No matter what the issue is at work, your father is always willing to help, saying, "Okay, sounds good." I've never met him, but he seems like a lovely man. It's really amazing to see how you two operate together. He's undoubtedly one of the reasons why this is the largest farming TH-cam channel.
Zack love seeing your father on your videos and you can tell him that I definitely respect what he does with the farm and with you and with Zach and the kids grandkids. I never heard him complain about anything. He just plugs along like most of us that have been life have life and grandchildren and he knows it needs to be done and he just does it. He’s an awesome man and for that matter, you’re a pretty good man yourself. I love to watch your channel. I love the fact that your children and your wife are involved with what you do. Put a T fitting on the intake of the fan the blows the grain into the bins. Add an additional output on the bin selector. Use the fan as a vacuum to pick up all of the debris around the dryer, you can vacuum all of the bees wings up, pipe it out to a cyclone collector and 55 gallon drum.
Personally I swear by Honda. My old ATC 185s fires up, first pull, whether it’s 99 or -12.. while not as capable as a ranger or sportsman, it gets the job done and that’s what matters
Why not run air line/conduit to different areas of the dryer, then just plug in compresser in one place and just carry wand and short hose? You can get portable or just a cheap compresser and you also have another place for truck tires
@@robcreel6681even m12 impacts have a "dont break stuff" option that recognizes something like 30ft pounds in forward. Something younger me woulda loved, and the reason i dont mind handing mine off.
Have you looked into a vacuum attachment for the bobcat or a small vac trailer? Doing refinery work, we used things like that for catalyst change out/ clean up, not much different than what you're doing, and basically the same actions but no final pick up and you just dump on the field. Be helpful as hell for any spills between the bins
Muskoka Ontario Canada here, we are under a state of emergency after getting pounded with upwards of 5 feet of snow this weekend. I'd probably put cleaning A Grain Dryer on my bucket list, after the weekend I had 😂😂😂 plastic drive gear on my track snow blower blew apart on me as well 😂😂
I grew up working on a farm like this, swapping out dual tractor tires, disks and such. Dangerous work and lots of bumping your head and smashing your fingers if you aren't careful. Running the water furrows in the rain was fun though, as a kid.
You should get an air line ran up the dryer with plug ins on each level to do the cleaning, then all you need to carry up is an air line to clean with.
Glad to see you graduated to big boy status and got some Milwaukee Tools. Best tools in the industry. Been watching you since 2017 man I love your content. Keep it between the rows!
I love your To Do List thing. I live by my lists, did so all working life, still do it now I’m retired. People who don’t have a list, aren’t organised properly.
Even if the ease of cleaning alone is the only advantage of the new dryer... It was 1000000% worth it. (Yes I know it also has many new/better features than the old one.)
I worked as a mechanic for a dealer that sold both Honda and Polaris, It was a good thing for the Polaris cause I wouldn't have had any work if we only sold Honda.
Polaris sells 3 to 1 to those Hondas. And they're rode hard. If your driving out to fill the bird feeder get a Honda, the Japanese really appreciates you.
That sir is an excellent upgrade for a dryer. No more crawling around like a rodent to clean the interior. It may have been expensive... but as you get older, you will be thanking yourself for doing the spend.
Zack, how bout a battery powered leaf blower for the top of the drier, maybe inside the plenums too. But the bees wings on top might just blow off very good especially if they arent rained on and stuck on...
Hibi agree with you We are Polaris all the way. I like you am a list righter and don't like it if they get too messy! Lol ❤Great to see all three generation working the family farm!
Look into the "new" electrical compressed air duster. Torque test channel made a video about them a few days ago. The really good one compares to using a compressor, I was so impressed by the little things I ordered one right away.
Be nice to run a hard line airline up the side of the dryer, open on both ends to hook a compressor to the bottom then only have to carry 20 feet of curly hose
Grain vacumm w/ 2" conduit fastend to grain dryer w/ hose attachments at each level for dryer clean-out. No shoveling involved ! Good idea ? Vacumm ground clean-up below dryer. Good idea ?
You know I’ve always been curious why you couldn’t use your air system as a vacuum system for cleaning around the dryer. Just a thought 👍🏼 wouldn’t take much for plumbing
Zack on your Polaris Ranger DOuble check on your oil pressure regulator valve on the polaris.....Replace the valve/pin/ with two or three 5/16 ball bearings or balls near oil filter. Ask your dealer.....maybe the fix has been made on newer years.
Hear me out if you thinking of switching over to those red and black tools a 12.0 battery and the cordless blower would work wonders on the exterior dust on that dryer. Don’t need 120’ of hose and a compressor then. Also they have a hook so you can just attach it to wire your pocket or belt as you climb the dryer!
Owning a dryer that nice is on my bucket list, and I would be so thrilled to be cleaning out such a nice dryer that I would consider cleaning it on my bucket list. I am curious the advantages and disadvantages of a dryer like yours versus a tower dryer?
Maybe think about sending the broken steel tines from the ripper to a lab to test if the steel is what it is represented to be. I understand the rocky soil but that seems like a lot of breaks.
It's difficult to be critical of a Honda. They produce really amazing work equipment. I can always count on my 85 Big Red to start up.

Absolutely
I had the exact same thought, then I saw your comment.
I wish I had that relationship with my father, we don’t farm together anymore, he makes it impossible
What a great working family. Grandfather, Son and Grandson all working together. It's fantastic to see and I wish you guys the best.

