The 55 series John Deere was the last tractors my Father bought in the early 90's.I loved that 4455.It had the most hours. It started by breaking tobacco land in the late winter,to cutting cotton stalks in the late fall.I think that tractor had over 7000 hours with one engine overhaul and no transmission problem. Thanks for that restoration series Eric.
Great job Eric and Amigo. Tractor looks excellent. Got no use for anybody quitting and not saying anything. Could at least answer the phone. Great videos
been following your resto...you did an amazing job on this classic horse. You've got a talent for having the paint come out looking like that and paid extra special attention to the small details that add up to making it look factory new. Gotta be 2nd time around the block on that tach??
I've got an '88 4250 MFWD and it wears original paint. Has 13.6-28's on the front but 18.4-38's on rear. Want to go to 42's. Really would like the 55 series centers on mine so it would be easier to change rims. It's got right at 7K hours. I changed all the lights out to A&I LED like yours. Changed the nose to 55 series lights also. Added the 55 series lights under the battery boxes. I even added a 3rd remote. I had to get several oil leaks and few other things fixed at JD after I bought it. All that said, I wouldn't take any less than $60K for it right now. So yours would easily be $80K. But honestly, I would never sell that tractor. It's basically brand new. You couldn't replace it with a new one for that kind of money. 50 and 55 series tractors are probably the best that Deere ever put out. IMO. Keep it and enjoy it. Don't let go of her.
A good ole Soundguard restored to original glory is priceless compared to the modern ones run on software and chips, IMO . Awesome job, love seeing these classics looking new, it should serve you well for another couple decades
Good job! Also really enjoying the videos ! I live in Florida now but grew up in Fintville, Watching your videos allows me to be back home in a way lol. I appreciate your passion for what yall are creating! Keep it up! Just a guess with new tires all the wall around to include all the work / upgrades / Repairs $75,000, the paint job alone with the layers would be expensive lol Great work , I look forward to more videos!
Extremely nice tractor, good job! And with Tommy, if had issues with the employment,he could’ve been man enough to sit down with you and have a conversation, or in the event a better opportunity came along for him, again he could’ve been a man about it and thanked you for the time you offered him with his employment at your operation…either which way he could’ve just been a man about it.
Awesome job on the tractor. I've had people that worked for me that I trusted with business and never 2nd guessed them one bit. But if they left me with no notice or just walked off, I don't care how good they were, they was no need to come back.
that is one sweet 4455. in ont canada i believe it would bring $75k canadian.. buyers will always question the hours, especially with new paint. you did a beautiful job. too bad to lose tommy when you count on a good man. amigo will have to be the new #1. regards
You won’t believe this but mine has 1,619 hours and it doesn’t look anywhere close to yours (interior and exterior). I still wouldn’t take a dime less than $60k so I would say at least $100k for the work you have put in to ol girl.
60k to 70k if you put up for auction, if you would try to sell it yourself self it never brings top dollar it would sit there. Auctions for some reason people go nuts! Competition i guess 😂
Are you going to put a new cab kit inside… if not I would say 70 grand….. I hate that about Tommy I hope everything works out for him and his dad is well
No the hours are correct. It was bought new at my local dealer and never left the man’s farm. All the service records back it up. I’m well aware that it will flip over. Y’all know I’m going to do my research!!
Crappy deal with Tommy . He seemed like a decent guy going through some things . Maybe he got burnt out . Be nice to hear his side of the story sometime . Anyways the old deer looks great !
Unfortunately some things aren’t meant to be…if you treat your guys the way you restore old tractors it will be his loss! Onward and upward looks like a couple go getters for replacement. keep up the good work, beautiful job.
Man I hate that for you about Tommy. You try and be nice to someone and give them a bonus and then you get shit on that way. I know it hurt your feelings and pissed you off but in the end it'll hurt him way more than you. Hang in there we still love watching the channel the tractor looks great can't wait until planting season.
Around here now days i would say dealers would want $ 75-80 thousand.. Tommy is wrong for what he did to you.after all i have seen you do on here for him.. better off with out him
Man great job on the tractor I could tell in previous videos Tommy didn't seem happy wish him well🙏
Tractor looks SWEET, great job!

