I did see information that this park had been voted Britain’s favourite park. Looks nice especially around the clock tower and bandstand. Nice cafe area too👌😉

We was there on Friday 9th September we did some filming there not all of the park though as it was 3 in the afternoon I fond memories of Stanley Park

Great video buddy, I only went their once in the several years i lived in blackpool, I might move back and do videos buddy. i wasnt aware of many ofr the things you showed in that park buddy.
Used to be able to go to the top of the clock tower. You had to put a threepenny bit in the turnstile. But we used to squeeze through the bars. Was thin in those days. 😄😂

I have always liked Stanley Park. Parking is a nightmare so you are always best walking or getting a bus there. Regarding the cricket ground, it is also Lancashire County Cricket Club’s second ground when they can’t use Old Trafford.

Hi Steven, on saturday the 3rd of Sept there is a masters rugby league festival on the pitches at Stanley Park. There will be over 400 playersag3d 35 and over playing rugby on 5 pitches.

Excellent episode Stephen, Stanley Park is larger than I imagined, how many acres does it cover?

A good third of it is part of the golf course which hardly anyone goes on from the general public so it's even bigger than we imagine! Plus, the back nine of the golf course is situated outside the main park and so could be considered a part of it. Finally, much of it is the lake which you can't walk on, unless you're a magician!
What bus goes near Stanley Park? I've not been there for a few years, I'd like to go for a wander around. Looked very popular with the locals.

Blackpool really deserves its popularity as being uks number 1 seaside resort for decades after decades !!! Well deserved...
So somuch to offer.
Crewe park used to be the best in the United Kingdom. Sadly the train, the green houses, the bird sanctuaries, the ornamental gardens, have all gone. Still a very attractive park but just plain, now. Stanley Park is really nice looking and various spacious.
Crewe Park isn't a patch on it's former glory. Last time I went I was not impressed.
@@lyramidsummer5508 I agree, totally. It was magnificent in its day, truly magnificent, and the council went and destroyed it.
Why the hell did the council destroy such a wonderful place? I loved going there as only lived a few miles away. It was a wonder to behold, and now it is basically levelled.
I cannot see the victory parades going on there, as in the past, starting at the clock.
It was my favourite place when I was a little girl. Everything is being destroyed by greedy elites raiding tax payers coffers.
@@lyramidsummer5508 True, so true. The pigs just grunt a good grunt, grab what they can, and leave a mess behind them. It is all about ME, ME, ME, and the faces on them as hard as a concrete wall. If I saw one of them on fire I would go and get some petrol to aid the fire.
