- Comments on some of the other subscription box videos we've done in the past called out some clerical errors...i.e. we messed up and didn't include some really really good boxes. So, as usual, we heard ya, we got some and now here they are. In this video we are unboxing Dark Horse Tackle and the Bait School Bank and Creek fishing subscription boxes from February and March! Thanks to y'all for calling these out because they're great and have a ton to offer.

What do you think of these subscription options?
So happy you guys got the bank & creek bags. Watched TJ81 open a couple and speak highly of them. Hence why I suggested you look at them
I just got my first bank and creek bag and I love it. So I have heard of it lol Finally found something cool before you two did!! But my bag was damaged. other than that very happy with the purchase. Sick creek baits!!!
Nothing beats a bento box. Just keep an eye out in January. They release a few without subscription time to time. AZ for the win!
Also, they usually have at least a few leftover at the end of the month. Check the last week of the month.
One thing to tell the viewers with the Bank and Creek bag is that it comes out every 2 months. The First ag you showed was January/February and the second bag was for March/April.

I have been liking the bank and creek bags. I got the 2 bags you opened and can’t wait to use them.
The big joshy swimbaits are insane I caught most of my fish on it the past few years try it on the jigmasters sled head the roll on them is very unique and action is over all fire
So LS lures is based out of Lincoln Nebraska and is ran by recent college grads. Every bait is hand made and they are all around good guys. Cool to see them in subscription boxes.

Oh, sorry, got on my soap box and forgot to say, that this was a very helpful video, I have been currious about these box subscriptions, the Bank and Creek seems to be the one I like, but the dark Horse is very cool as well, love J Bro lures, all American Made and some unique colors and patterns, I have a few of JBros, they are fantastic.

Love the old baits getting new life over at LureNet. I had to grab a pack of the Hula poppers 2.0. For me as a kid top water meant either a Hula popper or jitterbug
I ordered the March bank and creek bag 2 weeks ago, I ordered this on a Friday and was delivered the following Monday, can't praise them enough. I highly recommend them.

Hook up tackle bento box open subscriptions occur in January. Monthly boxes that are left over go up for sale on Sundays. It varies on which Sunday they release them to the public.

Lol the JDM box you can't get reminds me of a violin rosin that you can't get until the maker allows you on his list! Oh well, there are several others that are excellent.
The hook up tackle should release some leftovers from this months bento box this Sunday or the next! You gotta be quick to pick them up since they sell out quick due to the limited color 110 and Pop max.
Every month, the hookup tackle has a few boxes left over at the end of the month, I grab one then

I heard Nathan Quincy talk about that brand bitters he loves their senkos because of how many you get in a pack and I believe he said their from Florida

Yep I liked it, and I'm not a subscription box person! Really these were cool! I would buy them. Thanks, I would rather have baits from companies other anglers may not have heard of, not only are unique but are quality lures as well as paired with terminal that works with the included baits. I might have a hard time deciding which subscription I liked better. The 1st one I liked that a reusable plastic bag that everything fit in came with it. The second one had some very cool unique baits as well including a glide bait! Thanks 4 sharing this with us, nerds rule...FishOn...Jim
Just got my first Lurenet Bank and Creek bag and love love it!
I need that Perch BF bait from the dark horse box.. Ran straight to the Forbitten site, and it’s not even shown anymore. Some baits are marked as sold out. It doesn’t even have a spot. Would love to get my hands on one. They do have some cool stuff. But two of the three baits I’d buy today are sold out. None the less I’ll probably end up with and order from them real soon. 😀
So after emailing Forbitten baits, it turned out you can buy their BF Swimbait from Dark horse. I was surprised to see it was available in the Darkhorse Build your own Box series, which is and awesome idea. I love getting to choose my own baits and colors. So much better than a regular mystery box. I went with the Just Right BYOB, was able to nab the Perch Swimbait, the Picasso Smartmouth, the bass reaper square bill, two righteous tackle Jerbaits, and a bitters naked swimmer to go with the Picasso smartmouth. Darkhorse is definitely doing it right. I think it’s gonna be an awesome box and can’t wait to try the baits.