Your welcome!
Our 4455 had 17k hrs on engine when we decided to overhaul it. Still was running strong.
Great job Eric and Amigo. Tractor looks excellent. Got no use for anybody quitting and not saying anything. Could at least answer the phone. Great videos
Thank you!! I agree
Great restoration!
Thanks
She’s so purdy. Good work.
Tractor looks awesome 👍🏻😎💯🚜 💯 awesome job amigo!!
I think it's priceless. You did a great job.
Thank you

Nope it’s original hours. I personally knew the tractor. All it’s ever done is make hay.
@@TheCropCritic well I think you’ve got yourself a gem then…gotta be worth upwards of 100k with those hours and the way you got it looking now.
Thank you
Fine looking tractor
I know it would only be for looks but duals on the front and back would look good !

$50,000 plus, maybe more pre-def & low hours could bring a lot more
Yes sir two more new tires and two amigos are better than ten Tommy’s for sure 👍
Very well said!

That’s the same way we saw it. He chose the lower option that a human could do!
You did an awesome job
Thanks
It will look better now than it did new in the 80s
Excellent job! She looks beautiful..65000.00 and I might be to cheap.
Awesome job on the tractor. I've had people that worked for me that I trusted with business and never 2nd guessed them one bit. But if they left me with no notice or just walked off, I don't care how good they were, they was no need to come back.
Yeah he’s burnt his bridge here!
Just a thought, get an old tire tube and split it open and cut a square piece out of it. Put that in the bottom of the battery box.
Tractor looks great! Keep the chin’s up👍🏻
Thank
Thanks

