I hate trying to tell people about this show and they just blow it off. I was skeptical about it, but good grief this is probably by far one of the best shows I have seen. SO SAY WE ALL!!!!!
+Dekerus my sister kept trying to get me into it and i kept saying "being trapped in empty space sounds so boring and depressing". But after hearing some of the soundtrack i immediately watched it and loved every episode!
Although the character development and acting were great, the reimagined BSG had the most unrealistic, contrived plots I've ever seen in my life. No consequences for mutiny, shooting and murdering people and prisoners. No consequences for holding the president at gunpoint. No explanation how a Cylon prisoner could escape her cell and make her way unmolested to the commander's quarters (Cain). And how is it Tory murders Callie on the flight deck and there is absolutely no one on duty? Knowing there are probably Cylons on the ship or in the fleet, they conveniently leave places unguarded when it suits the plot. It was awful and completely ruined this series for me. Adama & Apollo are supposedly loved by the warriors, but that is again completely unrealistic and embarrassingly poor BS that the writers contrived. Let's see, Adama allowed Apollo to mutiny twice, Starbuck once, and for Starbuck to hold a weapon on the president. No real consequences. The pilots would despise him for the double standard. And Apollo? He merely defended the man (Baltar) that most people believe sold out the entire human race and caused a near genocide, but Apollo quits being a fighter pilot to help defend him. Then, of course, we see the warriors all giving him tribute at his retirement. The writers of this show wrote the most horrible, melodramatic scenes in the history of television. Whenever they wanted something big to happen, they ignored the fact that the price of the action would be too severe, so they just let everyone off the hook. Oh, and when Helo sabotaged their chance to wipe out the entire Cylon race? Adama stopped the investigation because he didn't want to know how did it. Right. There is someone under his command he can't trust, someone who committed treason, someone whose actions could have ended the enemy's pursuit of them forever, but Adama cancels the investigation. Incredible. And, of course, the constant use of 20th & 21st Century colloquial Earth terms by people who had never had any contact with earth was another huge embarrassment. It was a juvenile approach designed to entice the non-science fiction audience, and it apparently worked by all the good reviews that I've read about this show. It's too bad viewers watch without processing what they are really seeing. A very promising reimagining was allowed to crash and burn because of the contrived, melodramatic writing.
I don't think even think it's worth even mentioning Game of Thrones .. let alone compare it to BSG.. I mean the entire premise is winter is coming, winter hasn't turned up yet but it's still coming, we know winter has yet again not shown up but we assure you it's on it's way.... winter's coming and it will be worse than ever .... look at that winter is here and it lasted three days....
Game of thrones did however have it's good soundtrack moments, but very very can compare to the sheer master class which is the Battlestar Galactica soundtrack.HBO's Band of Brothers is another worthy soundtrack.
BSG is a must watch before you die show. It's not only for Sci-Fi nerds out there, for me, there is a message that is the most important thing in this show, which is; -- life is so precious and we have so little time left to live, we're so fragile as humans that we can die at anytime, anywhere. So we must not waste time, we must make the best out of it, we must treat time as the greatest and most important commodity in the universe.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news (and this came as a shock to me too), but the BSG soundtrack is a nearly one to one ripoff of Philip Glass’s soundtrack for the movie Mishima. Check it out.
Christ the most epic moment in this series was when Kara "remembered" the music at the piano. The music itself was awesome and the revelation was stunning.
***** definitely. this wasn't much a show as it was a fucking lifetime experience.. easily one of the most impacting series i've ever had the pleasure of watching. and the soundtrack was just as perfect.
Simply one of, if not the best, tv series out there. The kara remembers scene gives me MASSIVE goosebumps and chills every time. I've never been so emotionally connected with a series
I listen to the Battlestar Galactica soundtracks all the time....they are superb....beautiful.....they are tragic, triumphant....titanic......a masterpiece of work.
Some people say that this is the best scifi television production of all time. I find no fault in that description. But I do find fault in the limitation: just scifi? I think BSG - THIS BSG - is one of the top 10 dramatic shows ever put on the air. Right to the very bitter end. To think that the concept didn't start out that way. The original BSG is a poor cartoon by comparison. And such few television productions attempts such epic storytelling. To reach such emotional depths. To attempt such complex character development and attention to continuity. Amazing. Breathtaking. Definitely a bucket list show. Rewatched many times.
Not top 10 but top 25(which is still more than great) and but if we talk about soundtrack it's top 5 alongside Rome,Lost, GoT and 6 feet under/Dexter.One of a kind show
It was marked as unavailable for years... finally i can listen again 😢this is still one of the first few things I ever added to my original "favorites" playlist over 10 years ago
I fell in love with the show and almost immediately I noticed how beautiful the music score was for it throughout the entire series. So glad I found this!!
I think the soundtrack for this series had a huge part in the success of this show. It just helped to set the whole tone and theme of the series. So thankful that Bear McCreary (edited) got picked to do this. Its one of my favorite OSTs ever.
Bsg is simply the best series I've ever seen, everything in revealed itself and came together, the moments of tension and "What" were simply amazing whether it was happening this with such and such a character and that with another character, and the ost especially Kara Remembers helped even more to enhance certain moments and to involve me emotionally in many scenes!!! Thank you for this music compilation, nothing like to finish the series and already find this beauty to listen to!
This is me as it goes on: Yeah, this is pretty amazing. I really like it. Yeah. Ok. This is fraking fantastic. HOLY shit. Why have I not been listening to this non stop for the last 2 years? HOLY FRAKING GODS THIS IS AMAZING! NEVER STOP! and then it stopped.
just finished the last episode(again).... *-* I just love this show!! With all its ups and downs. My favorite show by far. Forget House of Cards, Game of Thrones, Walking Dead, Dexter, Breaking Bad even Family Guy. This Series filled me up with anger, joy, hope, sadness, my eyes with tears, my heart with hate and love. The Series handled perfectly even a tricky topic like religion. Although I'm an atheist i liked the solution they choose. Objectively BsG isn't perfect but for me it is. ahh i love it and will ever do.
+minimoyundhonigtorte I agree, I used to think TNG was the gold standard in sci fi television and for many years it was. I was totally resistant to watching new BSG but then I watched all four seasons and it's essentially the greatest tv show ever made. I pretty much cannot watch Star Trek or anything else in the same way again.
I agree. I'd say BB and Walking Dead come closest with Walking Dead coming the closest emotionally. It's funny how a lot of atheists enjoyed the ending. And religious folks didn't LOL
This was such a great show, I really miss it and the ending was just mind-blowing. Talk about a remake done right... It was kind of a more down to earth take on Battlestar Galactica, much inspired by Space: Above and Beyond
Love this show more than any other for so many reasons the soundtrack is just one of the many special things to me about this series. I love it so much
Spectacular TV series. The actors are superb. The writing is extremely well done. No "reset button" after every episode. Death and destruction follows the ships through their voyage. Extremely entertaining.
I'm a part of the #BSGGlobalRewatch2016 (we just stared S3) we often talk as we are watching about the score. Bear's work is amazing and the series while good on its' own would not be great without Bear's score. Thank you for compiling this!
Laura Runs and An Easterly View were, by far, the biggest tear-jerkers for me. After 3 watch-throughs beginning to end, I still get the feels on Laura's last raptor flight with Adama

