Hi im the alto player. This was so much fun to play 7ish years ago - I highly suggest trying to get the arrangement. I went on to allstate two years later and then studied sax at university. My recommendation to a developing player in high school is to get into a chamber ensemble (like a quartet) asap! Start your own even! You would not believe how much you will learn from the ear training. Learning in chamber > learning in large ensemble. To clarify my performance tho, I was using a friend's sax that was very bad and had a flat tendency. Never perform w an instrument you have never used before. No two instruments are the same. A rooky mistake
Im a clarinet player but I still like listening to other instruments play this thursday my band gonna be performing halo 3 dont stop believing and pirates of the Caribbean
Okay, this isn't exactly a hard song to learn, i figured it out in two days, and i'm in 9th grade. Bari and tenor were pretty good at keeping the beat going, I know how hard syncopation can be sometimes. Alto, I am sorry dude but learn the key signature it was wrong notes all over the place. But OMG, soprano absolutely NAILED it, I was really impressed, some of the best tone I have ever heard! (I play alto, currently searching for a soprano)
my problem is that I have No experience with this kind of instrument. so for me now is hard to get high notes. and i have no idea how to do that im just traying and trying I can see a little progress on me but that´s all. now I just want to keep practicing and wait for what i'll get if y keep on that. anyway thank you a lot for what you said :)
I think that the soprano needs to hold his notes out for their full values a bit more. If he cuts them off so quickly, the music is left full of holes. Still ridiculously impressive.
Props to all four of ya'll. Are you guys being conducted? If not, I think it's amazing enough that all of you guys can stay in tempo and not dropping tempo or rushing. Together, it sounds awesome and all the parts definitely rely on each other.
SOME8Ody gave me a SOPRANO as a gift. i just play bass guitar and i wanted to learn to play saxo. but now that everybody says that the soprano is the HARDEST one. I'm worried. but i'm still will continue practicing. but its really bad when you have no help :c
Gonna just state this. The Soprano Sax is a pain to play when you just start on it. But it becomes interesting to play when you start to get used to it.
If that tenor player wasn't so damn flat it would be the best i've heard so far as for this song in a sax quartet, but it killied, and as for the soprano, the flatness there was an embechoure thing, but he was good none-the-less, my hats off to him =D
xDDD Dude I want to talk my middle school band teacher into letting me and a few other saxs to play this that would be flipping AMAZING!!!!!!!!! But my band teacher sucks!
been playing for 6 years. i was in my schools jazz band my the 7th grade. played this song with no problem my 2nd year playing. this dude obviously doesnt practice or he just doesnt care about playing at all.

The soprano sax player is BOSS and he just made my day!

The soprano got the most love because he has the best tone and probably the best skill.

@dur0b Why are so many kids asking where to get the music? It is sold at dozens of insturmental music stores and sites on the internet.
HOLY SHIT!!! THIS IS INCREDIBLE!!!
my problem is that I have No experience with this kind of instrument. so for me now is hard to get high notes. and i have no idea how to do that im just traying and trying I can see a little progress on me but that´s all. now I just want to keep practicing and wait for what i'll get if y keep on that. anyway thank you a lot for what you said :)
Who agrees with me that alto is the best.
+AK47MAN53 if only you could hear the alto, that's why tenor, bari and sop are best
I mean overall not just this video. Regor10
true
+AK47MAN53 Soprano is the best.
Nice vibrato with the soprano.
I love Bari and Alto
Anybody else just want to buy a saxophone to play this song xD
Really cool :D, I'm not real big on the soprano sax as lead, but, still, it was awesome.
awesome!!!!
GOOD JOB SAPRANO GOOD JOB ALL!!!!
Good job buddy, you get a cookie.
I'M IN LOVE! =)
I WANTED TO!! I WAS PISSED!
Alto kid needs to learn the right key signature and to stop speaking but damn soprano nailed it
Walkthroughwiz I don't think he's playing wrong notes, he's just really flat and has bad tone.
Squeaking
This is super late, but the Alto wasn't his, he commented on the video
that soprano is extremely good
Bari is EPIC!!!
I think that the soprano needs to hold his notes out for their full values a bit more. If he cuts them off so quickly, the music is left full of holes. Still ridiculously impressive.
soprano player = BOSS
AMAZING
This Saprano inspired me to get a saprano and play lol
I knew about the soprillo saxophone... I've seen saxophones that are smaller... I don't know the official name... but they are insanely hard to play
Props to all four of ya'll. Are you guys being conducted? If not, I think it's amazing enough that all of you guys can stay in tempo and not dropping tempo or rushing. Together, it sounds awesome and all the parts definitely rely on each other.
Soprillo saxophone if you look for it under piccolo saxophone its harder to find. i know Sax.co.uk sells them but they're quite expensive.
Goosebumps :3
one of the saxophones kept squeaking and hitting wrong notes i think it was the alto
+Joe Jiang He's playing right notes, he was just flat and had terrible tone...
@ofalltheothers it's usually fine as long as you have like another alto or something to even out the sound
oh yeah you have to be really awesome to play a soprillo well. i think theres a video on youtube where a guy switches from a soprillo to a tubax.
@ShoeBob98 Yeah i started on alto too but low notes on bari are easy i really hate playing high notes on bari. Alto I have a good rage of everything
I play trumpet, but too me that kid with the saprano is getting w scholarship same with the Bari they both nailed it alto not so much
alto dude was his first time on alto and supposedly borrowing horn so he was flat af
i play all four of those saxophones but my main two are alto and bari :)
of you know one you know them all.
Not bad for high school kids.
I have seen the metropolitan sax quartet play this and the tenor was growling like crazy
@AstroidMan84 that bari player is awesome too.
@TheFatBaby i wasn't talking about the tone, which was amazing, i was talking about a part of the beginning. but the performance was amazing
Tenor for the win :)
that soprano players amazing
SOME8Ody gave me a SOPRANO as a gift. i just play bass guitar and i wanted to learn to play saxo. but now that everybody says that the soprano is the HARDEST one. I'm worried. but i'm still will continue practicing. but its really bad when you have no help :c
i got the 1,000th like
im a clarinet player converted to alto 6 months ago and i could play this
soprano has the best sound.
@trumpetsownu94
hellz yeah! and Tenor is second =P
Gonna just state this. The Soprano Sax is a pain to play when you just start on it. But it becomes interesting to play when you start to get used to it.
Soprano is just ROCKIN OUT xD
i play alto, i SO wish i could do this!!! i can play it, but need to find someone that plays saprano!
Lovely
Very well played. Tenor was quiet off key, but technically good! Soprano sounds awesome!
drew has talent
If that tenor player wasn't so damn flat it would be the best i've heard so far as for this song in a sax quartet, but it killied, and as for the soprano, the flatness there was an embechoure thing, but he was good none-the-less, my hats off to him =D
Yay! Is it chocolate chip?
xDDD Dude I want to talk my middle school band teacher into letting me and a few other saxs to play this that would be flipping AMAZING!!!!!!!!! But my band teacher sucks!
been playing for 6 years. i was in my schools jazz band my the 7th grade. played this song with no problem my 2nd year playing. this dude obviously doesnt practice or he just doesnt care about playing at all.
Trumpet love😍😍😍 Any one else
why are you even here
Not me, son of the llorona, i love sax 😜🤪
Soprano is the most important part in a saxophone quartet and quintet. I, myself, play bari sax though.
that soprano player is FUCKING awsome
Mine does to, my sister dropped it and bent EVERYTHING
I play this on Tenor Sax :)
