This improvisation is what I believe jazz is, a joyful search for the right mood, or chord. Or a play with expectations. In this we have three pianists, two bassplayers, two on drums, but only one on trumpet and only one singer. The singer is Johnny O´Neal, also a pianist, together with Brad Mehldau and Emmet Cohen. All in the crew behave well, I should say. And it is all a little childish playing, if you ask me, but the best playing on earth.