Picasso is definitely not a small brand anymore. You can find them in some big chain stores noe plus multiple bigger online tackle places. Dark horse stepped out of the actual box "full" of small garage bait companies a couple years ago.
Picasso is still an American small business. Granted, they are not the smallest, but there are a lot of folks that are not aware of them so they still fit our standard. As far as years ago, everything starts somewhere. I was a subscriber for almost two years and bought one of the owners out in Nov. 22’. We are making a lot of changes and constantly striving to put out great boxes.
@@metaljones3904 anything that can be bought in a big chain store isn't technically a small business. Maybe medium size business but definitely not small anymore. They are in multiple larger online tackle shops too including the biggest in the world lol. By now most people (especially those that watch youtube) have heard of Picasso. After tacticalbassin featured some of Picassos lures they became a much more known name js lol.
I get the bank and creek boxes myself. They come with a numbered illustration by Frank Scalish (Uncle Frank). They are sweet!

I live in AZ now and bento boxes get posted for purchase when they have leftover ers a month later. Also they use Instagram for people to get on the list is what I heard. But there might be another way too

I liked the old Hendrix Fishing subscription box, but they stopped doing the boxes. They seem mostly now doing their brand. Their stuff isn't bad. But I miss the variety.
I don't know if they might be retooling up again. I hope so.
It was a competitor of Dark Horse Tackle, all cottage industry baits, like Pigjigs, Fish or Die, Stoneman and Son, et. al.
The problem if you started to like these kitchen bait manufacturers, it's just too expensive to order 1,2 items across 6,7 makers. Some of the shipping can be stiff, the deal breaker. Hendrix Fishing acted like a tackle warehouse for them, with the subscriber boxes.
As for Dark Horse, they will sometimes drift a bit, is Bitter Bait a small outfit, nothing wrong with their baits, but still a bit of a large web presence? As I recall Bitter finds their way into the box.
I liked the looks of Bank and Creek, but I wish they lean a little more to BFS size weights like Mule Tackle.
I have so much Monsterbass bass stuff, when you start getting over 1/8 in jigs, moving more to bass, I balk.
The Bank and Creek does look like a good item if you just want a bag of stuff to go down for a day at the Mayberry fishing hole. Seems very well thought out. Looking very good.
I actually like that the march bag was missing hard baits. 👍
I prefer jigs, Ned rigs, spinners, plastic soft baits, over hard baits, shore bank fishing.

the bento box is limited to a certain number of subscribers each year for the full year. Each January you can get accepted as people don't renew while there are openings.
We reached out a few times. Is there a presale link or something???
@@aaanglers just gotta watch for the link to become available. Check the weekly hookup tackle new release videos around the end of the year for the announcement. I was able to just log on and join when the new subscriptions became available.

That vector hook is a direct rip off of the xcalibur twisted treble hook that came in the original xcalibur baits from the late 90s to early 2000s. The intention of it is when one hook grabs and buried to the bend the twist turns a second hook point into the fish.
from what i know or remember the Bento box is only limit to 100 subscription; so you have to be on the waiting list until someone leave or give up their subscription for the next person on the waiting list to get in
So we will never get it….

I know from watching punch fishing who was subscribed to bento I believe he stopped not sure cuz although you get some killer baits and custom 110’s and pop max he said he has enough to last him his lifetime witch I can see it’ll be cool if they switch up the megabass baits every now and again

Daiwa Gekkabijin, Shimano Aldebaran BFS, or Shimano Conquest BFS for all around BFS fishing. Money isn't a factor and I might do a little bit of saltwater mixed in but mostly freshwater. Also, where would the Shimano SLX BFS fall?

The heard the wait time for the bentos is insane. You have to look towards the end of the year but there is so many people waiting it’s near impossible to sign up for them

Question on the Bank and Creek bag, the second one you showed a Sneaky underspin, what weight is that ? as far as the Bento Box,Hard Pass From me, Like the baits if you will, but the exchange rate for American Dollar to yen is huge right now, they should be offering that box at a discount, but instead charge a higher price, so we are funneling lots of money to a foreign country...actually, Hook up tackle propably pockets s loads of doe, buying cheap at japaneese rate and selling high to American buyers, not interested in supporting Hookup Tackle....HARD PASS !

I just saw a video on hook up tackle. they have a 25th anniversary box right now that's open to anyone. the subscription is opened up for new subscribers at the first of the year. I ordered one yesterday.
