@rocfitness5747 20 mil divided by how many people with 85 scholarship players whom all want a piece. Give a million here and there and and that's how other players end up in portal.
@ I mean yes that’s why the roster is getting cut down . They are trying to figure out who staying . The only one I don’t think they should have let walk was Joyner so far . 20 mil is nothing but if it was only to the transfer portal than we would be ok .
Would rather have Jayden than air noland, watched him his whole highschool career. There’s a reason he didn’t have an offer from USC out of HS. He’s not super mobile and has a weak arm. He’s very accurate but that’s it. Jayden is a way better option
A player can enter the transfer portal and still play in a bowl game. That Penn St QB is manipulating the media for sympathy and not telling the full truth
Ummmm not even close. Longstreet is a freshman. Not ideal to expect him to play. And did you see Jayden play AT ALL those last three games. Some what average AT BEST!!!!! Maybe he gets better in the spring and summer. But based on his play, NOWAY would I bank on him being the starter and not go after a potential starter. Not to mention, 3qbs equal a QB room not 2
@@dantewilliams2984 yea I did watch him “average” almost 300 yards a game. Still have some mistakes to clean up but that is expected when you only have 3 games to prove yourself. night and day from Miller Moss and if we started the season with him we win a lot of those games miller lost us ( Michigan & Washington especially )
Call me a homer. Im a PSU fan, but if Beau goes to USC Im calling it right now he’s gonna be an issue for everyone in the B1G Lincoln Riley would turn him into an all American type QB. He has every tool, don’t look at the star rating cause he was severely under recruiter in high school. Guy has a live arm, wheels, and playmaking ability. Just go back and watch the Wisconsin game when he had to come in and run an offense that was made for a QB totally opposite to what he does well
Get a low cost high ceiling type of QB out of the the portal. Let Maiava rock out in 2025 with a full offseason of training with the ones. And then Longstreet/Lyons/Transfer duke it out in 2026/2027 IMO
Problem with getting Noland is that we have Maiava and will be getting Longstreet. So getting someone that inexperienced could do more harm than not. We do need one more QB, so we can be at 3 next year. With the NCAA not really enforcing anything things have really gotten out of hand and I see it getting worse until competent leadership is found.
Gabe, are we keeping our commit pickups close to the vest after the Chasen J debacle, or is Harvey our only commit? Several schools are knocking em down!
Thanks, Gabe! I think we have to get a QB but not a high priced one. If LR and Huard really work with Maiava, teach him that he doesn’t need to take chances (like he had to learn to at UNLV) and that he could just do what we need him to do to win games. We have MUCH BIGGER problems than QB, like our secondary, especially if Ramsey leaves. If we have guys coming up who are more CEREBRAL (not like Cobb or Shaw who seemed to GUESS which way to go), our coaches can work with them and make us even better than we were last year. I still have a ton of hope and believe in our coaches and I will always FIGHT ON! ✌️✌️✌️
Scary reality: It’s very unlikely we come anywhere close to replacing the offensive talent we’ll lose to the draft/portal, which means the offense will likely be even worse next year. Wild how much things can change in 2 years
Very true, but we’re likely going to have to roll the dice on a highly ranked backup with minimal college experience. We’ll have to pay big $ too, which eats into the budget for all the other glaring weaknesses we have
Why is USC even trying, we will go 6-6 again. This program is really bad and will be for some time. Need a new coach. Don’t come to USC. A back up from penn state…seriously…we are not even Iowa level.
Lincoln Riley is not the problem. First of all... LR has in 4yrs played in 3 different conferences B12/Pac-12/B10. Each one is significantly different from the other. While at Oklahoma, his team was able to beat everyone because of stellar offenses, it didn't matter how many Points the opponent puts up because you were not going to win in the shootout (He also had years as an offensive coordinator/ head coach to get the recruits that he wants, He didn't have that benefit coming into his first year. Which is why he had so many players come in via portal because he knew he was going into a giant shit show of a team and you could argue that this next season in 2025 is going to be his first team without many carryovers from the Clay Hilton era). He then comes to the Pac-12 and gets the benefit of having Notre Dame in the Coliseum and misses out from having to play Oregon and Washington. So his first year at USC was a fluke year that team going 11-3 was hyperinflated due to the lack of stellar opponents. Which is why we lost back to back to Utah. The next year we have to face Oregon, Washington and Notre Dame in Indiana. You could argue that the Utah Game was a fluke because of how Utah rallied in the final minute, you can argue that the UCLA loss was against a defeated USC team that had given up on the season. But either way, our defense was significantly worse than what it was in that 11-3 season. Fast forward to this season. We defeated LSU on the road. We then go to Michigan, and regardless of how you feel about Michigan, it is still a premier program with premier talent surrounding it and we lost by three (spoiler alert losing close games on the road is kind of our motto), No one on our team has any experience in the Big ten, as a USC Trojan. So to say that going to Maryland, Minnesota was going to be a walk-in the park is a fallacy. You can also say that the offensive turnovers from Miller Moss was a giant reason why we lost those games which are not wrong, but you look statistically at our defense and it is one of the best defenses that USC has produced in a very long time. It's just our offense for whatever reason wasn't up to the task. And again, that could be because of issues we were having with the offensive line protecting Miller Moss and Miller Moss getting hit 12 times a game and throwing one to three interceptions a game. But when you look statistically at this team they are not allowing opponents to score in the 35 plus range like they did in that 11-3/8-5 season. And aside from the Notre Dame game which had two pick sixes at the very end of the game, we were in every single game, there was no blowouts. There was no game that we couldn't have won. We just ran out of steam in the fourth quarter within the final minutes of all our losses. This USC team could have realistically been 10-2 possibly even 11-1 and If we did win the Penn State game we would have been playing Oregon in the Big ten championship game vice Penn State. So no Lincoln Riley is not the problem. The problem was we did not have the depth chart + we put our faith into a quarterback who was lights out in a bowl game in the 2023 season and we thought that we would see that level of talent this season which we never saw. Even against the Utah State game, I don't think we saw anything close to the Miller Moss versus the Louisville bowl game. And in all honesty, if you just trust the process and allow Lincoln Riley to do what he is doing. I can almost guarantee. Barring a ridiculous schedule. You will see USC be a Big 10 contender and a playoff contender next season and we will be back to the early 2000s where we are a national contender in 2 years you just have to be patient. No team can be flipped from garbage to Gold overnight and if you try to counter argue that Indiana is proof of concept, I will tell you to wait until Notre Dame opens a giant can of whoop ass against them. This Indiana team is a 100% mirror of the 11- 3 USC team hyperinflated based around a significantly favorable schedule Look at the premier teams of the college football hierarchy, Georgia, Alabama, Michigan, Ohio State, and Clemson. How long did their head coach take before these teams were even remotely capable of being contenders consistently for the national championship? Nick Saban one of the greatest coaches of all time took 2-3 years. Jim harbaugh who I would argue is one of the very best coaches took around 6 years to get Michigan to be a dominant threat, hell look at Urban Meyer with Ohio State. Aside from the 2014 season, Urban Meyer never was able to get Ohio State out of the first round. So I asked you this if you were to fire Lincoln Riley right now who is on the market that is a better Coach who would be willing to accept his position. Because you are not going to get Nick Saban you are not going to get an urban Meyer you are not going to get a Pete Carrol to come out of retirement and Coach College. So who is out there that has a better pedigree? A better name recognition who can turn this program around in one year?
Do you think Air Noland fits at USC?
I could see it!
Would love for the money to go elsewhere , we have two talented quarterbacks. We need upgrades on both lines and backers
He looked good in their spring game* from what I saw
fuck no
With a name like Air Noland, he sounds like a Nike Oregon Duck.
7 figures for a CB😂. Our NIL ain't no MF way doing that we got way too many needs all over the Defense. Fight On ✌🏽.
Supposedly we have 20 mil

