This is my dream car and one day I’ll get one😁
It's actually reccommended that you close the door with the button on the inside. You don't have to run away, you just have to pull your arm back. The door will stop of it hits your arm, but small objects right in the crack of the doors will get crunch, as once the door is latch, the locking mechanimisms will pull the door into lock with all their force. It's really not a big deal, and I've never had anyone, including children have a problem with the automatic doors.

I was a back passenger riding in a Model X once. I felt like an idiot not being able to figure out how to open the falcon doors (had to ask the driver to do it for me), so this video is definitely helpful :)

Chris great informative video. I have 2023 Model X that I got last March. You mentioned that you had some kind of noise coming from the falcon doors and you use felt tape to eliminate the noise. I have the same noise in my car took it to Tesla twice and noise is back. It would be great if you have a video in what you did to eliminate the noise.

I think the door sensors were removed from the new Model Xs, so they only automatically open about 10” now. The rumor is that the software will be updated to allow the doors to fully open (I heard this in the forums). I don’t think Elon ever tweeted/posted this, so who knows if the door fully opening will come to the 2023 and later models.

@@EverydayChrisdo you have the ultrasonic sensors? Just picked up a Sep 23 build and I’m reading that the lack of the USS is causing the limited front door opening.

How do you open the passenger door (not falcon), (not with phone, card is not present, but you have a keyfob) but want to touch the door.
The older version of the key was on you, you can press it open. This version you can't

Have you found rear mat for the Model X that has access to both under compartments? Do you know what the measurements of the top two trunk floor openings

Can the kids open the doors while driving ? Can it be lock prof ?
Maybe they will release an RWD version of Model X at 10k cheaper, like what they did to the Model Y. 69K would be an easier price to justify.

Chris, did you have any issues with your X? A lot of ppl saying X is always living in tesla service and a lot of problems with Xs such as suspension, falcon doors, driving, some other false errors, etc. what's your experience?
6k in and no issues. Found out my falcon door issue was just due to new seals. After it broke it I didn’t have any problems!
I really wish I could know where Chris got those forged carbon trim pieces. I keep anything standard carbon fiber as far away from me as possible (I find them as ugly as sin), one of the reasons I avoided getting a plaid. But forged carbon looks amazing. If you see this Chris, please help a brother out.

Ordered X Thursday, expecting Nov-Dec delivery. Sales guy said it will have HW4 and FSD development for HW4 is about six months behind vehicles with HW3 because it will take time to retrain the AI to understand the inputs from the new/improved cameras.

@EverydayChris I was torn on what color to order Thursday, went with the gray metallic. Debating changing to white. Easier to see at night, marginally more efficient wrt AC on hot sunny summer day, multilayer paint might be marginally more durable than other colors.
So what color would y'all choose? They're all the same price now.
