In 2018 Harley-Davidson came out with a 100% new Chassis. This is Laidlaw's First crack at applying this style to the new bikes.

Beautiful build!! I get the point about the ride quality but a 21inch fat spoked front tyre and fishtails would look sick!! Just curious if the samson fish tails will fit the 2018 Deluxe frame. What do you say mate?

I am from Phoenix, AZ and was just there this past weekend but unfortunately I did not see any Vicla styled bikes there at all.

I like the look of the high rise handlebars on this Deluxe Harley. I've always wondered if it makes for an awkward ride in terms of steering and general control of the bike. A beautiful bike!
Should have watched to the end before my comment above. Ah, yes, the hangers are to do with style and not much else. They look great on the Harley.
They are easy to get used to. It's a fun riding position
Ill never go back to low bars plus the bike is so balanced i think it feels even better than stock

Personally, it's not my style of bike, but with that being said, it's not my bike. I do however appreciate the modifications performed on the bike, but I would change every chrome piece to black pieces, drop the height on the bars by about 3 inches, and leave the chrome wheels, but have thicker spokes. I will say that I enjoy your history bits on certain bike parts you showcase, hella cool. I don't know the reliability of the bag suspension, but I LOVE the look! Where did you his the compressor/tank for the setup? That's trick! I dig the theme of the build! Give me more Dynas Matt!!!🤟

Question what fender bib did you use. And will it work on the 18 heritage as well.
Cause HD parts catalog has no reference saying it will.
Mike Canazero the same bib that fits the deluxe should also fit the heritage; that is what I found on the mustangseats website anyway. I have a mustang bib on my Slim and love it.

Curious as to how that air ride feels. I had an air ride that was just awful. It essentially turned the bike into a hard tail. Every time I went over a buckle in the pavement a jolt of kinetic energy would go straight up my back. Had to go back to a custom mono shock. Do the airbags give it a cushier ride?

Hi Matt, great vid as always. Need some unassociated advice if possible, i have a new 2018 Twisted Cherry BO, unfortunately I dropped it off the stand while cleaning so there were two very small dents in the tank, tried to get them pushed out by a pro but the paint blistered. The problem I have is that i live in the Philippines and the level of service in all aspects is of fabrication/painting etc is not up to the requisite standard and im finding it difficult to get this done here? So, the question I have would it be possible to purchase a new 2018 new Twisted Cherry tank for my Breakout and at what cost. Appreciate you advise on this pretty stressful issue :(

Those chrome switch housings are not available from Harley as "2018", only the ones with cruise control. Maybe earlier versions fit, how would I know?
Yea, it can be done. I think maybe we put the 2018 ones on with the cruise. You can call our Shop and ask. I forget exactly what we did.
Chrome is king. Love everything except the whip and the blanket role thing. SE slip-ons would add the required noise (and street legal).
Well here it is spring 2020 and the Motor Company still has very little to offer as far as custom accessories are concerned. Same goes for the aftermarket, sad because I truly enjoy my 2019 Deluxe. Personalization is a big part of the HD experience thus leaving a big gap in ownership...
That bike looks very cool. Just the right amount of styling. But one question: what is the sense of this airride thing? Just coolness? Besides I don‘t like the sound of pumping it up

One use is for shorter riders, air up on the highway and air down in town or traffic. Much better than a straight drop kit because you still maintain full use of your suspension. And it looks cool! There’s always that!😬

Matt, if a person called your parts department would they be able to hook a guy up with all the part numbers and or parts needed to install 14" Carlini Gangster apes on a 2014 Fatboy lo? The dealership in my area told me that they do not know what length cables would be needed unless the bars were first installed on the bike to measure cables, wires etc. pretty much making me to have them do the install. I would rather install myself to save money.

Cool bike! Not my personal style at all but a well executed build. Interesting to hear the history about that whip there too. Maybe those kind of short "history lessons" about details on bikes could be a thing to have in your videos Matt!? Man, killer build! Honestly one of the few new Softails that looks good to me. Not hatin on 'em, they're just not my thing. But this one....I'd proudly ride! Just add wheels and exhaust and DAYUM! Complete badassness. Curious, how does that air ride suspension compare to stock?

Matt you forgot the most important part! the FISHTAILS! you got to have the sound and that look! You keep saying "lowrider", should have lowered the front end 2 inches, that would really help.

Yea, we wanted to do fish tails but at the time no one made them for the M8 engine. Plus on a new bike it’s tough for CARB reasons.
Something I would've turned my nose up at years ago...really has grown on me. Done with sportbikes. I'm ready to enjoy the ride no matter what speed. Like turning from a jockey to a cowboy. Now only if Ontario Canada laws didnt make these bars illegal.
