Epoxy resin is the glue that holds a stick together. It is a liquid that hardens into a plastic by a chemical reaction called curing. The resulting plastic is called epoxy and has many desirable properties such as a high strength to weight ratio, high adhesion, water resistance, heat resistance, and chemical resistance. There are many different epoxy resins all having different properties. Epoxy resins are chosen for specific applications based on their properties. If an epoxy resin with the characteristics to perform a task does not exist then an epoxy with those characteristics can be designed and created. Epoxy is widely used and has many applications including household, aerospace, marine vessels, electronics, and infrastructure.
I happen to have a Bobrovsky Pro Return foam core stick that was my backup. My main stick finally broke so I started using the Bob stick. First game with the stick I made a ton of lower blocker shots, which I usually have the most trouble with.
Interesting video. I'm short but I was playing with a 26" paddle, so I see how you can close up the gap under your blocker-side arm with a shorter paddle. Never really thought about playing with a short-paddle stick thinking more paddle equals more coverage.
Freakin love this Bob video! I'll have to try this on my old stick to see how I like the grip. When I get real low like Bob I feel like it moves my blocker up, and as stated in the video, it's awkward. I think doing this would be a little more agile.
If I’m a 5’10 guy currently with a 26 inch paddle, what would be a better paddle length to go to ? I’m realizing it’s way too long for me . I might just get your buddy to cut it down for me
Dude TH-cam is changing the algorithm all the time. I have no idea why other than they do what they do. Doing 3 videos a week rn but will likely change soon
2:07...Well that sure is an interesting way to trace a template, not lining it up at all with the shaft. Seriously what's the point of even doing a template if you're not going to align it to the stick and trace along it???
@@trav4oilers I'm a smaller goalie, 5 foot 7, and I have to have a high stance, but, with a 22.5 inch paddle, I would have to get in a deeper crouch, don't you think for a smaller goalie high blocker save would be harder or easier?
I know your have explained why he shaves his stick but I still don’t understand why he would do that because would you not like to have a full stick the whole way but other then that trav it was a great video like always can’t wait to see you in next one bro

You should use an epoxy resin after shaving to strengthen the area you cut. This will help prevent premature breakdown.
I was thinking the same thing. Especially after cutting the toe of the blade
Is that like Glue or?

just remember one thing - cutting your stick like Bobrovskiy doesn't make you play like Bobrovskiy.
Never said I was like Bob, I like him as a goalie but I saw some function and purpose behind this
@@trav4oilers It was said in general, not for you personally
The way he’s playing this season, as a Panthers fan, I dont want to play like him
@@pachho808what about now
Damnit, now you tell me! I already changed my name to Bob

STANLEY CUP CHAMP BOBBY 🐀
YES SIR!
Any chance you’d share the spec sheets or a template? Looking to try this myself. Thanks
DONt got it anymore
How much do you cut and at what angle? Have you tried different cuts?
Best to buy a 24. You're making the stick strength integrity weeker and will loose ridgity for shooting! Or at least patch the cuts with fiberglass?
Fibreglass adds extra weight to your stick. You would also need to sand it down smooth. Sanding down fibre glass down isn’t fun.
Integrity isn't a problem though. The problem is my low blocker saves
I might try this one day, what are your thoughts on a finger trigger grip, out of curiosity ?
Rather this. I feel I might bust a finger with the trigger grip if I'm being honest
Love finger trigger fot forcefull pullback and extra paddle leverage. Only broken finger from lack of padding on backside of glove. Crunch.
Very nice i do like how it gets that blocker lower :)

they cover this here, but make you pay here and there. They dont cover everything they say they do. You still pay
