This is awesome!! 😂 I am so friggin happy for Bernth. I’ve followed his channel since the early days & it’s great to see him getting the recognition he deserves. Also….this was such a genius collab. Their styles work really well together!!
This is the most equitable mixture of bass and guitar that I've ever heard. Usually the bass player backs up the guitar, or if the band has a great bass player, the guitar player takes on a more complimentary role. This is 2 instruments, synergizing in perfect harmony. I'm in awe.
When virtuosos create a soulful, delicate ballad, it's like cruising into the sunset on a winding coastal road in your powerful V8 convertible on a warm summer evening. You could show everyone who's the fastest, but you'd rather sit back and create a moment of deep emotional satisfaction.
Smoking. I saw you with Jim S. In plaistow, NH many years ago of doing a clinic, and even back then your were an outlier. You've worked so hard! Respect Charles. RIP Jim!!!
Very impressed this turned out to be such a well composed melodic/symphonic song given both are tapping like this. No one is dominating the other. Well balanced. Very beautiful
Yeah. I studied classical guitar and I was thinking something like, "If Mozart and Bach played electric guitar and bass and composed something together it would sound like..." But I think we can thank Stanley Jordan for introducing guitarists and bassists to the potential of tapping. Stanley playing Mozart on a jazz guitar... just astounding.
From one musician to another, this is so incredibly beautiful guys. Absolute ear candy! I'm strongly considering learning bass b/c of Charles, and I want to thank you for your musical contributions. The world is a better place with you and your music in it. I'd say keep it up, but I know it's like breathing to you. You can't stop, and that makes me happy. I look forward to much more, but I think I'm gonna listen to this track a few more times first.
Now that was progressive! The unexpected chord and mode changes, and excellent use of dynamics was mighty fine! I got a bit of Mendowin & Grapelli, with Django Reinhardt and Mark Knopfler expressing a Hotel Californiaish theme!
You see a lot of bass virtuosos on TH-cam just going crazy non-stop, it's really impressive and it does leave you wondering how/if they could hang in an actual band setting. It was really cool to see Charles just hanging back hitting those whole notes for a while to let the guitar cut through; it definitely highlighted that he absolutely can hang in a band setting. Great tune!
Its so pretty. Also very interesting directions you take both take with the melody. And beautiful video composition with the lights and smoke. Top tier song and composition you two! Some of my favorite yet from both of u
Charles is a master at not just playing but producing art. His collaborations are always superb and leave me wanting more. I love Bernth's discipline in this piece.
Astounding demonstration of musical skill and talent. The instruments are merely a physical extension of the players: completely under the control of each musician. Beautiful rendition guys. Wells done.

Holy Hell! Such a pairing of great and unconventional talents. Bravo!
This is something exciting to drum along to. Thanks
@elestepariosiberiano please colab!
technically perfect, but unfortunately without heart and soul.
Introducing: Bernthoud
This is awesome!! 😂
I am so friggin happy for Bernth. I’ve followed his channel since the early days & it’s great to see him getting the recognition he deserves.
Also….this was such a genius collab. Their styles work really well together!!
That's my spotify playlist!!
Or just call it the Bern Hounds
It's amazing how well your playing styles work together!
Thanks!
Exactly. To the untrained ear one might think they are doing a battle-off but they are so perfectly in sync with each other it's truly amazing.
Two world class musicians displaying their wares. Off the chart skill.
Why I never thought of the bass as a polyphonic instrument, I'll never know. These two are the best at their craft.
This has got to be the best example of a guitar and bass in perfect melodic Harmony with one another. That was epic

This feels like a demo and I want the full game.
Amazing
Accidentally clicked on this video. Best accident of my life! 🔥
Haha welcome 😊
It was an accident when I first discovered Charles Berthoud from Bloodstream. But now I enjoy listening to his music alot. Amazing pair❤
@@CharlesBerthoud❤❤❤❤❤heavenly
I "accidentally" came across Charles via a Davie504 video 😛 Been enjoying his mind blowing bass ever since!
@@jerseymetalmike5111 You are not alone. Crazy to think what came from that Davie504 video.
schecter sales going up this year
true, all 20 of those 6-string bass guitars they have in stock will get sold
Schecter ❤
I definitely want one, not that I can afford one atm 😅
Has he announced that is his new six string officially?
@@corrupted_realm do you need to be able to play at their level in order to buy one?

