We threw Miller away in a C/S manner- I say give Maiava the season off and time to train up, then make a decision. The picks are because of LRs pass happy calls instead of a true ground game !! We got some potential smashers in big RBs Jackson and Petersen (both 6 ft, 220 and 230 !!) Plus Lemon and lane as WRs and two big TEs ! We need accuracy from Maiava and a big D and O line plus smaller speedy tough additional RBs like Woody Marks or Joyner ( and we'll get one in the spring portal)

Jayden needs to become a steadier QB.....too many bad throws

Miava isn't QB1. I like the QB from South Dakota State Mark Gronoski to fill in for '25 giving Longstreet necessary time to develop in the College level. Great Podcast 👍💯

Maiava is a toolsy QB prospect. He got to start a third of the season; very valuable development was done w/ him this yr. I understand the USC urge to build a couple B1G contender teams around him

You’re the first guy that I saw they made a lot of sense and still supports Maiava all these are the lames out here turning it back on him especially the fans and the podcasters but when you look at people actual have a sports talk shows like Colin Coherd they support him. I truly hate most SC fans they are so unrealistic

I like that Jayden Maiava gave our receivers a chance this season although had questionable decision making but can be corrected with a full offseason because he still is a young QB. Next season, I believe we will be much better on offense and that we can be a dangerous team with a better defense led by Anthony Lucas, Jah Jarrett, Keeshawn Silver, and Kamari Ramsey. This season he reminded me of Anthony Richardson's (22' season, what do people think?

I just worry hes not mentally ready to carry a team. Arm talent yes but not there yet. Game manager is fine but we need a qb that can carry a team to be elite

I think that Maiava did well but does have some areas where he can improve on: - He can't stare down receivers and has to learn to look the defense off. - He needs to learn to use everyone and all parts of the field. The TEs were not thrown to enough in this game. When they were thrown to, the throws were off. -He needs to do a better job on the RPOs and keep the ball more often. - He needs to bulk up and become a more robust QB. Riley's offense is designed to take advantage of every part of the field and for a QB to use his athleticism and mobility. I think that is why Moss's lack of mobility kept him from being as successful as he could have been,. Every QB that Riley has coached and had success with has been mobile and athletic (Hurts, Caleb, and Murray being hyper-athletic while Baker being above average athletic). I think that Jayden is athletic enough to be successful

Jayden Maiava is 11-5 as a starter. Notable wins over Texas A&M, Vanderbilt, Air Force, Nebraska and UCLA. 11-5 in the NFL makes you a Pro-Bowler and multimillionaire franchise QB. Dude is a Sophomore and most elite QB's dont peak until their Sr year like Bo Nix, Dylan Gabriel, Joe Burrow.

Go back to Maiava’s last two games last season and he throw 5 interceptions against Boise State and Kansas. This year 6 interceptions with two terrible throws against N.D. Will be a backup in 2025. LR will bring in another QB for one season and then Longstreet takes over. As far as arm strength and size look at Kyler Murray or Drew Brees….Fight On!

I am very confident in 14. As fans we need to slow down and let players develop. We talk about development of all positions except QB. We accept our QBs to come in with no hick ups. The hicks are the growth. We need to be patient.

To many mistakes 3 interceptions in first half. 2 pick 6ers against Notre Dame. I just don't know if going with Longstreet wouldn't be a better idea

Maiava needs to be willing to run more he didn't take off not 1 time vs A&M.. if u look when he was at unlv he ran more idk if coach told him stay Ina pocket but I feel he plays better when he's running plus it will help open up more with the mobility and frame he has to start taking off using his legs

he's got to better from the neck up ,some of those throwing decision were straight up crazy , and run the ball more on the rpo otherwise he's no different than moss.

We need to run the ball better and consistently. We ran 31 times for 105 yards. We need a center, right guard and tackle

Couldn’t have said it better. With the defense SC is finally gonna present on the field, all JM needs to do is be a game manager. Get the ball to his play makers (Lane $ 🍋), hand it to BJack, and not turn it over or make costly mistakes. He’ll get there.

USC performed as expected and reliance on the running game will preserve our defense as well wear out the opposing teams defense. No offense, but Maiava isn't better than Miller Moss, but he is bigger and more willing to run. Truth be told Jake Jensen could do what Maiava can! I am hoping thoigh that Maiava will improve as I don't see QBs in the Big 10 that are better than Maiava other than at Oregon and Ohio State) Fight on!

It should be a TRUE competition for the QB1 spot. Yes, we won the game... but... Maiava had 3 picks and several questionable throws. He also missed seeing a couple of guys that were wide open. So, I'll have to trust Coach LR as a quarterback guru to have the QB competition in the spring, and then name whoever is the best as QB1.

Jayden is not the guy. There is a reason he was at a UNLV. Move on asap

As far as MAIAVA he just looked flat footed but iknow he will train with his personal coach throughout the off-season hopefully they watch film and he adjust nd tighten screws up he has a long way for next season so he should be ok but I do think we should have a competition for qb1 it suppose to be competitive for every position at this point we want the best players on field no matter if it's freshman's if their out playing the older guys play em

We kept our production WRs it just felt different from Zach being gone trying to force him the ball every time he was out there I like this duo we have, and I like how Riley didn't rotate Lemon nd Lane out the game they stayed in and found that rhythm what we been missing and no drop balls from them we are good at WRS position just maybe need 1 or 2 for depth we don't need to go look for a grade A elite receiver I'll say a mid b level who just has good hands but other than that we good

LRs play calls and clock management was awful in the first half. The WRs and DEFENSE. Won this game for us

Go out and beat another SEC team and give us something to look forward to for next year. Then learn how to win close games and execute when it counts and show you are more like a 10 win program than a 6 win team.Because thats what they should be..The talent is still there. you just gotta go out xnd and do it..And empty the bag on offense! What have you got to lose? Nothing!! Hope we see it...

Winning this game makes it much easier to look at this season in a glass half full kind of way, as we’ll have started the season 3-1 & finished 3-1 with a number of 1 possession heart breakers in between, so a strong finish can ride momentum into next season. Fight on! ✌🏻

If these players have entered the portal and shown their discontent and disloyal . Are you suggesting that these guys can change their mind and stick with the team ? I would refuse to take them back
