I'm fairly certain there was an episode that had a chef cut themselves during cooking but didn't stop to properly bandage their wound and ended up getting blood in the food they tried to serve to the judges. Shouldn't that be on this list?
Biggest Chopped fail I ever saw was where the chef accidentally bled onto the plates he served the food on. The judges chopped him immediately because they couldn't eat it
Was it from the Redemption Episode?? The one who got out from the Grill Master Episode ended up getting chopped for Serving the judges dessert contaminated with blood
@@Silverryde Actually, I think the poster is referring to an episode from a few years ago when a chef was cooking so slowly in the appetizer round that he ended up with literally nothing on his plate. Geoffrey Zakarian just had his head on the counter and was shaking it.
I remember seeing an episode where the chef was adding alcohol of some sort to the dish. He added some to the pan, drank out of the bottle, and then poured more into the pan! My mom and I went 'Did he just do that?!' Which was the judges reaction too.
Two main fails that I remember from Chopped was one episode where a contestant served a raw fish device in the appetizer round, but the fish itself could not be served raw because of bacteria that needed to be cooked out. And another was during a celebrity chef tournament when one contestant made deviled eggs in the appetizer round, only to then forget THREE basket ingredients.
Also there was a halloween episode where a contestant literally forgot an ingredient but somebody else was chopped because they put ghost pepper seeds everywhere in their dish, making it inedible and actually dangerous to eat.
What I learned from randomly watching CHOPPED... 1. Never cook steak well done (I wonder how Filipino - Americans had to train themselves NOT to cook any cut of steak until well done) 2. Not to be heavy handed with truffle oil 3. The ice cream maker is not a friend 🤣
There was an episode about 4 years or so ago where a chef was sweating so horribly, their sweat dripped right off their face and constantly dripped into the food they were making. They were chopped because no one dared taste their food.
I think the WORST fail I've seen was when one of the chefs cut their finger and instead of properly bandaging and putting a finger cot on just kept going... There were drops of blood on the plates at judging!!
One fail I remember was the time where one of the ingredients was eel. Ted even told the chefs that they had to skin the eel because the skin is poisonous. One of them didn't follow Ted's advice and the judges refused to eat the eel.
My favorite was the guy who didn’t finish the meal in time. The reveal for the plate being eliminated was a top 5 laugh in my life. All the build up music and they reveal an empty plate lol
I remember this one contestant/chef (if you guys know the episode, please let me know, because I don't remember what season it was from!), but he cut himself in the appetizer round (don't remember if he got blood on the plate or not). After moving on, not only did he DOUBLE DIP his tasting spoon during the Entree round, but he did it AGAIN IN THE DESSERT ROUND. I have never seen anyone do something so disgusting before, and I'm glad he got chopped at the end. 😂
I want to go on Chopped just to troll tf out of the judges.. For my appetizer I will make an onion bread toast, with onion jam spread and raw onion for my garnish...
I remember that one where a chef panicked and some of the plates literally had nothing on it 😂 the slide show shots of the dish when the judges were gonna taste it were comical!
It’s moments like this that make me feel juuuuust a little bit better about my own incompetence in the kitchen…. I tried frying pepperoni in a pan once, and it ended BADLY…. It burned into charcoal, and we had to open windows and the screen door to get rid of the smoke, and my dog Fergus barked the haze, LOL
I always feel so bad for the chefs when the ingredients are viewers’ choice. They always pick the worst, most illogical pairings, and I don’t even know how half the time how they’re supposed to make something edible out of it.
Whoever's reading this,I pray that whatever you're going through gets better and whatever you're struggling with or worrying about is going to be fine and that everyone has a fantastic day! amen
In the Circus Episode During the Entree Round, This Chef Accidentally Added syrup from the Candy Apples to his Cheese Sauce and ended up red and During the Dessert, Another Chef Tried to make Funnel Cake Soufflé and It ended up being a Disaster because he only had 10mins to make it and he only placed one on a Plate Raw and the Rest were just Smoked Cream and Popcorn with Snowcone Syrup
I remember someone who worked soooooooo slowly that he ended up plating nothing. He ended up appearing on a second episode. At least his performance improved. This wasn't someone who ended up on this list.
The Redemption episode when The Firefighter chef missed a basket Ingredient for his Pasta in the Appetizer Round and Made a Mess with the Red Wine Reduction because of the last and final seconds in the entree round. His Dish Stand Out in the Dessert Round but he Got Chopped because of the First 2 Rounds