Das beste an diesem Stück ist, das es atmet und einen nicht mit Geschwindigkeitsweltrekorden überfährt.
1:39 that little run is so clean.
Why can I only like this once ???? This is beautiful.
2 musical freaks of nature giving everyone a complex lol rocking guys
charles and Bernth linking up is one my favorite musical things that have happened. Their style always gela so much!
Just brilliant, both of you. Pure enchantment and a mastery that still has me grinning
0:56 Tocata and Fugue influence deep here ❤
D minor, of course... Loved that pedal point lick 😋
And Mike Oldfield too.
This Dude isn't playing the guitar.
He is channeling!
What an amazing bassist!guitar player not too shabby either. Very impressive.
Where's the LOVE button??!!! WOW. Just WOW!!! MORE PLEASE!!!!!
This is why I like so few videos LOL to make ones like this count
Didn't even need the pick with this one. Love tapping. Space between the notes. Love it❤
Next time you add a drummer, then a singer.
And this is how everyone will remember the genesis of the best band ever created.
BERNTH BERTHOUD album is needed ! \m/
Bert and Berth sounds amazing!
These are the moments that make my life better. Thank you

Amazing musicians !
It shouldn’t be only 2.22 min... 😢 it should be Infinity or more....🖤
Wow what a melody! amazing so in sync and overlapping in all the right places
Very impressed this turned out to be such a well composed melodic/symphonic song given both are tapping like this. No one is dominating the other. Well balanced. Very beautiful
I can’t get my head around how absolutely beautiful they sound together. Watching it again to see if it sinks in this time. 😂
Am I the Only one getting a MAJORLY classical feel to this?? This is AMAZING yet has a modern feel over an OLD style

Damn ... what a great piece of music !!
Now, that's just amazing! Looking forward to your Tour this winter!
Clear and beautiful!
A lot of skills and talent there. Good job to both of you.
Very nice! Really enjoyed how well you two artfully played together. Left me wanting more. Thank you!
This is a wonderful piece of music. Technique at the service of musicality, obvious chemistry, and the odd harmonic surprise. Just freaking awesome.
@harshvermac5’s 00:56 Toccata and Fugue is spot on, but there is also strong Tubular Bells II with this one. 👍
This is what happens when true talent forges together... Outstanding Pure Magic and YES this is what it looks and sounds like...
WELL DONE! i need more this duo!
Just amazing absolutely beautiful , brilliant skill and harmonisation
No matter what it is, watching people who have a passion for doing something always leaves me amazed. That was awesome!
The collab I never knew I needed. You two are masters of your craft and it was so amazing to hear your styles mesh in such a beautiful way.
Hope to hear more from both of you in the future
Love the different textures of sound. Well done!
I would say you “nailed it,” but in reality, you actually “tapped it.” Great jam!
man the harmonising so good
very well done and I enjoyed the composition. Both talented and very gifted players.
0:34 is awesome
Thanks for the inspiration and motivation. Looking forward to see you guys together in Germany next year.
Just a dash of Knopfler influence in there around 1:19. I dig it.
Perfection in every note... Very beautiful harmonies that touch the soul. Amazing collab!
two beasts playing together
These guys are going to be the Satriani or Vai of this generation. Looking forward to more.
You are both so talented - and mesh perfectly together. Congrats!
Lead bassist and lead guitarist is perfection

Damn! So good. Was already following both of you, but didn't know that this kind of collaboration could happen.
So calming and uplifting at the same time. This piece of Art could go on forever. I would not stop listening.
One of the most amazing things I've seen

I really wish you guys had a singer. This song is very suitable for singing.
Charles has honestly inspired me to pickup my bass more often. Thank you man not only for this piece but all your hardwork.
The harmonic overtones whether intentional or not are just insane when you guys are tapping in unison. Great job!
Genuinely hope to see you guys go on to make a band together. Generational talents, both of you.
A sensibilidade do Duca nesse solo é de arrepiar. E não é que você tem mesmo razão… é fretless na veia!
You together with Mary Bender as singer and as composer/producer Rick Beato ... that could be a dream team.

There's definitely a Renaissance going on in the bass and guitar world.

Now lets find an amazing drummer to join you two and make a band to rival Polyphia.
And a vocalist.

how about a collab with Larnell Lewis. Bring it on!
Luke Holland collab could be fire 🔥🔥
@@kalidesuPolyphia doesn't have a vocalist though
Ive really enjoyed listening to you two.
Well done I could listen to this for 8 hrs a day. Great music!