I don’t see a QB coming to SC to be a back up.
Beau is a beast would be crazy in Riley’s system
I honestly am so pessimistic on 2025 season. Hopefully coming changes
Gabe, absolutely love your videos. Super hilarious and extremely informative. Keep it coming. Fight on.

Should still go after Mateer if we can, dude’s literally Baker Mayfield 2.0
A player can enter the transfer portal and still play in a bowl game. That Penn St QB is manipulating the media for sympathy and not telling the full truth
With Allar unexpectedly coming back, he was not going to start in 2025. And opportunity wasn't going to wait.
The graphics of Downtown Los Angeles are just beautiful.
I agree. Can Blade please let me know what your previous and current outro music is/was?

@@jefferyjackson4505 ,💯 Can we focus on Defense especially that front 7. ✌🏽
Thank you. Idk what some of our fan base obsession is with getting another QB

Line of scrimmage! O-line & D- line. Focus more on controlling the line. Build from inside- out. Enough talk about skilled position players. 🏈

Air Nolan’s doesn’t make sense with Longstreet on our roster

what happened to Quinn Ewers ?
Air Noland is elite, why on earth would he come here to SC?

Air Nolan is the same age of your new guy though
Don’t want a left handed qb lol
Line of scrimmage ?
Noland would be a good pick-up he lost out in the numbers game at Ohio State
We don't have portal dad
I'bm beginning to think some of you guys are getting paid by these NIL HUSTLERS
Does anyone else find it shocking that these guys enter now instead of playing for a natty? Unfortunate tbh
Clay Helton needs to put us out of our misery and beat usc in the coliseum next season!
USC is in deep financial trouble! Lots of cuts across the board. Doesn’t seem SC has the same luster. Hoping they get it back!
Scary reality: It’s very unlikely we come anywhere close to replacing the offensive talent we’ll lose to the draft/portal, which means the offense will likely be even worse next year. Wild how much things can change in 2 years

We need a strength and conditioning up grade, offensive line coach or play upgrade ,and Lincoln Riley to beat the teams he is supposed to beat.
