In this video Canadian Guitarist/producer Dean Wolfe reacts to Galneryus for the first time, and the song is The Force of Courage, recorded LIVE
A LITTLE ABOUT ME: I'm Dean Wolfe, a mostly self-taught Canadian guitarist/composer/multi-instrumentalist/singer/producer/performer. I started out as a full time musician on the road at age 17 for two years, but went part-time ever since while holding day careers including as a chef and in spiritual health care while raising a family.
I've recorded hundreds of my own songs- many being used in media and award winning documentaries etc. I've been in several bands including a prog/jazz fusion act nFuze, performing in International Jazz festivals and jazz clubs. I abandoned the prog genre more or less back in the 1990s but have returned to it now with vigour a full 30 years later- so much prog I've ignored and quite frankly didn't have any idea about. My own prog band was rejected by record labels as "too progressive' in the late 80s, so i detoured into grunge, pop and alternative instead (then folk and acoustic fingerstyle guitar and ambient electric as well).

Thansk for doing my request! I maybe should've just given you the audio version for it, but I thought you might enjoy the Live performances because they are so much fun to see
this band is absolutely amazing, they have a great blend between great progressive metal with some power metal melodies and vocals and plenty of classical influence, and a lot of technical play especially from the guitarist.
The band formed in 2001 by the guitarist and the old singer. Syu the guitarist of band is like a mix of Petrucci and Mamsteen, the guy's control over his instrument is insane and really likes putting classical music influences in his music, all while being a great songwritter.
The band has only one guitarist, the harmonies with the guitar are done by the keyboardist, he does that a lot when he plays 2 synths at the same time with each hand lol (he usually has like 7 or 8 keyboards with him in their Live shows lol)

I didn't know them, but only the vocalists. He made a million-seller hit as a solo singer in the 90's.

Yeah he was a very successful metal vocalist in Japan in the late 80s and 90s, he joined Galneryus in 2008 after the old singer Yama-B left.
Check out the band, if you are into progressive power metal with a lot of neo classical and symphonic metal influences then you'll love them

      Thank you for your information.
I'm not very familiar with metal.
My favorite Japanese progressive metal band is NOVELA.
Check out song 黎明 ( The Dawn Of …)

@@Aki-Ho Oh thanks, I've heard of them before, I listened to their album called "La Songerie" and I've just listened to your suggestion, they are great, definetly gonna listen to more of them
Lately I've had a new favorite Japanese progressive metal band called "Pageant".
Check out their album "Pageant The Pay For Dreamer's Sin (1989)" (you can find it full on TH-cam), it's what introduced me to them

      Wow‼︎ PAGEANT ‼︎ I love them.
I didn't know that PAGEANT is categorized as metal.
Dean reacted to MR SIRIUS 5 months ago.
MR SIRIUS was a band of Kazuhiro Miyatake and Hiroko Nagai who participated PAGEANT.
      Please check it out.
I also recommend you Scheherazade version of “The Boyhood ~ The Cliffs”

@@Aki-Ho I just check out MR SIRIUS and Dean's reaction, really great band.
you're right a lot of PAGEANT band members were in it. Very cool
Also I'm not sure if PAGEANT is metal, maybe they are just a Progressive rock band (especially since I think they were before the progressive metal era which I think started at the late 80s and early 90s)

Please listen to No more tears , it's a beautiful ballad and emotional song by Galneryus... I know you'll enjoy it!
Another good one for all the moves that it has is Rain of Tears
Galneryus is such a wonderful band! They catch the progressive power metal into a unique and special music
Each song takes me into a trip which I cannot scape and every time drives me into a tears... really
Thank you for giving us your react man!

Please listen to Oni by Shingetsu or Fragments of the dawn - Freeze (this 2 songs are tied together) by them. They are pretty good, there only album (as far as I know) is pretty solid, and there’s lots of mellotron in it
