You have to look at the situation from a GM's perspective. It keeps you from being emotionally tied to one or two players in this market of free agency.
@@christenragland8982 Getting Pregnon and Kamari back are equivalent to hitting home runs in the portal. The net gains are significantly outweighing the losses in production.
Good news with the DT from Kentucky coming on board. Give me more DT'S that can play the game and provide a rotation too keep them fresh throughout the game!!! It's the most important position on the field💯
We are trending in the right ✅️ direction. Coach Riley is going to come slinging next year. Expect to get back to 40 points per game and will finish in the top 4 in the Big 10 and make the college football playoffs. Fight on Trojans ✌️.
It's great to get some good news finally! Lincoln Riley isn't easy to like and his stubbornness and bad play calling has me unenthused I'm praying he gets his $h!+ Together I'm tired of all the losing ✌🏾
Having GIANT Nose Tackles allows your LB's to EAT. The TRUTH is though, you have to have 2 or be 2 deep, because as we saw this year the D fell off after a couple injuries and players quitting. Keep grinding and FIGHT ON!
I never saw it as doom and gloom as others did. Taking a look at who the team lost, most were not super productive. The media makes it sound like these guys were world beaters because some were 5 Star recruits. However, take a closer look and these guys were not major contributors. The skill position players? Well this is USC, where skill position players grow like palm trees. Anyway, here's my take: Zach hurts but was not better than Makai this year. Makai will get more looks and will produce and not drop balls like Zach did. Zach had l less than 50 catches and less than 500 yards receiving with only 1 touchdown. Same with Jakobi- he's better than Duce and will thrive barring an injury. One could argue that Zion might be a bigger loss than Zach simply because of depth. Zion leaving is a bit of a head scratcher as he was slated for a starting role next year. The loss of Joyner is a bit puzzling, but his production is not irreplaceable either. Mason Murphy? Please. That leaves players like Miller (expected) and a bunch of players that were not major producers: like Hughes, Hudson, (great catches but minor production) and Peevy. Personally, having Pregnon back is more important than any of these guys leaving. Pregnon, Noa, and Paige is a good foundation for next year, On defense, with Kamari staying, the back end of the D will be fine. Gentry coming back is huge as well. The DL with Silver, Asibi, Thompkins, Jones, Stewart, with Shelby and Fountain on the outside plus Lucas coming back is solid (better than this year's DL) I think Rilley's strategy of not going portal crazy and relying on guys that his staff recruited is a good strategy. These guys will step up and, hopefully, stay for 2+ years. I don't know, I am not so doom and gloom.
@fredtheveteran4623 absolutely we are SC. Becoming a joke nationally enough. Lesser programs all over the country are better then SC. The longer we are down the harder it is to get back up. Just ask Nebraska
Eman and Kamari returning is HUGE! If Silver has actually signed, that's huge to.
I'm with you let's sign these guys commitments don't mean anything anymore ✌️
Premium Positions of Need... ✌️✌️✌️✌️... Like I've been saying the whole time
My brother I can confim you have been saying this since day one.
I thought about you when Riley was speaking about budget and needs yesterday lol. Yall sounded the same

@@brianjenkins3109 Exactly, roster management and a wholistic approach to the team needs.

This is the type of player SC needs on the interior. I hope we sign more
