Epic and accurate preaching of this passage. Well done. Thank you. It helped me greatly in my preparation of my message. This is what following Jesus is all about... a devotion: Deny yourself, pick up your cross, and follow Jesus. Also I loved the Princess' Bride movie illustration too. So funny and perfect opening and concluding illustration.
16:26 “What profit would there be for one to gain the whole world and forfeit his life?” Spiritual/moral needs and obligations take precedence over material needs. Alleviating poverty through state-enforced plunder and violence (among other immoral things) is not Christian. 16:27 “For the Son of Man will come with his angels in his Father’s glory, and then he will repay everyone according to his conduct.” Again, both faith and works are necessary.
Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom. (Matthew 16:28) Christ prediction of his return in the time he lived in. Also read the verse before. Jesus was talking about his return. it's not about his transfiguration or Pentecost
another fantastic video thankyou!! love all the explanations of what following really means versus the tourist trail! on a sidenote, i noticed something a bit wierd... im into decoding esoteric symbolism whether intended or accidental... the hashtag thing: First of all for most of the video, the medium close up crop is used, which leave the letters "ASHTA" in the background, which could be interpreted as Ashtar- who is a demonic channelled entity of the new age movement (NWO deception), who may possibly be the false christ who comes to decive in the end times. We probably dont want to be promoting him by accident do we? Also the puncuation symbol hashtag itself, is in itself 4 crosses combined, turned 90 degrees each on one another, reminds me a bit of the papal staff, and I think we can agree the pope doesnt exactly follow Jesus. Maybe its harmless, i just thought it was an interesting connection. Anyway.. thats my thoughts for the day here. Praise Jesus!!

John, who was there, saw his return and recorded it in the book of Revelations. Paul also saw it and wrote about it.