We have never missed a crop because of help and I’m not going to start now!! We will just keep pressing forward!
how amigo's baby now, love your shop work thank you
She is better. Had RSV
Good thing u hired him then
Love video’s brother. Keep up good work. Tractor looks amazing. God bless your family.
Why would you go through alot of work to restore it and then put it to work, great to see you put the O.E exhaust stack.
Too good of a tractor to let it run down. It will never leave this place and I don’t run any junk so it’s not going to look like junk!!
It looks brand new
Good job!!
Thanks
That’s a sharp little tractor, it didn’t look that good when it was new.
I would guess in the range of 55 to 65k, great video, turned out awesome!
Thank you
Nice..very nice..Great job!
Thank you very much!
If you ever wanted to sell that tractor, I would be very interested. Been looking for one of those 4455s like that for a while.
Sounds like Tommy is out on a major bender!
Nice nothing like a deere
2k hrs reconditioned. I'd say 52500. In my area
I guess every farm don’t need a Tommy
Nope. Quit with no notice.
That tractor looks like it just come off the showroom. Awesome job Eric 👍
Thank you
I’m sure you’ve thought of it, but how much change in gear ratios will 28 inch wheels make?
Will not work that’s why we didn’t change them.
tractor looks to good to put back in the field as for bkt rubber i have them on my tractor 30 k maybe 35 k
Amigo shirts😊
Good idea!
That tractor there is Real Iron, Simple Raw Horsepower,Workhorse!!
2000 hrs. , dual tires -- 87,000
65 to 80. From what I see to get stupid money it has to be an original shed queen
I’d say from what I know about them tractors 75 to 80k on an off day 85k on a good day
Saw one sell last week with 3500 hrs for $54900.00
Are u coming to the mid south farm and gin show in Memphis
No sir I’m in Houston this weekend at the Classic.
Great job
Thanks bud
Should the front fender mounts be black? Either way, it looks great
No they are green from the factory.
As good as it looks and the low hours it should bring at 48 to 50 thousand.
$70.000-80,000 easy
Wish I lived close I live in west Tennessee I grew up on all Deere equipment but yea that would tick me off too if I gave him $4000 and he quit
You won’t believe this but mine has 1,619 hours and it doesn’t look anywhere close to yours (interior and exterior). I still wouldn’t take a dime less than $60k so I would say at least $100k for the work you have put in to ol girl.
That’s awesome that yours has that low of hours as well!
I just saw One go at auction for 80,000
60k to 70k if you put up for auction, if you would try to sell it yourself self it never brings top dollar it would sit there. Auctions for some reason people go nuts! Competition i guess 😂
I can't believe Tommy would have quit u he looked like he was a good farm hand
Took the bonus and gosted us.
I would estimate between $60k & 70k.
70-75k.
i would say atleast 45,000 minimum
In my neck of woods it be worth a strong 30 to 35000
Eric I think you done good job on the 4455
Thank you!
@@TheCropCritic are you bout done with the ole gal
I took the scv’s off to have them rebuilt. Once I have them back she will be ready.
Did you figure out what to do about a service truck?
Yes. We bought a fuel trailer.
@@TheCropCritic thunder creek
Change of thought $42000
I think it's worth 60K
$75,000 to $80,000
Are you going to put a new cab kit inside… if not I would say 70 grand….. I hate that about Tommy I hope everything works out for him and his dad is well
The cab is in excellent condition.
I'm a new subscriber that tractor is sharp I'll bet it is worth, $60,000😊😊
Thanks for watching!
65 to 75 thousand.
I’d say 60k because it has probably turned over in hour and is a 12000 hour tractor they turn back to 0 hours after 10000
No the hours are correct. It was bought new at my local dealer and never left the man’s farm. All the service records back it up. I’m well aware that it will flip over. Y’all know I’m going to do my research!!
That’s sucks with Tommy. How long did he work for y’all.
2.5 years
It's not worth anything so you can just drop it off at my place! That is all!
Crappy deal with Tommy . He seemed like a decent guy going through some things . Maybe he got burnt out . Be nice to hear his side of the story sometime .
Anyways the old deer looks great !
He just got extremely lazy not wanting to do anything. Also laying out of work at least 1 to 2 days a week. Lot more than what y’all get to see
Tommy did you wrong
Yes he did!
Unfortunately some things aren’t meant to be…if you treat your guys the way you restore old tractors it will be his loss! Onward and upward looks like a couple go getters for replacement. keep up the good work, beautiful job.
Yes. If you only knew how well he was treated. We definitely didn’t deserve for him to do us this way.
100% with ya it hurts more when you treat them like your own family.
Just boiled down that we treated him too well.
I would not take less than 70,000.00.
The tractor is worth a chunk of money, but I say it does not matter now. No way you would part with it.
She has a home for sure!
Man I hate that for you about Tommy. You try and be nice to someone and give them a bonus and then you get shit on that way. Thanks for the support!!
That is not right on Tommy’s part. Did you try to go to his house and talk to him?
No. I don’t beg anybody. He made his bed let him lay in it. Hate to sound like that but we took really good care of him.
@@TheCropCritic I guess so that was completely on proffesonial on his part
He done us very dirty! Didn’t even have the decency to give us a notice.
I'm sorry man. Its just the way some people are i guess@@TheCropCritic
Thank God you didn’t paint the back axle nothing bugs me more than when people repaint a John Deere tractor and they paint the axles
Drives me crazy as well. I wanted it to look as close to factory as possible.
Did y'all ever find Tommy lol
He quit after he got his bonus.
50,000 dollars
150,000$ USDA
Y’all might think I’m crazy but you cant buy that much horsepower today for under 100k. So I’d say 100k easy.
Sound like Tommy got mad about the Mexican.
No he started getting lazy and missing a bunch of work. He had it all planned out.
Helo from israel🎉
i would be very pissed if an employee quit on me without being man enuf to at least say good by where i come from its called chicken shit
Absolutely agree!!
Give me $4000 bonus hell I would live on ur farm and wait for the boss to show up
A million dollar operation, and ain’t even got a $5 tap and die set. 🤦🏻♂️🤠
I had one just didn’t feel like fooling with it. Opted for the easy fix.
@@TheCropCritic I figured you did..
$65000 dollars
$82,000
$70,000
That’s what I was thinking! I wouldn’t take it!!
$75000.00
Boss ur eyes are important please put some safety glasses on
I know I get in a hurry!!
$150.00
$37000
Around here now days i would say dealers would want $ 75-80 thousand..
Tommy is wrong for what he did to you.after all i have seen you do on here for him.. better off with out him
If you only knew how well he was taken care of money wise!!
