    You should make the sewers circular to give a more sewer look, and maybe add grates? Also sludge could make sure the player has to keep their speed up to stay off the ground, really pushing the SPOOEEGGD aspect

    Suggestion: I love the almost spider-man esque movement of slinging with the black hole, but I've noticed that often placing them directly in front of you is the best way to gain speed in straight sections, which seems too easy/simple. If instead you had to avoid physically touching the black hole, it might add a lot of depth and moment-to-moment decision making to the gameplay. Making your main tool also a hazard invites a lot of risk and raises the skill ceiling a lot, since you gain more speed depending on how close you get to the singularity, obviously.
    If you ever end up adding drone-like enemies, using the hole as a weapon could enhance this even further. The game becomes almost puzzle-like, in addition to being a speedrun game. The black hole being a weapon, a movement tool, & a hazard that you yourself have to avoid all at once sounds super interesting, at least to me.
    If you go through with this idea, it's worth noting that the projection displaying where you place a block hole should probably be further away, and in the top-third of the screen instead of directly in the center, allowing you to EFFECTIVELY go straight since each hole would pull you up and forward, like a grappling hook, with little risk of slamming directly into it every single time unless you screw up.

      I haven't mentioned it in the devlogs just yet, but slamming into a black hole actually does sap your speed away! You definitely have to balance speed with caution.

      Something that would be interesting is to have a Clustertruck inspired toggle system - that way players could fight up leaderboards depending on modifiers to make the gameplay loop different

    one thing you can do for an additional speed effect, a la the speed lines: if you increase the field of view slightly, proportional to speed, it'll exaggerate the feeling of going fast. this is what minecraft does when you drink a speed potion.
    it'd be wise to do some math to make sure the increase asymptotes well before 180 horizontal degrees, though, since at or near that fov you literally go blind.

    You should make it that the black hole deforms or damages the surrounding surfaces so that it has a more unique learning curve and the damage surfaces should become obstacles if they get in the players way. Love the game so far!

    I think doing something to hide the offsets between texture patterns where geometry meets would go a long way toward giving it that extra polished look. Awesome progress!

    I really liked the cityscape map, maybe you should do something a little more like that?
    with a random sort of texture indoor map it just makes it feel like every other unity movement game

      I'm planning on having the cityscape be a section of levels, so you definitely don't have to worry! The tighter levels make it a more guided experience, but I don't plan on making the game 100% claustrophobic haha

    You could put a white hole. They push away anything that gets close instead of pulling them.
    This way you can have sharp curves where the player needs to face plant into the white hole to be launched backwards.

    Suggestion: instead of using lines on the GUI, maybe you can add an effect outside the the player and animate them to go behind you (like wind).

    This is very cool. These changes definitely add to the aesthetic of the game and makes it feel more immersive and even dreamlike, especially with all the glowing and color interpolation and black holes haha

    this videos great! one idea that might help sell the sense of speed is to leave some smaller clutter lying around the levels modeled after stuff players interact with irl; sense of speed is improved if there's a quantification for how fast your going in the world, and having recognizable objects fly by in just a few frames really helps with that.

    - > In the future what if you added some sort of progression system (nothing crazy just better upgraded versions of the blackhole.) like the beginner/starter one could be called a stellar blackhole, next upgraded one could be the intermediate blackhole, the next upgrade would be of the supermassive blackhole, then the legendary quasar blackhole.
    -> You could have it where each upgrade can affect the environment more like props moving, maybe destructible things. and with each upgrade they could move you faster, have a greater gravity pull on them.
    -> You could also add a mechanic that would be of a charge mechanic. no clue what it would do, maybe make a bigger hole, maybe shot it farther out idk but i feel a charge mechanic would be nice
    -> Have levels that deal with orbits, i would not know how you would implement that into a speedrunning game but space, gravity, black holes. i feel orbits fit nicely with it.
    im also trying to think of things in real life that relate to space/blackholes that i think would be interesting to had into the game. (like for example going to close to the black hole you created would blue shift your screen as all the light going towards the blackhole faster and faster than the speed of light its doppler effect will be color shifted to blue) I feel adding small details such as that would make the game go a really long way
    I am very excited to see how it comes along ive been watching your devlogs for a bit not too long but i cant wait to see how you do this too infinity and beyond.

    Suggestion: add water/pipes as obstacles for the sewer system. They could add another layer to the level design by having some kind of unique physic property. For example. slowing you down when you run into them, or the waterflow adding momentum to you in a particular direction(like a slide/waterfall), or adding it to the floor and applying buoyancy(have it act as a trampoline for special maneuvers).

    To me, the hexagonal bricks give the level a claustrophobic, almost fleshy feeling and look.

    This gives me 90's retro vibes. Like those games with that VHS tape filter on it. Also more obsticals like having to dodge turrets, or smth like that would be cool.

