If you don't heed the admonishment of v.24-26 you will taste death. Christ tasted death for believers and gave them life. "Some" standing there including Judas and those today without Christ will not taste death until they see Him come back. We will all see him come and those set aside for eternal death in the lake of fire will begin to taste it. V.24-28 flow liberally to this I believe. Spurgeon has a good teaching on this called, I think an "awful premonition"
