Fun Fact: All of these Makuta's names are actually derived from bat-related words. The most obvious is Vamprah coming from Vampire Bat, Chirox comes from Chiroptera, the Order that bats are under in scientific classification, and Antroz comes from Antrozous Pallidus, the scientific name for the Pallid Bat. I've been on the Bionicle Wiki for too long.
The Lego Detective They probably tasted like rubber. I was probably a spazzy 8-9 year old by then. I can only imagine it being more so for the feel/sensory, rather than the taste.
Behold, Makuta is actually a species and not just one person! (at lego, they are rushing for Makuta's actual name) Random Guy- Terry and that my friends is how Teridax is his name...
Actually, while this is funny, Teridax and Miserix were both named after Terror and Misery respectively with the X-suffix commonly used on the "main" Makuta.
Funny how by the time of the Phantoka Makuta's deaths to the energy storms, Vamprah was totally chill with his eyes melting out of their sockets, Antroz could see again because he sat in a Ford F150, Mutran had been too busy powerleveling in Runescape to go outside and never got blinded, and Icarax was never blinded and ironically got atomized _before_ the equivalent of seventeen simultaneous nukes started going off in Karda Nui, leaving poor Chirox to be the only one who never got used to his blindness at the time of his death. Side note, but I find it interesting that both of the Makuta who died prior to the energy storms hitting were killed by Gorast via the use of her Felnas to make them dissipate on a molecular level.
ah. i have a great story for these guys. The first one i got was Chirox, when the sets released. Only one i got. Then later, like 4 years later in 2012, i found Vamprah, just sitting in a store. Popular store, no reason it should have been there. Got it for 5 Australian dollars. witch is like 3 Us dollars. Then, in 2014, i go on a trip to Italy and Europe. And what do i find in some random flea market in some town? Antroz, my favourite of the 3. So over 6 years, i found all of these in places i shouldn't have. Great video!
@@legoroan9866 I know this is 2 years later, but I got my first Bionicle set at a school sale as well in 2014 or something, it was Kirop, and my little brother got Berix, when we didn't know almost anything about the series. I later got all six 2008 Makuta (apart from Icarax) and the three shadow Matoran as well from Bricklink
Your issue with Chirox's blades is related to you connecting them incorrectly. I've just checked the instructions off Lego's website and I've confirmed this.

God, I miss having that set...😞 Never forgave my younger brother for chewing on my Shadow Leeches, while I was at school!

@@talantedslayer2837 What confuses me about this is that they don't actually have any eyes. The Makuta are just antidermis in a metal shell. It's an oops on the story team's part in my mind
Got Vamprah brand new on eBay 5 years back for $18. In my opinion he’s probably the best designed and looking canister set ever released. He looks so cool, his color scheme is awesome, mask is great, so much poseability, and he’s entirely unique from the other two.
Maybe because almost all blue characters are female (except blue rahkshi, Vezok, Takodox, Vamprah, Tarix and Berix). I refer Bohroks, Visorak and Vaki by it.
I modified vamprah to have regular legs using parts from hahli mahri because all of her lime parts broke so I just had the metru blue parts, which just happened to line up with vamprah's blue.
I still have most of my Antroz parts in a box somewhere,12 years and it's a miracle I still have some of those blue shadow leeches. I remember breaking one of the wings and I think I lost half of the orange chest bomb but no worries haha
I actually found out that Makuta Chirox did create the Visorak Horde after asking a question on the Ask Makuta Krika Tumblr blog. I always that Roodaka created the Visorak Horde as a plan to invade Metru Nui and destroy the Toa Metru. Who would ever think that a bat like Makuta would create a giant army of spider like Rahi?. Well, he has Hordika arms, so I guess that counts. This goes to show that even the most insane Rahi species are created by the Makuta.
the black one here along with hes little black companion was the very last bionicles i ever bought before i got to old to continue buying Lego, really good looking sets these guys without a doubt

I can use the Makuta Phantoka as the other Toa Phantoka are Tahu Nuva ,Gali Nuva and Onua Nuva because the official Mistika Toa considering controversial because they are nothing looking like the previous Toa Nuva that are 2002 especially their masks so this Makuta Phantoka mask looks more like that Tahu Nuva Gali Nuva and Onua Nuva 2002 masks.
I took back Vamprah the night I got him because I thought he looked stupid and I hated that he couldn't stand on his back legs. Now he is my favorite Makuta ...
Back in the day I bought the Red/Black one just because he looked so cool. I didn't really immerse myself into the story at that time anymore but I thought he looked so cool I had to buy him. :D He is still one of the few After-2001/2003-Sets that actually look very cool to me.
I really hate how their torsos have a pin hole instead of an axle hole, because they could've easily had it be an axle hole and prevented the heads from wobbling
Vamprah is my favourite of these three. I’ve always been into the vampiric and gothic stuff, so seeing a bat like Bionicle was awesome. However, I never got to see it in stores when it came out, I basically got it yesterday 😂
