” yourself or not. We die to ourselves.
@@the_JamesAnthony I understand all of that, but we all know believers who married, then divorced and remarried again and there's grace and forgiveness and healing obviously, because so many seem to be doing just fine. I don't understand it always, but there it is. My point is, the Word without the Spirit becomes law. We all know the WORD on the matter, but people don't always follow it. So, if your Father has said to you by the Spirit, I'm going to restore this, then stand on that. That's a prophetic promise from your loving Father. But just like the Word alone doesn't tell you who to marry, it likewise won't tell you if your marriage will be restored. I HOPE it is restored. I really do. But if you are faithful on your end, walk it out in purity and love, then you've done all you can do. I wish you the VERY best my friend.
Marriage is a covenant forever, The word is God and God is love. If you do not obey His commandments then you are failing Him and only looking at the situation through the flesh. God created marriage to represent His covenant to us and He hates divorce so that is all one needs to know that makes it clear that His Will is to restore not for the unity of one to be tainted by the sin of remarriage. If we do not take up our cross which He tells us to then are we really trusting Him. Do we really then believe He is God of the impossible
Idk what the prosperity gospel is, but it sounds like you're not familiar with the words of Jesus that tell us "whatever we ask" will be done. Divorce is never God's will (even after adultery). Father's leaving their wives and children are part of the curse Jesus broke for us. God's answer to prayers according to his will is never "no". To tell someone it is is 100% unbiblical.
The curse he broke was our ability to be forgiven of sin. If it were “fathers leaving their wives” then it would never happen in the first place. As for the rest, just because it’s always God’s will for marriage to not end I divorce does NOT stop human’s ability to sin against the will of God and divorce anyways. Either direction you go it all falls under the sovereignty of God and what he allows. I’m not sure what your gospel is but it isn’t THE gospel because the gospel isn’t about happy lives on earth or any of that. It’s about the sacrifice Jesus made so we could attain salvation. To tell someone that the curse Jesus broke was so our lives could be happier is extremely unbiblical. 100%. Quite literally, it’s the prosperity gospel in a nutshell.
And in the end it is what you said a sin to divorce. And we can not enter heaven if we continue to sin and not repent. We need to pray for God to remove the scales of the eyes of the world on the sacredness of marriage. It wasn’t for happiness but for holiness, sanctification, salvation, and a legacy for God to be left in the world.

Divorced 1 week. He has been with an OW for 7 months. No communication. Seeing where God is taking this.
Your divorced. What is God telling you? God told me to let my ex-husband go. He was a Satanist though. A violent man. Pure evil. God doesn't want to that for His children.

You HAVE to have a specific Rhema (personal, not just lifted from the pages) word from God on these things. Speaking from experience. If you HAVE that, if He's spoken to you personally about the situation, then hold on. Because: "He's not a man that He should lie, or a son of man that He should repent." So, pray until He speaks to you personally. You HAVE to have this. We all know what the pages say, and yes, His heart is always for marriage, but He knows the end from the beginning, and for your own benefit you MUST honor your future by knowing whether to stand or move on. Please let the God of Heaven confirm His personal will for you.
Scripture doesn’t say “wait for a rhema word”. Scripture says “I hate divorce says the lord”. Scripture says “Therefore what God has called together let no man separate”. Scripture has made itself pretty clear. As for honoring yourself, well, we’re created to honor Christ and bring glory to Him. What’s His personal will for you? Scripture answers that, “what God has called together let no man separate”. There’s a period after that. That’s where it ends. Rather it “honors” yourself or not. We die to ourselves.
@@the_JamesAnthony I understand all of that, but we all know believers who married, then divorced and remarried again and there's grace and forgiveness and healing obviously, because so many seem to be doing just fine. I don't understand it always, but there it is. My point is, the Word without the Spirit becomes law. We all know the WORD on the matter, but people don't always follow it. So, if your Father has said to you by the Spirit, I'm going to restore this, then stand on that. That's a prophetic promise from your loving Father. But just like the Word alone doesn't tell you who to marry, it likewise won't tell you if your marriage will be restored. I HOPE it is restored. I really do. But if you are faithful on your end, walk it out in purity and love, then you've done all you can do. I wish you the VERY best my friend.

Marriage is a covenant forever, The word is God and God is love. If you do not obey His commandments then you are failing Him and only looking at the situation through the flesh. God created marriage to represent His covenant to us and He hates divorce so that is all one needs to know that makes it clear that His Will is to restore not for the unity of one to be tainted by the sin of remarriage. If we do not take up our cross which He tells us to then are we really trusting Him. Do we really then believe He is God of the impossible

Idk what the prosperity gospel is, but it sounds like you're not familiar with the words of Jesus that tell us "whatever we ask" will be done. Divorce is never God's will (even after adultery). Father's leaving their wives and children are part of the curse Jesus broke for us. God's answer to prayers according to his will is never "no". To tell someone it is is 100% unbiblical.
The curse he broke was our ability to be forgiven of sin. If it were “fathers leaving their wives” then it would never happen in the first place. As for the rest, just because it’s always God’s will for marriage to not end I divorce does NOT stop human’s ability to sin against the will of God and divorce anyways. Either direction you go it all falls under the sovereignty of God and what he allows. I’m not sure what your gospel is but it isn’t THE gospel because the gospel isn’t about happy lives on earth or any of that. It’s about the sacrifice Jesus made so we could attain salvation. To tell someone that the curse Jesus broke was so our lives could be happier is extremely unbiblical. 100%. Quite literally, it’s the prosperity gospel in a nutshell.
And in the end it is what you said a sin to divorce. And we can not enter heaven if we continue to sin and not repent. We need to pray for God to remove the scales of the eyes of the world on the sacredness of marriage. It wasn’t for happiness but for holiness, sanctification, salvation, and a legacy for God to be left in the world.
