Love the pops of red, stars ,to the left & right. And the Eyewear. It's the little things 😊
Missed you .. a long 5 days without you 😢❤
Thanks for the tour of the lovely museum! I felt like i was right there.
I love your fabrics for the make a wish quilt!
I ❤ shark 🦈 week!!! Can't wait to visit the museum 😊 I'm in southeast Virginia.
Your blue gray red quilt is really beautiful
We toured the museum over the holiday. The quilts were wonderful. Wasn’t aware of the basement area. The ladies were so friendly. Also loved the sewing machine exhibit.
Thanks for the VQM tour. Hope I can get down there to see it sometime soon.
Your make a wish quilt with grey background is gorgeous. Look forward to seeing it quilted.
Thanks for the tip to not rotate when doing wave stitch. I just finished a pillow and I wondered why it didn’t look quite right. Now I know, I rotated!
The blues on the. Make a Wish quilt just pop off the gray background. So pretty.
I love the balance of color and block setting in the Make a Wish quilt! Thank you for sharing the tour of the quilt museum also.
Loved seeing the museum through your eyes. I'm taking a trip to visit my niece in Staunton later this summer and am definitely planning on visiting the museum while I'm there.😊
Have fun!
I absolutely adore the gray background that you used in your Make a Wish patriotic quilt. It’s nice to see colors other than white or black. You always show great examples of optional background choices. Thanks for the museum tour❗️🇺🇸💕
thank you!
After learning about the wave stitch from your videos, I bought a new 9 mm Bernina last July. I’ve been using that stitch in various sizes for quilting my wall hangings and pillow covers. I like to mark my lines with a hera marker when the fabric’s color allows me to see the indentation.
Wonderful!
My Bernina has a wave stitch and I love it.
Spooky wall hanging turned out great!
Loved the tour of the museum! Will be heading down to NC in the Fall so will definitely visit it either on the way down or on the way back home. Can't wait!
Thanks for sharing your visit to the Virginia Quilt Museum. What a cool building! Your Make-a-Wish is gorgeous!
Love the tree , we could call it the tree of hope🇨🇦
Thank You so much for th tour of the Virgibia Museum. I wanted to go so bad. My husband said we just can't make it this weekend. We have been there a few times.. AS, a mater of fact I was their when you and your helper were their. Also our lovely Wendy Sheppard was there . That was September 16,2023. I do hope my quilt gets pick as we all do that are entered. That's all for now your friend Lillian.
Thank you for sharing about the Virginia Quilt Museum. When I fly across the country to visit my brother in West Virginia, will make sure the museum is in the plans.
The museum looks so very inviting! I loved the old house, with its history and its beautiful woodwork; I think I love the mill, too -- can't wait to see it! In person.
Your blue plaid is perfect with the Liberty panel.
I love your nails! Love your videos, too!
It is great! You must go see it
Museum was very interesting. Beautiful setting.
Love the tour of the museum. Some day I will see it in person.
Thanks for the museum tour. I live in Oklahoma & I probably won't get to see it.
I hope you can some day visit!
Thank you for the tour of the Virginia Quilt Museum! ❤❤❤
I use my guide on my walking foot.
I love your background fabric color ! It really makes your blocks pop! Beautiful!
Hope to see the museum one day! From Canada it will probably be a bus tour. To see the archived quilts looked amazing 😮. Wishing them much success! 💗 The spooky quilt I was thinking would have been neat quilted on the 45° . Sharks, sharks 😂
Hi Pat thank you for sharing your experience at the Museum. Yes you were missed....🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thank you for the tour of the new location of the Virginia Quilt Museum! It was very interesting to see the climate controlled office area and how they stored the quilts.
Love, Love, Love how your Halloween wall hanging turned out. The wave stitch and binding are perfect! I need to work on finding my perfect bobbin tension so that I can use different color threads on top and bottom. I just finished hand sewing dark purple binding to a large quilt that had white backing. It looks so nice to hand sew the binding, but it takes many evenings to finish!