I remember that episode!
@@packnetadaija me too!
First one I thought of
I remember that. She told the judges that she didn’t have cooties. SMH
I remember that episode, I'm pretty sure the only reason he stopped was because the crew had to physically stop him and make him clean up his station!
It’s always a fail to try and go for the ice cream machine, you never make it in time!
Some one always does it too
Biggest Chopped fail I ever saw was where the chef accidentally bled onto the plates he served the food on. The judges chopped him immediately because they couldn't eat it
Was it from the Redemption Episode??
The one who got out from the Grill Master Episode ended up getting chopped for Serving the judges dessert contaminated with blood
I’m surprised that the episode where a chef had to serve completely empty plates was not on the list.
Chef Gwen! I remember him.
WHY DIDNT THEY INCLUDE THAT. we need 10 more lets be real
It happened twice mostly because they bleed on the dish
Yo I remember that too
@@Silverryde Actually, I think the poster is referring to an episode from a few years ago when a chef was cooking so slowly in the appetizer round that he ended up with literally nothing on his plate. Geoffrey Zakarian just had his head on the counter and was shaking it.
I love chopped. the Cornish Hen disaater is unforgettable. seriously that was a nightmare

Are you speaking of the raw eel incident with that first one?
Also there was a halloween episode where a contestant literally forgot an ingredient but somebody else was chopped because they put ghost pepper seeds everywhere in their dish, making it inedible and actually dangerous to eat.
What I learned from randomly watching CHOPPED...
1. Never cook steak well done (I wonder how Filipino - Americans had to train themselves NOT to cook any cut of steak until well done)
2. Not to be heavy handed with truffle oil
3. The ice cream maker is not a friend 🤣
Neither is the Dewp fryer
4. Don’t make French toast for dessert.
5. Don’t make bread pudding for dessert.
6. Puff pastry never cooks all the way through.

7-Avoid polenta and risotto at all costs
Almost everybodys mixed up sugar and salt at least ONCE. That shouldve been way lower
yeah, but most of us are not professional chefs. #2 on that list IS a professional chef.
not sure how you can confuse them, they have noticeably different crystals
Yeah. I did it with a soup once. But my mom really liked it 😂 but I was just a kid
There was an episode about 4 years or so ago where a chef was sweating so horribly, their sweat dripped right off their face and constantly dripped into the food they were making. They were chopped because no one dared taste their food.
There was a chef that kept double dipping when tasting. Even after they pointed it out, he still kept doing it.
Jeez Louise I learned that in a high school cooking class!
I think the WORST fail I've seen was when one of the chefs cut their finger and instead of properly bandaging and putting a finger cot on just kept going... There were drops of blood on the plates at judging!!
Yeah, I remember that episode.
@@jay1hi547 it was SO gross!!

I’ve seen that one
My favorite was the guy who didn’t finish the meal in time. The reveal for the plate being eliminated was a top 5 laugh in my life. All the build up music and they reveal an empty plate lol
You want to know another one, in season 1 a chef contestant didn’t get a single item on his plate, not even a garnish.
Wasn't that the French guy who later appeared in another episode
Well done. Please make a part two, three and four about Chopped. Keep it up.
Chopped 🆚 Cutthroat Kitchen
🆚 Guy's Grocery Games
I love Cutthroat Kitchen! "Make a Paella using only a cocktail fork and a five foot long spatula with one hand tied behind your back" lol
Oh of course I’ll just add this chocolate I’m just carrying in my back pocket…. lol what?!

I kind of want to see a list of the craziest mystery basket ingredients to ever appear on Chopped.
These may be fails, but now I feel hungry.
I want to go on Chopped just to troll tf out of the judges.. For my appetizer I will make an onion bread toast, with onion jam spread and raw onion for my garnish...
I would love a part two and one about the most arrogant chefs on the show l cuz Oooo boy! There are plenty to choose from
My first thought was “anytime they make a dash to the ice cream machine” 😂
I remember that one where a chef panicked and some of the plates literally had nothing on it 😂 the slide show shots of the dish when the judges were gonna taste it were comical!
I love the idea of chicken feet: eat and pick your teeth at the same time
good video
What about the raw eel? That could have killed the judges

I had food poisoning cause of chicken. Don’t ask
Let’s have a pt 2 of this list. There’s so many moments that went bad on this show, and counting.
50: She did what with the chicken? Ugh.
Glad the judge caught the potential salmonella poisoning before it was too late.
