The show only took place Monday so it couldn't happen sooner than that :p And the replay, which is what I need to record and upload, only came Wednesday so that's why I needed a couple of days to get it online.

Jakob Butturff is a fantastic bowler, i have no doubts about that.. but i find his approach style of running to the line a little funny and odd.. but hey it works for him.. so good on him
Yes and no. The position at the top of the swing is about the only thing that's similar. His timing mechanism is much different and what the key in on is probably different too.

Butturff should have lost about three times before even getting on the telecast. He got bailed out by his opponents countless times during match play. He was ridiculously lucky this week.

What's different about the speed gun here as opposed to a regular league ? Because there's no way that Hupe or Sloan was throwing the ball 19.5 or 20 mph. At least according to the lanes I bowl on.
This is measuring off hand speed. At most bowling alleys the radar is by the pins so you get the speed down there. The ball loses 2 to 3 mph on its way down the lane. So now you can guess the speed they'd see at your bowling alley.
Feel like the oil patterns a little unfair for right and left handed players bc it's not the same on each side so its almost like a different pattern for a left hander vs right hander
Idk why the ball reps didn't advise hollman to move like 2 boards right instead of that huge loft on the left lane. The loft only did but so much,then if he was bowling from 4th or 5th place if it would have dried up even more then he would have lofted it higher? That's dumb. Hollman had a good opportunity to win. But that's what separates the greats from the amateurs, ADJUSTMENTS SIMPLE.
Why the hell would anyone wear a goddamn WRIST WATCH when in a bowling tournament this important? Why have ANYTHING unnecessary attached to your body when its this important?

The death of professional bowling - drunk fans screaming - rap music - partying/drinking - two handed - blue oil - crap TV contracts - just totally ridiculous - once a game like golf - good concentration - quiet crowd. It reminds me more of WWE wrestling which is what it is. You don't see the PGA doing this BS.
Metal Flyer except the PGA does have shot tracing which is basically the same as the oil being visible. Also in regards to the fans chanting/being drunk, have you never watched the Waste Management Open? Literally the 16th hole is a party hole and 10x worse that this.

The young think I am crazy because they all want to be PBA superstars with two handed styles but I came from the era of good players with spare making and accurate shot making. The era when the fans respected the bowlers and a 300 game was cheered in leagues (and rare).
Metal Flyer I do agree that bowling has declined a lot and the styles of bowling has drastically changed. That doesn’t mean it’s for the worse. If you think of that same regard towards golf then people like Jim Furyk and Bubba Watson would be looked down on as they have such different styles of golf from the norm of the tour. I understand your point of view but I hope it doesn’t mean you won’t give the newer upcoming generation the chance. Unfortunately no sport has remained 100% original from the very beginning.
