I feel sure you’re going to like it. It would be really hard for me to go back to that original prop now. So far so good on mine still. Thanks for watching and stay safe out there!
I run the Kipawa prop on my Minn Kota motors. Battery life is better than the stock props and so far, they do great in grass. Now I have not used them in matted grass, I try to avoid it if I can. Been using the Kipawa now about five years. It’s dug trenches in sand, mud and rocky bottoms and still don’t have and dings or cracks. Well worth the money.
@jaypruss3236 hey thanks for the info there. So far I’m pretty happy with it. Batteries are staying solid and short of some scratches from getting too shallow in a night tournament (my fault) it’s holding up well. Glad to hear a long term review like that though for sure! Thanks for the comment and stay safe out there
@jdean1851 hey thanks for watching. At the end of the tournament season I’m going to put out a follow you video as to how it has held up. So be looking for that if interested. It’s been great so far for sure! Thanks again for watching and thanks for the comment
A buddy of mine took a coupling nut, a short piece of all thread, and thread locker to make his TH marine nut work. He thread locked the all thread to the billet nut and coupling nut. By doing that he can still remove the prop by unthreading the billet nut with its custom extension
Man that is slick right there. I’m going to have to give that a shot. That’s my only “complaint” about that prop though it’s not really enough for me to complain about at that. I like that idea though! Thanks for the comment. Very much appreciated
Hey @callsignsleepy yea so far so good. It’s got quite a bit of use already this year and absolutely no regrets whatsoever thus far. Glad it helped out. Stay safe out there and thanks for check out the video
You definitely got my attention, my question is if im replacing this for my pontoon how much more better would it be? Or would this be any good for the pontoon?
Like I said in the testing it showed about 10% better for my boat. Now granted mine isn’t going to get blown around quite as much as a pontoon (strictly based on profile of the boat) but I would say absolutely go for it. I get absolutely no kick back from these props so if they were bad I would most definitely say so but I really do feel it’s worth the money. I’ll have another video coming out in a couple of months when I finish the tournament season to show the durability of it. Sneak peek though…..it’s help up just as good as the two blade standard prop. Hope that helps and stay safe out there
Interesting. Thanks for the insight there I hadn’t heard that one. My tired old trolling motor probably doesn’t have enough umpf to do that anymore but that’s good to know for others out there. Much appreciated and stay safe out there
🇺🇸👮♀️Retired and “build stuff”. I just got a 55 pound Minnkota off Facebook marketplace. It’s on a 15 foot canoe with a wires ran up to a speed control dial. I turn it with a 12 V actuator. Fun project for non-engineer. New subscriber.
Completely agree! Like I said in the video it’s nice to have that original as a spare but as far as I’m concerned, that’s all it will ever be…a spare. Thanks for watching
Ive been running them on both my boats for 7yrs. Durability is unmatched. Add lithiums and youll have to dial back trolling motor substantially vs. Standard prop
@bsaxonfishing2163 yea all good here thus far for me as well. Thanks for the comment, I really like seeing these long term reviews like that. Stay safe out there and thanks for checkin out the video
I agree completely. Got the original in the boat for a spare but I have no intention to go back to it any time soon. Thanks for watching and stay safe out there
@scottd8555 hey so when I made the video here I contacted Kipewa directly about that. Granted that has been about a year ago now but their response was that they offered no discount codes of any kind. Again that’s been around a year now but hopefully that helps. Still worth the money to me. That’s the only prop I run anymore. Since the video, it’s never come off. Thanks for watching and stay safe out there
Those look pretty cool. Never heard of them before. I did notice they say on their site though that they are not recommended for larger boats, more just for kayaks. I may still go for one just to see what they do. Thanks for the comment there
Just bought a Kipawa for my Terrova. I know exactly what you mean by the motor feeling loosey goosey. Thanks for the video!

@@problynotthebestgarage hey appearance is half the battle🤷🏻♂️😂
Thanks for sharing! Good video
great review man...i've been wanting to try one of these props out, but i've seen mixed reviews. I think i'll have to take the chance now!
Hey @callsignsleepy yea so far so good. It’s got quite a bit of use already this year and absolutely no regrets whatsoever thus far. Glad it helped out. Stay safe out there and thanks for check out the video
@@problynotthebestgarage that’s good to hear…cuz I ordered mine last night after watching the video. Lol
@callsignsleepy haha that’s great. Hope it works as good for you as mine!

@@problynotthebestgarage it’s very helpful.. good luck 👍
I have a 112 ft lb. Ultrex. Never have sheared a pin but it breaks the cottor pin seat inside the prop hub. I end needing to replace the entire prop.

@problynotthebestgarage It's happened twice.

That’s awesome and sounds like quite the cool project at that. Thanks for the sub as well I greatly appreciate that
been running Kipawa prop for years, it's totally worth replacing the stock prop out

Can’t beat Kiawa for durability, especially in rivers where the props hi.
No doubt! Still like it just as much as the day I put it on the boat for sure
APC props
