    Thank you for the thorough explanation. I just bought the Midea air conditioner 8000 btu with remote and couldn't find any demonstrations on You tube. Your video was a great help since my model almost has the same key panel. Thank you again.

    I am pleased with this air conditioner. It’s extremely quiet compared to the smaller unit we were using. Would buy again if we have no issues in the near future.

    Great job overall, both video and commentary. Love the use of screwdriver vs power drill (not sure if you used drill for side brackets). Very well done!

    Thanks for the video. Ours is the somewhat cheaper model that just has two knobs instead of the big layout panel. It's a bit loud so I'd recommend buying the slightly more expensive model. Regardless, this model works well and is cooling this room in the middle of a bay area heat wave nicely.

    • @HowToWithGEO
      @HowToWithGEO  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If it's a wooden window like mine, make sure the AC units track (and side wings) is past the outside edge of the sill. If you have vinyl window make sure the unit bottom rack (and side wings) are in the window track. You also need to make sure the unit tilts very slightly outward with water will drain from the unit toward the outside and now inside. hope this helps.

    I just bought the 5000 btu for 1 bedroom it is easy to install but not as good material on panels as say my hisence. I have a big bedroom. Even though I installed yesterday and it has not been sunny or hot day out yet. I was already to take it back. It didn't seem cold at first. But however I did end up freezing last night lol. I thought of spending bit more for bigger. But bigger don't mean better. I will wait for a hot day n see if cools OK. But I like the remote control n features.

    I just bought this today and installed it. After a few hours I realized it wasn’t big enough for the area I was trying to cool. After I took it out of the window, water poured out of it onto the floor. Any idea why? I followed your tutorial, which was great by the way.

      ACs create condensation because the fins are cooled to below the dew point. The water is from the humidity in the air. from your room; it's completely normal.
