Blue Marble Garden is good. Maybe someday she finds a bunch of kids playin in the dirt with some blue marbles, growing their friendship, and that becomes another metaphor.
Alien Dreams sounds better to me for the musical name, because it might be about people dreaming dreams which are alien to their culture.
My mind went to “Alien Dreams” too; feels more musical. “Dreams of an Alien” sounds better as the title of a novel. Either way, still captures the theme.
Or, how about “Extra-Terrestrial Dreams”? Has a nice lyrical quality.
James Humphrey I feel like Alien Dreams works better solely for the double meaning. It could be the dreams of an extraterrestrial alien, as well as dreams that seem foreign or alien to her peers.

“All I want is a home” Means she didnt feel at home at her own planet. Could be that her parents died, and the people that took her in did so grudgingly and aren’t very loving. Her odd fascination and belief in earth caused others to make fun of her, leaving her friendless and alone for years and years. And that’s why she had no problem leaving her planet, in the hopes that she’ll finally find a place she can call home.
Definitely sounds Disney with the dead parents... How about her parents are just very interested in the whole invader cause and she's been watching those movies (causing her parents to be worried) and she's starting to think of other alien races (including humans) as potential equals instead of naturally inferior creatures that need us to tell them what to do or else they'll perish. I bring you: Coco Moana In Space, or Parents Can Be Useful As Secondary Antagonists.

This feels like a romance story where shes fallen in love with the image she has of someone, but as she spends time with them she starts to grow disillusioned, but then she starts to see them for who they are and sees all their good points and learns to love them for who they actually ar, flaws and all, and not the perfect person she thought they were. Thinking title of "Garden in the Sky." Kinda captures the high hopes aspect of the alien.
You should follow this up with a song about what happens when she makes it there. It would be one of those sad, sobering songs you see where the idealism is shattered and the character mourns. "What happened to my Garden in the Sky?" The musical would continue onward and upward of course. I can just hear this song lending itself to that type of plot turnaround we see all the time.
Update to my previous comments -- I recently became a devotee of the sci-fi video game "Outer Wilds", and I now have this wild idea in my head about this hypothetical alien musical being about the Nomai, the wise, nomadic alien race the game's story focuses on, and Malinda's character is Solanum, the young, idealistic Nomai girl whom we meet in the game. This would definitely be "alternate universe" to "Outer Wilds", since there are no humans in the universe of the game, but I admit I'm enamored with the idea of the Nomai existing in our universe as well.

so the alien thinks humans are great and wise, but after 2 or 3 days on earth, people start bullying her and cussing at her. she tries to tell them that fighting is wrong, but they don’t listen. she then realizes that humans are actually bad people and goes back to space. that’s when she sings the reprise.

As a musical theatre nerd this was amazing, quick question to consider. Have you ever heard of random encounters. They make original songs about video games but sometimes they will do a supercut. A series spread across multiple videos each with a song and story. With your amazing vocal range and artistic mind maybe you should consider doing what they do for a one off series featuring an original story and brilliant songs. I am sure I speak for all of us when I say we are willing to wait. Please have an amazing day and do consider this as it will be truly amazing
