I wish they would do just part of this to the show at Hollywood Studios because I loved the new intro and the part where Mickey actually talks to the Genie (the one at Hollywood Studios just has the water screens and no Mickey) The pirates scene in this is amazing too.
I have to say that the Dragon part would have to be my favorite part of the show.

I’ve always been fascinated with how good it sounds in person. The thought Disney put into the sound system is insane! I thought they where gonna replace it since it’s from 92, but apparently they kept it! Still Sounds great after all these years!
If anyone is wondering they use Meyer Sound on the poles and rising light stands and d&b audiotechnic on the roofs of the buildings and on stage
I love this new version, I just hope they bring back the original singers for the princess segment soon, then it will be perfect.
And by that I mean the whole show, but who are the original singers?
Jonathan Thompson The new female singer is Heather Headley (Part of Your World, See The Light) whose voice is beautiful! They actually took See The Light and Part of Your World from World of Color to be in the new Fantasmic if u recognize them.
@@jontheedge4286 Yes I agree, the new female singer and also the male, totally butchered the ORIGINAL FANTASMIC segment , tonally, with their lagging voices and the changed melody and timing! Bring BACK the OLD one or do the same, melodically.. Then it will be PERFECT!
I saw this when i was a kid and now 2017 remake freaking AWSOME !!!!!
*sigh* I'm very torn on this new version. I mean, on the one hand, those light/water effects are GODLY, completely blowing the original out of the park as a good update to an attraction should. I'll even say alot of the newer Mickey voice clips are welcome.
But on the other, like someone mentioned below, the timing and overall pay off of certain moments are so completely off. Take Mickeys entrance for example; the way the original has the music build, leading to him appear suddenly in ray of light that cuts through the dark, did NOT need changing.
Red Rodri They made that change to show Mickey looking around in fascination of entering his dream world before seeing what he can do in there.

The new show is great saw it Sunday after the meet and greet, thanks for the Fuel Rod advice Banks!, no giant Pinocchio puppets or the Ursula float (probably technically) difficult, but the Lion King, Aladdin, Pirates, and Tangled additions are great, only downside is that I like the singers in the original show better.
Kyle Fukumoto no I think they removed the puppets and Ursula has been gone for a while.

I wish that the disney world show fantasmic in Hollywood studios would do the 2.0 update with a new clean soundtrack like the one Disneyland California with new scenes like this one in the video
Nicholas Popovich Agreed. I love the original but I do think we should get an update. Maybe a new Dragon perhaps?
I personally think an update to ours (Hollywood Studios) would be kinda weird since I'm used to the show there but this new one (especially the new Mickey intro) is amazing.

Technology improvements are amazing and were necessary ! But i hate the new scenes added ! I miss the classic animation storys! TANGLED REally? (Its like spitting on Walts original first masterpiece "Snow White"////
The Aladdin part felt weird ! PIRATES i love the movie i love Jack but this is not Johnny Depp and not Keira Knightley neither Geoffrey Rush) and why is Elizabeth wearing a clowns dress???? All the scene feels cheesy !!
PETER PAN was much better in this show ! Kids Love PETER Soundtrack though remastered the changes are awfull ! This used to be my favorite show ever !! I miss and i will always be true to the original show , the one that still works! SORRY DISNEY ! Its a NO from me !

Tangled, in my opinion is mediocre (I grew up with Snow White) but "See the Light" is a beautiful song. I hope that they do not change the show at Disney World to include Tangled replacing Snow White. Snow White will forever always be a part of me. Fantasmic at Hollywood Studios is awesome and I hope that they never change it.
I don't think the timing is anything as good as the original. The music and actions don't match the fireworks and music like the original at all. It feels rushed and sloppily put together. The overuse of color is distracting. It doesn't add to the experience, it's highly annoying. These new projectors are blinding, my family can no longer watch the mist screens because of the blinding light coming right at you. None of the parts blend together, the segways are not well thought out. I don't like the new monkey music, but I do like the monkeys themselves. I wish it brought more jungle book into than lion king. Elephant music is ... creepier now, thanks? Going from elephants to genie doesn't work at all. That said I like genie turning into donald and goofy. I do not like the weird mickey puppet moment in genie's song, feels out of place. Until the little mermaid scene everything was way too rushed. Slow the flip down guys. There was nothing wrong with the original projectors. Even watching this on the computer hurts, live is worse. The added "animation" of pirates was unnecessary. Pirates was so forced and feels outdated when it's supposed to be new. Peter Pan is classic, Pirates is a box office cash grab. We don't need anymore. Also, the pirate boat scene doesn't have the same excitement as peter pan did. The flashes of light are annoying and distracting. I miss tick tock following the boat. It goes on way too long with PotC. The animation before Aladdin is ... weird and doesn't follow the animation of everything else. It's too modern and unnecessary. The carpet ride is nice but the singers ... need so much work. Beauty and beast song is too soft to follow whole new world. The new singer for little mermaid needs to be replaced. Ariel wasn't an alto, her singer shouldn't be one. The transition from little mermaid to rapunzel needs to be cut. It should go from Ready to Stand - At least I see, with no music in between like they had done with snow white. Snow white should have been kept. Adding is fine, if there is a point. It feels pointless here because it doesn't lead into the next segment like it had before. ALL singers need to be replaced or sent back to vocal coaches. Way too low. Mandy Moores high point was what made that song work. Princesses are not alto's stop giving their songs to altos. This is coming from an alto singer! It makes them sound older than they are supposed to be. Rapunzel's and Ariel's songs go on two beats too long. The Evil Queen was one of the highlights of the show, to cut her transformation is really hurting the show. Micky talking to the mirror doesn't work, the new old hag face isn't as good as the old one. Time to find that old one from the original. Ursula needed the update the most and she was the one part they neglected why? It's clearly cut together to the naked eye. It would been nice to see that one updated to a smoother scene. Showing us the dragon rising makes raising Maleficent pointless. It needed to be better thought out. It feels like a beta project and not a complete one meant for viewership. The Dragon is the best update! One this that actually looks awesome and works. Spotlight on mickey needs to be about 5 seconds earlier. I heard they were changing the ending the song, please don't. This song is iconic to the show. Like that they didn't change the ending boat song and kept it much the same. The fireworks used to go better with the music for the finale, it needs work. I used to nod my head to the song and fireworks, now I'm pulled out of the moment. Overall, other than updating Murphy the Dragon, the new changes weren't needed. The new mist screens are not an improvement. Adding color to the water is best left to WOC, Peter Pan was the classic we need, not the cash grab pirates wants. Singers need to be updated or original motion picture music used. Transitions and overall pacing needs serious work. If disney wants to hire me, I'd be more than happy to tell there where the problems are and giving possible solutions.

Actually, my friends are very intellectual and capable of in depth discussions. So yeah, I am fun at parties. but I'm not critiquing the party itself. I took a look at the changes made and gave my opinion. Based off of the previous version and the new version, this was my take away. I love Fantasmic. It has and will continue to be my favorite part of going to disneyland as a child/adult. I think to get back the emersion, there is alot to be fixed with the new version.

Disneyland is never complete - Walt Disney quote. It will in fact change as it has over the years. Also, your logic is horribly flawed. The Disney World fantasmic was the model used for the update. With the new projection screens and sequences. Please try to know what you're talking about. And again, I don't hate everything about this one. I dislike the changes and detail why.
