they don't get the point of the story...these strawhats all have tragic pasts and have come together after luffy rescues them in some way and connects with them so they help him not only to fufill their own dreams and luffy's but to fix this world and make their mentors proud proving their worth and developing as people who used to be flawed thanks to tragedy but at their core were born good ..thats the core of one piece...its about inclusion...unlike naruto which felt like exclusion

Said everyone who follows this series. I was working fulltime + and still was able to get in 4 or 5 episodes a night. It's like you're not in the mood to watch it when you see the size of the arc. But after you watch a couple episodes to see if it's any good, you end up watching 40 episodes in a week. 😁
@@ShamblesMD I never understood being overwhelmed by the size of an anime personally, when I started watching One Piece it was at 400 or 500 episodes, it isn't like the show is going to disappear, you don't need to commit to it, just start watching it, even if you only watched one episode a week, if you enjoy it, you will have something to look forward to every week, for a long time, if you end up not liking it, you can just stop watching it.

Bruh no disrespect but why y’all acting like it’s a problem when they talk about the strength of one piece characters but when they talk about the strength of naruto characters, it’s not a problem
I remember 10 years ago when OP, Naruto and Bleach all had their wars happening around the same time. No lie, The Battle of Marineford was the only one that didn't disappoint me in some way. I had zero complaints about the pacing, story lines and buildup of White Beard, who imo is one of the greatest characters in anime.
@@ShamblesMD as opposed to the ninja war and the winter war of naruto and bleach respectively, the paramount war was the best war arc manga has had to date. it had a great set-up, great stakes, major revelations, awesome action, a massive amount of history, great moments, and moments that made you stand up and cheer and moments that made you hate life.
even now, years after the war ended, the series is still dealing with the after-effects of that single war.
My guy, sanji is not beating naruto, sasuke, madara, hashirama, guy, any otutsuki
@@maxacorn the winter war was underwhelming to me because I expected more from the captains, but really Aizen has hacks for days, where not even the combined teamwork of Shinji, Shunsui, Yamamoto and Urahara had a major effect. Although the Blood War was much better. Still, Marineford sets up the steaks and does something rare in showing how out of his league the main protagonist was and Eve the power gaps between the warlords. We thought is was going to be about Luffy beating them one by one in the beginning, but they were lucky to encounter Crocodile and Moria, who both got lazy over the years. Whereas warlords like Kuma, Jinbe, Doffy, Mihawk and Hancock are all a totally different class.

I did the same thing, came from Dragonball, Bleach, Naruto, I gave One Piece a pass because of some bad clips I had seen of it, probably due to seeing parts of fillers/4kids, finally decided to give it a proper go and I like it far more.

set up is vital...i feel shanks losing his arm and zoro's flashback keeps you engaged until mihawk shows up in episode 24...the rest of it is slow until then but it works well...i get it though...besides two great flashbacks until episode 24 one piece feels very generic overall in present time..you got that cool moment with the dog but besides that its a lot of nothing..usopp's flashback is sad but weird...and not long...so you just feel nothing for him..sanji's gets butchered in the anime..not knowing zeff ate his own leg is horrible for the drama...

Sanji didn't even need the suit to beat Lee and they ONLY gave Lee the eighth gate just so he could stand a slight chance against Sanji. Lee having the Eighth gate shouldn't have even been used in this match since Lee as they stated has never used it before and has never been shown in the anime or manga including Boruto.

Honestly, for the longest time, I was a big Naruto fan, and to me, at the time(when Bleach was still airing), Dragonball, Bleach and Naruto were "the big 3". I think I was put off One Piece because of the 4kids dub, and seeing some of it here and there, I thought it looked stupid, "and ninjas were cooler anyway".
I don't know when exactly I decided to give it a proper go, I think it was when the anime was at around 400 or 500 episodes, but I was hooked pretty quickly, and I would consider it hands down the best long running anime(100+ episodes), well, maybe Hunter X Hunter edges it out slightly, either way, I love it.

It pains me to see when people say they couldn't get in to One piece considering the masterpiece that it is, the reason for it though is because of how the entire show is structured. And that is by building the story up slowly but steady with each little conclusion being more satisfying then the other. So understandable that people won't have the patience with the first episodes, but a damn shame considering how beautifully everything ties up the longer you go in to the show.

story wise one piece way surpasses Naruto. Naruto has so many flaws it would take me way too long to count them all.
I feel like Naruto always felt like a fantasy. It felt like the main characters were always going to win. There was never any doubt. One Piece has built so much suspense that it’s unreal. Nobody thought Naruto would die during shippuden but there is a serious possibility that Luffy dies in his final confrontations with Akainu and Teach.

Okay I want to clear something up before I begin. I am not going after you because you said you didnt like one piece. It doesnt take nearly as long for it to get good as Jazz said(it was either 300 or 400 eps), most fans were hooked right around the Arlong Arc, which is in the thirties or forties I think. Also, in my personal opinion, Naruto was slower than OP in the beginning. I took nearly the entire "first part" for me to even get hooked and feel a good connection with the show, and then,Shippuden is what REALLY got me. The anime serves best as a companion to the manga anyways, but I digress. Good vid.
I’m a One Piece fan, how can you say naruto is good out of the box, I’ve tried getting into it like 10 times and I get bored because it’s like 60% filler. Where as one piece is good out of the gate. Yeah it has filler as well, but not nearly as much as naruto.
there's not even that much filler in the first set of arcs. it's like 4 at the very last canon arc of the East Blue saga and then does a tiny detour of a filler arc that actually has canon things. atleast unlike Naruto it isn't something that's shoved in for fillers sakes and forgotten the next arc.

One piece is very, very good. It took me time, but when I actually started watching it I realised story wise it’s way better than Naruto. Naruto just has better fights.
Watching them react to sanji’s power up made me realize how desensitized I was to one piece..... sometimes I forget
One Piece isn't for everyone, at least you gave it a try most of us OP fans understand. I mean there are series that many people like that I just can't get into and that's fine. At the end of the day we're all anime fans and proud of it.