    I have an idea that might incentivise players to try some more risky manouvers
    If a player bumps into an edge, or barely makes it past an edge the get a small speedboost and a positive sound effect happens.
    This would make players want to take corners even closer, and rewards them if they actually manage to do so

    Look it looks good but it still looks like squares but glowing, maybe you should add obstacles the have shapes or something..., i don't know, after all i am not a game dev but this prism looking really nice, i think you should go with this style, still looks really fun hope you the best❤❤😊

    I really like the changing of the glow but a really cool feature that could be added is the glow changing colors on sync with the music. I fully understand if it doesn’t make it into the full game though.

    I'm sure it'll be explained in the story but I'm very interested now with Why are we trying to go as fast as possible? Is it like a competition or are we running away from something?
    Also, adding details like railings or having separate wall and ceiling textures and putting like a stream of water on the ground in the sewer levels would really help with immersion.
    And ambient occlusion to make the corners pop

    Idea: You could add a story mode to make it more fun, and the way you make black holes is using a sort of gun that shoots out something, and it could be like a laser where it instantly shoots out material, and the story mode would revolve around you getting the gun and having to do something

    i saw one of your previous videos on a city map and thought a slide would be cool for a map like that (if its a map select type thing) because you could combo a wall jump onto a roof, slide off and boost up off the slide (kind of like an apex slide) and gain momentum and more maneuverability like that

    I like the update with looks, especially with the sci fi level. I think that there could be a floor texture in the sewer level just because that is what makes it look off for me. You could add one in the sci fi one too

    I think the game should have more of a risk. Where, you must feel the gravity of the black hole and catapult off of its gravitational field. Otherwise, the player gets sucked into the black hole and game over.

    I have an idea for a movement mechanic, a lunge. This is like a dash but can be affected by gravity, triggered by jumping off of a wall or floor. This could be used to b-hop on the ground or walls to gain some speed on the ground or walls so you can then change trajectory with a black hole.

    adding skins or variations to the black hole could be interesting, along with cooldowns on larger black holes but them having stronger launching potential, for example you could make some have particle effects like gamma rays or particle rings around them, it may just be my opinion but the black hole being the same at all times can seemingly get tiring. something similar to ultrakills gun progression could be a good idea for the larger black holes ect.

    you should make it so if you hold right click, the placement will snap to the nearest wall in that direction instead of being a set distance away
    Would allow for you to for example on that C shaped section, place a black hole on the wall while you go forward without having to wait for you to fall

    That tron ascectic reminds me of another game about speeding running through levels like yours. Called "Cyber Hook" just with a grappling hook instead.
    I like the glow effect based off your speed thing, that's actually really cool!

    hey man the game looks really good! I have a few idea for you if you are interested... for example maybe you can add some bouncy walls/floor? when you smash into the wall/floor you will bounce in the opposite direction, and for the obstacle maybe you can include some enemies...? so when you slam into said wall it will also create a super hero landing affect which can damage the enemy (or boss👀)

    you should add sound effects for when you place the blackhole and go past it. you could also add some sound effects for when you're wall running and have extremely high speed and you should for sure add achievements it makes the game way more fun imo. maybe also add freeplay and levels dedicated to get some achievements.

    It would be super cool to see a slide mechanic (sort of like in apex) so that players have a reason to touch the floor instead of just bouncing from wall to wall.
    Also maybe make it so you can't just place infinite blackholes? like for example in the level with the big jump 3:56 it's pretty much just placing multiple black holes, so maybe making it so you get a max of 2 that recharges once you touch the floor or a wall?

    you could add a tether that doesn't propel you but simply just attaches you to a wall so if for example there is a wall coming up to your right you can tether to it and whip around the corner although i acknowledge that it seems redundant

    Maybe there could be a feature where you press a button while a black hole is active, and it deactivates the blackhole, makes it a color other than black, and at any point you could press that same button to warp back to the blackhole. Creating some puzzle aspect.

    I really like how it looks but i think you should have an option where either someone can input custom textures (made somehow on steam workshop i dunno how it works) or have an option where people can turn these special features off because off issues like epilepsy.

    Hey, as a aspiring artist myself, i must say that (if it’s not a WIP) change the floor and ceiling of levels, and add props, and add certain walls you cannot wall run on, and if not…. Maybe a cool timed level that if you don’t complete in… 5 minutes (sense it’s a speedy game 5 is very lenient for nee players), another suggestion, have a level set go WITH the music, if you can, anyways, i hope your game comes along nicely and you don’t run into any problems

    Consider adding a way to increase the skill ceiling within the game naturally, perhaps giving more nuanced control beyond that of placement for the black hole

    I think you should make a game mode where it's just an open world with bulldings where you could practice and do parkour for fun. I think It would be a secund option for people if they dont like doing speed runs and just want to parkour a liltile .

    i know thats kinda hard af to do but i think what would make the game look a lot better is if either your floor and cealing had different textures than the floor or if you made the textures of wall and floor connect because rn they are a lil offset.

    Hey man! I've been watching the game since the bug video, fell in love with it. Loved karlson and grapple and that spring game anyway would there be any chance a demo could be released? It'd be amazing to get a feel and would allow the people dying to play (like myself) to provide feedback more than we can just watching a video of you playing it and showing the features you added! Just an idea otherwise amazing video can't wait to play this game!
