This was a better convo than I expected. Love Raven but never thought London tried hard enough. This talk proved that the machine failed him, though. For every place he went, I guess none of them gave London a chance to just tell his story. In this, he came across as a legit fan and student of the game, who wanted to improve his game everyday.
Paul London is one of the few "cruiserweights" or smaller, agile guys that actually gets it. Unfortunately, most wrestlers in that role and/or build tend to be marks (for lack of a better word) for "moves". It's cool seeing this when it appears that Paul was just starting his acting career which he continues in to this day.
Raven was most definitely a millionaire. If he wasn’t it’s because he was over-spending like crazy. Raven was one of the 4 wrestlers on WCW/NWO Revenge which of as a huge deal.
Wowsa, Had Raven pegged kind of wrong as I had no idea he was so self aware. Really would have pegged him as one of those high IQ guys with a dark archeatype that allowed him to charge up off of getting more out of less effort, being able to manipulate most folks and capable of a ton but falls into escapism or sabatage if ego is challenged type thing. Would not have guessed he had such a high emotional IQ other than figuring out an angle or or how to get what he needs. Very insightful interview. While I loved the Raven character it did get stale near the end of his run, he needed to transition back into either color commentary, being a manager or even an authority figure for that character to have some sort of arc. This is probably the only interview he did where I found him rather likeable in real life the entire interview and a lot of that is because he called out things about himself that used to make me roll eyes, zone out or skip watching the rest. Mind you basing that off old rf shoot interviews back when it was super interesting to me to get to see behined the curtain and that is sadly closer to 20 years then 10 years ago so 😂
15:33 that was an uncomfortable greeting. Seemed like an attempt at a power-play, too. Ig that the Raven character is just that, a character, but one can't help feeling Scott as a real person shares several nasty or asocial traits with his alter-ego. Like, just be cool and give Paul a hug man, that's what he came for. At least treat him niceys the way you didn't Kidman.
@@RG-lr4pk asking about a lack of reasonable social enthusiasm and affective reciprocation is 'scary' and weird? Hell World. Or I just forgot I'm dealing with internetcels.
Forgive me for kayfabing but I need to be weird about the lineage of Raven brainwashing Kidman who then went on to mentor London and acrimoniously splitting leading to this. losing my mind just thinking about. the implications
6:30 I like London and think he's smart to the business and indeed to life in many ways, but to be a truly informed former wrestler he needs to read his Roland Barthes and also stop being so kneejerk homophobic. Presumably he's grown up a lot since the years when this was filmed.
He had a good point. If you aren’t a wrestling fan it’s easy to look at it as homoerotic. After all, it *is* oiled* up half naked muscular guys struggling to pin one another.
@@HiGlowie fwiw I'm agreeing with your point, and I get what London said. I'm contending that Paul here was being kind of insensitive and intolerant for no reason, plus not appreciating the value of homoeroticism in the sport (he was talking about it dismissively).
every paul london interview is great
This was awesome. Two of my favorites ever and two of the most under-appreciated talents in the history of wrestling.
Wow. Raven’s 47 here, same age as me now. Must have been 2011-2012
When you go to interview Raven and Raven ends up interviewing you. Excellent conversation here. Tremendous!

London looks like a average guy. Talented, but never a star.
Incredible interview. Definitely didn't expect a lot of the subjects they touched on.
awesome fan of both of them would be cool to see a new video of them catching up
'm looking forward to a second part of the video!

kidman too
Both should’ve been millionaires.

Great chat.

13:20 LMAO
If only he was auditioning for Blues Clues lmao
Shot at Triple H lol 23:16
I’ll never forget when Saturn said that Raven essentially purchased his Mensa membership just for bragging rights lmao

This is a overanalyzation. Not everybody is a hugger, especially with people they don't know.
Reading your comments was a scary experience.

Raven mentioned having several personality disorders in interviews. Narcissistic is one of them. You probably just picked up on that.

London knows nothing about cinema/films. Lol
Kurt Cobain and Michael Patton of pro wrestling 😀
