Hi Christopher, When was the last time that you had a 50p hunt where you didn't find a Paddington coin? Also, I'd put the salmon coin in the book as it's the first found in a hunt.

I’ve found the 2024 red squirrel 2p coin yesterday as I’m wondering if that’s in circulation as I’m very happy!
i think it's from a set, there are no 2024 circulation definitives on e bay yet, only buncs. don't think anyone has found any 2023 ones yet other than the salmon.
Check for the small crown privy mark as mentioned at 8:04, if there's a tiny crown to the right of Charles then it's from a set. If not, it's a circulation one! Great find either way

King Charles apparently likes his Aston Martin (s) to be polished with Autoglym Super Resin Polish. Use something soft to apply it, but it transforms, a dull silver coin

Since first seeing your site, six months ago. I have been looking out for coins in my change. Have only found one girl guides 50p. Nothing else.
I find a new one every two months.. randomly started keeping them.. I have a collection of about 15 different and unique 50s.. just keep hunting

I have 5 Kew Gardens all found in 2011.. I haven’t found one since that first sun article. Everyone who cold me a geek for collecting them now collects 🙄
I use to find 5/6 commemorative or Olympic coins a week at work. Now it’s one a month 😢

Not much in this batch. The 50p Salmon has to be the * find here. I have managed to get one of these in my collection. To the best of my knowledge, there are no circulation figures available just yet. Though I suspect that this NOT going to be a rarish coin to get hold of. Once they get out into wider circulation, they should be fairly commonplace ?

The salmon 50p regardless of mintage figures is a circulating 50p and needs to go in the book surely?
It's a definitive (standard) design like the shield and Britannia 50ps were before it, and none of those go in the book. Though he does put the definitive Britannia £2s in the £2 books due to their low mintage so

Hello you’re a coin collector. I know because I’ve been watching some of your programs trying to learn things now. I don’t know if I’ve got rare coins or not but it’s in a blue packet and it says new first edition coins there’s five coins and what it is is new pence on every coin what I’ve got in the packet, now you got an offence what says new pence you’ve got one p what says new pence you’ve got a 5p what says new pence 10 what says new pants and I’ve got a 2p what says new pants? Are they rare or is it just it’s like a little collection coinor white coin and the same thing
