Nice tones! I am using the MX5 with my Martin 000-15 for worship too. Some very similar settings. I like the Medium Theater reverb setting for my base tone with Dyna Comp and Para EQ before it. Some other acoustic rigs include a delay, multi chorus, and ambiverb.
thanks Richard--any chance you can show us how exactly how to set up a rig to make the electric guitar sound acoustic--when i copy what you have my volume is so low that we can barely hear it...
thanks for the video, im stuck with an annoying problem , when i swap from the sim to an amp in the same scene i get a loud volume spike for a second, it goes very loud then back to normal volume, am i using the sim in the wrong location within the chain perhaps ?? 🙄
Great work on this vid. I'm an acoustic player too so it's nice to have ur opinions. What do you think about the iRs? Also can one use other iRs that's was for like a Stomp?
I tried some of the IRs, but I found that with a quality acoustic guitar you really just need the effects, and most PA systems do the rest of the work. But yes, you can store the same IR files in the IR folder on your Headrush that you had on your Stomp.
@@reedbrett5252 try turning up the volume to max on your Taylor, raise the input gain on the “in” menu, and the output gain on the “out” menu. Acoustics seem to be always much lower output than electrics, so these steps should help you hear your instrument.
No amp model, just effects. I usually would just use reverb and chorus before I had the MX5, going directly to the house, so this gives me a bit more flexibility.
Nah, this has kept working well for me in the rooms I play (and I do contract leading so I am in multiple rooms). I tried the preamp but it just didn't do much for me, and the IR didn't feel like it meshed with my guitar. Might be great for an electric emulating an acoustic though!
Honestly haven't had the pleasure of playing with a Silent, but from what I know there is an undersaddle piezo and a digital image of a mic'ed up full size guitar that you can blend. This one was made with a guitar with Taylor's ES-2, which is a piezo with a unique placement of the 3 piezo sensor for each pair of strings. So I'd say, if you are using the piezo, you can probably stick with what I've got here, but the SRT system may call for a bit more fine-tuning of the EQ and Reverb. I imagine it would sound absolutely gorgeous with the knob set to blend 2/3 SRT with 1/3 Piezo, with the reverb sized down a bit to perhaps a "room" setting instead of a "hall" setting, and the EQ set to a light scoop. Try it out and let me know what you find!
@@rodrody533 my favorite budget guitars I use with this are a Washburn comfort series and a Alvarez artist series. Those should be more affordable for you.
That tone is killer! Could definitely rock some 80s gigs with that! Great job!
Nice! Loved it. Love that Chorus sound.
Hey, thanks!
Great tone, thanks for let us see all the settings.
Love that preset! Thanks a lot for sharing it.
Love the song choice you went with! That song is just fantastic.

Amazing ❤.. Can you show the process from the beginning?

Great vid, love how it sounds. For whatever reason, i cant hear 90% of preset rigs with my acoustic nor this one when I got it all setup :/ Any ideas?
What sort of preamp and pickup do you have? I assume you’ve checked that the acoustic works with other amps and such?

I have the same problem, I use a LR Baggs M80
but the volume is very low and there is background noise.

Thanks for the video.Which amp model are you using? Hope the 2.6 update has more to offer for acoustic.

GREAT Sound! do you have a rig for download?
Yep, here :) drive.google.com/file/d/1_lC0vvMEPP7q_l2Qr-dp-w_DEIFbCUEK/view?usp=sharing
Have you made any updates or changes to this rig now that there is an acoustic preamp available? Also, have you tried using the Taylor 314 IR?

Does it take vocal effects for live acoustic performances?
No, for that you would need the Headrush Prime.
Great! Can you share it file ?
Can you recommend settings for a Yamaha Silent with the Mx5?

i dont have asubtle dot 8 on my preset under tape echo
Make it, by turning sync on and time to 3/16, and mix to about 25.
Are you using electric guitar or acoustic guitar?
I’m using a Taylor 514-CE
@@richbenavides 3,308.54 Euro in Turkey, its a lovely guitar, a bit expensive for me tho, I'm sad :D

@@richbenavides Thank you very much ill check them out right now. Cheers mate!
Really cool!! Can I please 🙏 download your preset?
what amp are you using
No amp at all, just using it for effects. Otherwise I’d probably just be going directly to a direct box and the PA.
The guitar sound in this video is directly from the Headrush into a presonus audio box.
