The whole not building a smoke house the very second you got done building a hunter and fishers is maddening to me! The food spoils in this game and in the beginning smoking is your only preservation tech. Your food production is good... but the spoiling is what's getting you
Auld lang syne is a Scottish song written by a Scottish poet called Rabbie burns thats a very common song to sing at new years (Hogmanay in Scotland) across the english speaking world despite the song being writing predominantly in the scots language. Auld lang syne means old long since in Scots.
Hi, what a great game! I think you have to smoke your food, because I think all your food just spoils. You havest to much I think. Hope you read this and look into it. Love the channel to btw! 😊
Scottish* Auld lang syne was written in Scotland by a Scottish poet called Rabbie burns and is written in the Scots language (auld lang syne means old long since). Literally nothing about the song is English.
@@LathaMate1 While I understand your need to differentiate Scots from England, us foreigners without intricate knowledge about your history tend to look at the British isles and think of them as a whole. Perhaps I should have used Britain or UK but then again, in my language, the word for UK, Britain, and England is the same. We also use the English version of the song almost all of the time since we don't know Scots.
@SimonMoreal Scotland is one of the oldest countries in the world. Yes we are a part of the UK but we are a constitute country within the UK. Our history is literally thousands of years older than the UK. Also, while the UK and England mean the same thing in your language they aren't the same thing. Calling the UK as a whole just England completely erases Scottish, Welsh, Irish and Cornish history and gives all credit to the English despite the fact we celts predate both England and the UK by many many hundreds of years. I didn't mean any offence in my original comment but as a Scot I'm culturally obliged to correct people when they give credit to the English what is rightfully Scottish. The English have already taken so much from us I won't let them take our history aswell.
@SimonMoreal Also just real quick, I might be completely wrong but going off your name there's a high chance you either live in Europe of at least speak a European language which means you almost definitely have a word for Scotland that is separate from the rest of the UK.
@@LathaMate1 It's the internet man, this isn't my real name. You can name yourself any thing you want. I'm an Asian who is educated in the English language. The number of time I have interacted with a western man irl can be counted on 1 hand. And yes, we simply call you Scotland. Though regarding the song, we generally consider that it comes from "that island country in Europe".
Its not that tanneries look ugly so much as they STINK!! YES, They stink something awful. That's why they reduced desirability that much And you placed the compost yard next to it xD Those workers just have no nose by birth. It's a feature xD
Interesting mechanics, it is like a mixture of Anno 1800, Tropico 6, Banished, Foundation... Taking like the best features out of each and implementing them into a very deep game. And I absolutely love that Nivarias, one of the only two people who know how to demonstrate and play video games without making mistakes that are so Naive my brain could melt watching them :D.
Some more questions: Do you need to build a road to the edge of the map to connect to the rest of the world? If you can trade, can you dictate what gets imported and what gets exported? Is there any kind of in-fighting?
Does the root cellar have a storage limit? If lots of food is spoiling do you need more root cellars? Does the map get larger in time? or that black area at the edges the limit?
Yes the root cellar has a storage limit. You will need more root cellars not just if the previous is full but also depending upon its location. The black area is just the edge of where he has explored. There are small, medium, and large maps which take a good amount of exploration to reach all the edges of the map.
Truly interesting game. Focuses a lot to real life and what needs to be done. I'm enjoying this series. Had this game on my wish list for a long time. Look forward to it coming out! Hope the change the deal about towers costing etc. It's annoying to build them, just to lose them because the cost is so high. Need to mine gold or something :D Don't even know if you can do that!
In the medieval times the real way to make BIG MONEY was the agricolture, i suggest you to invest MORE in the farmlands and built a proper agro-industry

Yeah he at one point has 8 months of food but all will spoil in 8 months .. so ZERO months food!

you need sokerys and and cellars to prevent spoilage and get through the winter. Fresh meat spoils very quickly
Smokehuose - > food will last longer, it will not rot so fast
I wish this game was out already, I'd like to play >
Can’t you play with early access on steam?
@@camski89 says coming soon, can't buy yet.

Hey there!
The reason tanneries are so reviled is because they stink to high heavens
And I'm sure that the Coposter/manure pile right across the road is giving that stank a certain je-ne-sais-quoi