Best quote ever by Zach, “I highly doubt there is anyone watching who has a different opinion”❤❤❤❤😂😂
It's hard to hate on a Honda. They make some dang fine work machines. My 85 Big Red never fails to fire up.
What about side by sides with actual transmissions and gears
You know Zach, I have never heard your Dad object to one of your comments. Very patient and understanding.

We finally started cotton harvest today on our farm in west Texas, we got 10 inches of rain in the last month and got 345 acres to pull.
I laughed out loud at the title. Your sense of humor never fails to deliver.
The best part is watching someone else get cold, dirty, and tired while working hard.... as I drink coffee warm and dry. Great channel, thank s for sharing!
Top of the dryer looks like a job for a battery powered leaf blower.
I was about to type that, then I saw your comment...then I heard him say it himself lqtms.

Only cleaning it once a year…why complicate it.
Wouldn’t be a bad idea to put an open ended connector at the bottom and put a few Ts in it and just hook up the compressor from the fuel trailer
I love my red power tools. They also made a rivet gun which is wonderful at the race track. And the 1 inch impact is great for the truck wheels
Milwaukee high torque M18 Impact is a legit game changer!!!
I think they also have that anti spin option to protect your wrists.
@@moonpiespotlight4759 yep, plus reverse slow down so you don't spin lug nuts or whatever super fast. Pretty well thought out tool.

The "red ones" always work better, harder, faster, no matter what it is you are doing.......
what you need for that dryer is a battery powered Milwaukee(or any other flavor) leaf blower, they do wonders when we clean out the combines
As someone who’s about to go make Harleys in 2 hours. Yeah Indian is a pretty good choice
Cleaning a grain dryer is on my bucket list.
Hey! Greetings from Denmark :) Love the fact you got mad at the yellow tools in harvest and now using the red ones ;) Keep it up!
"Can't have a messy list" ... Yep I feel that one.
Cleaning a grain drier is officially on my bucket list, let me know for next season.
I never cleaned a dryer, we fed the high moisture corn to the cattle (700 head)
Your Dad is awesome, love the gloves he always wears

Always breaks when you are using it! Why don’t it break before you need it??😉
❤
Open the clean out and turn on the fan then you don't have to clean anything. That's the way we do it
I grew up working on a farm like this, swapping out dual tractor tires, disks and such. Dangerous work and lots of bumping your head and smashing your fingers if you aren't careful. Running the water furrows in the rain was fun though, as a kid.
You should plumb some from the bottom to the top so you can hook an air hose onto at each level and you could leave your compressor on the ground
Definitely need some walkie talkies for those bins and dryer 😂
You need yourself a set of 3/4 inch impact sockets… get that reducer off it’ll break em right off
Your dad sure seems like an amazing person. You're lucky to have a dad like him.
completely shocked in the first 5 seconds because of the Audiotrack😳
immediately switched back to old scool original😁
You should get an air line ran up the dryer with plug ins on each level to do the cleaning, then all you need to carry up is an air line to clean with.
When it comes to dryers, just remember “ it’s a long way to the top, if you wanna rock ‘n’ roll”
I would be keen to see your lists. You have lot going on and I’m always impressed how you keep a good work life balance.
Holy shit I thought I was only one with multiple lists. I DO THE SAME THING. Personal, farm, etc.. 🤣🤣🤣
Gotta appreciate the thought process: ‘Yes, I’m tilling to let moisture out on purpose!’ Farming is all about those calculated trade-offs. 🌱
cleaning a grain dryer on my bucket list now🤣
Nice to see you came to the “red” side. You won’t be disappointed!
Gotta get the right drive sockets. Adapters cause play between the impact and fastener, that play then absorbs torque 8 making life harder.
when you were on top of the dryer, Onyx looked like he wasnt in a big hurry
Mine is normal, English. A battery-operated leaf blower would get the top of that pretty well. I always like to watch tilling videos.

Milwaukee makes a great 18v leaf blower that would be great for the dryer cleaning…
Even if the ease of cleaning alone is the only advantage of the new dryer... It was 1000000% worth it. (Yes I know it also has many new/better features than the old one.)

Yeah, I have seen the same thing about Toyota vehicles as well. Pretty much oil changes and brakes.
Yep. I have an 08 rancher with 40,000 miles. Oil, gas and brakes

Polaris sells 3 to 1 to those Hondas. And they're rode hard. If your driving out to fill the bird feeder get a Honda, the Japanese really appreciates you.

Get a battery powered Milwaukee blower for that dryer
Zack, you need an electric leaf blower with a nozzle tip to knock that material off the roof of that dryer…..
That sir is an excellent upgrade for a dryer.
No more crawling around like a rodent to clean the interior.

Arctic cat makes better snowmobiles
Is that why they're flirting with bankruptcy again after their first full season with the new 858 motor and chassis?
That fluffed dryer cleaned up REAL nice.
You should hard pipe an air line up the side of your grain drier and put a connection point at each level.
Get a cordless leaf blower to clean the top of your dryer.
Zack literally said that and yet you still feel the need to tell him what to do. 🤡
Don't forget the Master List of Lists, that one is vital! I'm right there with ya, though. If it ain't analog, it ain't a list.

Take that worthless adapter off the impact. You're losing all your power.
There are several TH-camrs who have tested that very principal. No loss of torque by using an adapter or extension.
