Hey team! While I was making this video Valve gave the O.K. to the public to begin sharing more visuals from Deadlock so I was able to add a lot more footage (2nd half) then previously thought. Enjoy and as always thank you for your time.
Agreed, hard to believe Dota 2 rocking one map still. My buddy said everything else is so complicated in Dota it only needs the 1 and kinda made sense so I think you're right. Appreciate the notes here.
They won't cave, to your point I think that's part of why Concord failed. They have Dota and know it works and it's different enough from Smite. The format should stay.
overwatch was never a moba it was always a hero shooter. and deadlock is intentionally designed to be a moba so they’re not going to change the entire structure of their game
@@eebbaa5560 Overwatch was referred to as a moba/shooter hybrid. That was the original vision that the devs had. I think Blizzard's desperate attempts to make the esports scene work forced them to lean more into balancing the game as an fps.
deadlock is an infinitely deeper and more engaging game. marvel rivals is just an overwatch clone and i don’t even like overwatch. easy choice. venom is fun though
I have to mentally commit to a Deadlock session which I love and I can take Rivals way less seriously which is also fun, I'll play both, basically when Deadlock gets too sweaty and I need to turn off I can switch to Rivals
If Marvel Rival had a PVE should be easy for them they just need to make the moobs doombots, like small one and big one and they can have moveset of the heros because they can just say Doom made that using his power of the multiverse
If they want to make it PvE, give each heroes different builds and upgrades, and everything will be good. Make it like TF2’s MvM, don’t make it like Overwatch 2’s missions in season 6.
@@Rezlusiowa Was it an offer? Also, it's already dead again. It was clearily a cash grab. If they actually wanted the game to succeed they would turn it into a live service free to play.
Valve is actually pathetic. It used to be great 2 decades ago. CS2 is just a cash grab and then they finally release a new game after ages, but it's got outdated graphics. I hope both succeed, it's good for us, customers, but they're TOTALLY different games. One is a MOBA, the other is a hero shooter. Want a slow paced game with long matches that are more strategic? Go for Deadlock. Want a more chaotic fast paced and quick matches? Go for Marvel Rivals.
@@cadymus9657 The Deadlock graphics I believe is a design choice/theme, that said they have time to sharpen everything up over time, imo the gameplay/mechanics are more important than the graphics but totally agreed on both succeeding, they'll both be welcome additions to hero shooters
Biased review! What a waste of time! You're comparing an alpha version (and making it look bad) against a game that's about to be released in 3 months. The title is 'Should You Play This or That,' so just give the facts and let the audience decide instead of pushing your own preferences. It seems like you're favoring the rival too much just because Deadlock is harder for you. Okay, lol
My man, the title is literally "Should you play..." I stated exactly what was in each game, where the games are in development, my personal preferences for both styles and objectively, Rivals is an easier game to play/pickup. But as said in the video I'll be playing a ton of both. I personally like Deadlock more as a game. Goal of the video is to inform and share to help viewers decide on what to play or invest resources into. Not everyone will have the resources to play both. I'm not sure you watched the whole video and that's ok! Feedback is appreciated and needed.
Blud no offense love the take but you should be comparing to league smite predecessor but marvel will over take due to their HUGE character roster the designs are technically there but the abilities aren’t but good take
no offense taken man! I mainly wanted to compare cause they were both in a playtest about the same time and wanted to try to educate so people can make a decision on what to play if they were looking at hero shooters 100% agreed, Marvel will have a bigger roadmap of content because of all the heroes and lore already in existence To your point Deadlock is much closer to League/Smite/Dota than say Overwatch or Paladins Might be a video idea to compare MOBA's to see which one is the best fit for you the player

As stated in the video:
Marvel Rivals = Overwatch
Deadlock = DOTA or League
100%
"Marvel Rivals or Deadlock" why not both
@@homemaranha5649 I’m playing both for sure, this was more of a compare and contrast

considering the mechanics of moba i expect rivals will have more maps overall, overall good video think your mostly on point.

I hope deadlock actually stays a moba/shooter hybrid and doesn’t cave to the pressure to pick one like Overwatch did.

will be grinding deadlock and playing rivals when i’ve played too much deadlock haha
EXACTLY this
I like both!!!😊❤❤❤

Completely different games where both player bases would most likely enjoy the other

genres are different- so i feel playerbase gonna be not exactly a same
For sure, gonna end up playing both
If Marvel Rival had a PVE should be easy for them they just need to make the moobs doombots, like small one and big one and they can have moveset of the heros because they can just say Doom made that using his power of the multiverse
The option is there for them shouldn't be too hard to piece it together but I do think they'll focus primarily on multiplayer for a while.
If they want to make it PvE, give each heroes different builds and upgrades, and everything will be good. Make it like TF2’s MvM, don’t make it like Overwatch 2’s missions in season 6.
Gigantic actually has an insane barrier of entry. It relaunched as a already dead game for a whooping 50 dollar price tag, that's actually insane.
OK $50 is absurd...it's on sale for $10 right now wonder how much they actually sold at $50
I hate to break it to you but you got scammed, the rerelase capped at $20 and it's gone on sale a few times since.
50 dollars? I bought it for 12 right when it came out 2nd time
@@Rezlusiowa Was it an offer? Also, it's already dead again. It was clearily a cash grab. If they actually wanted the game to succeed they would turn it into a live service free to play.
They are almost completely different games. Genre wise their about as similar as Call of duty is to Doom.
Definitely. I'm digging both.
Netease vs valve. Easy pick.
Rivals is a good time for what it is
Will be taking Deadlock more seriously

Very similar and I'm ok with it

I 'd play both, but Marvel Rivals just looks so much better visually. The graphic of deadlock feels so dated
Graphically Rivals is way further ahead
you cant combine heeo shootera and mobas when ever so called hero shooter is already a moba.