Looks like a great road trip
Thumbs 👍🏾 for Pat!
I love that blue with the gray!!
What a beautiful location for the museum. I need to see how far it is from Richmond. Next time I visit my sister we need to plan a road trip and visit
Your Moonbeams Charity quilt is beautiful. I would love to visits the Virginia Quilt Museum, it looks so inviting.
You've gotten so much done. Fun to see. Thanks

Great tour of the Virginia Quilt Museum. Thank you.
Thanks so much for the tour. Hopefully on our next trip north we can visit it! ❤
Please do! thank you for supporting the Quilt Museum!
The museum tour was awesome! Even hubby said that would be cool to see!
You must go!
Enjoy the tour of Virginia Quilt Museum. Is Gloria Comstock at this museum? Kay
Good morning Pat awesome quilt 😊
Those projects bag seem like they would also be a space-saver versus the blue bins. So if we have small storage spaces projects bags would work best.
they are a different size and hold much less than the blue bins. It's good to have multiple ways to store things
Thank you so much for the tour of the museum.
Good morning
The museum video was great. Wish I didn’t live so far away.
Hi Pat....thanks so much for the tour of the Virginia Quilt Museum....looks great and I can't wait to have a chance to visit. Also .. thanks for showing the "mini quilts" that are on display...one of them is mine!.... I have been participating in the Mini Quilt Challenges for the past several years and enjoy it so much. The challenge is really that and has made me come up with ideas that I would never have if I wasn't thinking of something to send to the museum. Am just finishing my little quilt for the next challenge due on July 19th...the theme is "Flowers" and I'm excited about the way mine is coming out. I usually don't get to see what everyone else has done as, sadly, they are never shown or included in the news letter and am always curious. Another wish would be to have my name and home place on the display.....they keep us anonymous. Nevertheless, it is a lot of fun and I am happy to have my idea/work displayed in the museum......Best....as always.......Laurel from Falls Church
So glad you showed the quilted long panel with the wave stitch. Do you use a walking foot? And what was the approximate distance between the column of stitches? I decided to create a larger “sample” sandwich to test out the threads and stitches for my quilting of my “Oh My Stars Quilt” - I used the larger sample as small table toppers for my bed side tables. Fun and more fun. 😁
You are welcome! You must use a walkning foot or you will have a hot mess
While I’m visiting family in VA this summer I plan on visiting the Quilt Museum! Is there any quilt shops anyone can recommend?
there is one just a few miles from the Museum. The museum will tell you all you need to know about local shops.
Where did you get the pink cart? I'm looking for one for my current projects. Thanks
it is at amzn.to/3Leu7Rk
My son was a huge Lego kid. I believe he passed his collection on to his son.
First machine I ever learned to sew on was my grandmother's treadle Singer sewing machine. Must have been about 10-11 years old. A few months later they decided I was ready for my mom's electric Singer sewing machine.
Have a question . Can I donate something to the museum that they can sell for a little profit ? Of course a hand made quilted project.
Please contact them directly to see what type of items they can take, thank you!
What stitch length and width did you use for the wave stitch on your Spooky wall hanging? It looks great!
thank you! You MUST get there! thank you for supporting the museum!
All the quilts that they had in storage do they get them out every once in awhile and hang them or why are they stored and not being shown I don't know too much about quilt museums...
Thanks
they do have a schedule of dealing with textiles.
@@PatSloan thank you I just joined a quilt Guild over here in Winchester I'm going to go with one of the members to visit the new setting
I wonder how long Legos have been around. I’m almost 75, so I doubt they’ve been around that long.
Wiki is your friend! they started lego in 1949 - 75 years ago.
@@PatSloan wow! Same year I was born!
Thank you for the tour of the museum it looks great and its fitting that it is in an old mill. I visited the old location and look forward to seeing this one
Glad you enjoyed it! You need to get to the new one, thank you for supporting the Quilt Museum!
