Hello, i face the issue on the fuel trap. My car is parked inside the night and almost never in a rusty area. I was able to unlock it from inside the truck.
This issue is a major one because when i went to the gas station with empty fuel, i was unable to get fuel. As i was not far from my home i came back and call Lexus line.
Solution => to take my car in repair. I was able to unlock the trap from inside and used WD40 to lubricate it. So i was able to open again the fuel trap normally.
However i toke an appointment with my dealership who replaced all the mecanism. I don't understand this issue, never occurs in any of my car i have in the past.
The dealer confirms me that he has done this type of repair on another NX (problem known but no general recall done only if the problem occurs...)
My NX is a 450h+ so produced in Japan. The global quality check seems to be less good as in the past.
The error i did when i purchased is to take a new phase 1 NX. My previous Lexus was an IS Gen 2 Ph2, never had a single problem.
To remind => always wait refresh phase 2 of vehicules to have every common problems fixed.

Ppl typically say to not get the first year of a new generation. the gas door issue seems to continue for a few years already. Not sure why it will stop working, but my 2022 works fine without any wd40 or anything. But I do agree that first year could see more problems. Even the first few months built could have a higher chance of issues. Mine is considered an early build but it's been doing well overall.
Thanks for your feedback on your experience.

Lexus dealership told me right for $1000 or a little more they can refigure the trunk so you can fit a full-size spare tire in a 350 H has anyone heard of this?

Hello LFST. Rather than using the accessory port inside my NX I prefer to hook up an accessory cable to the battery and then run an air compressor to top up my tires from there. I do this to avoid blowing a fuse inside the car. My question is do I have to do it from the 12 foot battery or can I open the hood and do it as if I was jumping the battery?

I have never tried from the front, but I would assume it will work in the front as well.