Man what an awsome montage ! I've listened to this track over and over everywhere. Its tempo is sustained dynamic and lively. Realy nice mix. Love it ! Thank you Jamin !
This is amazing! And I couldn't shut about it enough!! For me though, the best parts by far are 9:18 , they have brought and will continue to bring tears to my eyes every single day. Truly amazing mix. SO SAY WE ALL!
That's how you know it was good, and endings make things great because without no ending, it never 'was', it just 'is' and 'is' isn't enough to love something. Maybe I'm just babbling on about nothing :D
7:30 - I get chills.... Adama is going to get his men back. There's no stopping him. Two immovable soldiers aiming at each other and someone is going down.
Love BSG and Caprica TV shows, one of the best scifi shows ever made. Also I remember some of this music from Battlestar Galactica Online, also one of the best online space combat sim ever made, sadly they shut the whole game down. Great memories from that game. Cylon forever 😁
I have to agree with you Jimmy. Though I fought for the Colonials as a Viper pilot, Deucalion2010. Made some great online friends both Cylon and Colonial. A truly awesome game, no, it was a way of life. There were some epic battles; Balent, Weyland for example. The music, aww the music. Happy memories. BSG forever. So Say We All!
lol A hard core Trekkie, would know Ronald D. Moore wrote and produced 10 years worth of Star Trek TV and films, before moving on to Battlestar Galactica after his run on Voyager. So, I don't think trekkies are the haters.
Still the best frakin show ever produced. All of this has happened before, but I fear this show will never happen again. Glad I own DVDs and download too
The best soundtrack in television history. I've listened to a lot of sound tracks. And and this really is something. So say we all.
I hate trying to tell people about this show and they just blow it off. I was skeptical about it, but good grief this is probably by far one of the best shows I have seen.

God! Not even Game of Thrones has a soundtrack that can be compared to this series. It is exceptionally exciting.
Game of Thrones is a joke , joke made to appeal to lovers of flesh and blood , im not saying i don't enjoy it but BSG is just whole different lvl .

Who's listening (and watching) in 2020? All of this has been heard before... All of this will be heard again
Watching now feb 1st 2021
now and always my friend.
March 2021.
I think it's time for a rewatch the entire series... again. :)
Hello from July 2021 :)
Time passes but it takes us back

Sleepless Revolution yes...yes....yes....
the question though is even though we know the history can we really stop it from repeating itself?

What's the best way to describe the music of Battlestar Galactica is that it has become its own hidden character inside the series itself
2024, still touches my soul.
That Easterly View to Shape of Things to Come transition was magical.
Bear McCreary, ladies and gentlemen... what a great artist!
Bear McCreary is barely noticed by the masses and he made so many excellent sound tracks not for just battlestar galactica
sul serio !!! ci vorrebbero più "bear McCreary" anche per radio... tra l'altro bravino anche il fratello
The man!
I was happy that he made GoW 2018 ost.Spectacular

Yep, that was some work. Itching to start watching this for the 6th time. :)
Abdul Al-Amry Right, just replied to myself to remind myself to go back and watch the series again. 12:04 onwards just brought it all back.
Abdul Al-Amry Did you forget to watch it again?
If so, you should watch it again.
If you didn't forget you should watch it again anyway.
;)

2022 - best Show and Soundtrack ever!
Music can make a break a show. This was so well done, amazing music to an amazing show.
Fantastic job! The time for my rewatch is drawing nigh...
Ah... the BSG OST. The soundtrack that made me love taiko drums...
It was marked as unavailable for years... finally i can listen again 😢this is still one of the first few things I ever added to my original "favorites" playlist over 10 years ago

lol, bear grillis
haha, it's Bear McCreary. Not Grillis. Maybe you were thinking Bear Grylls the Man vs Wild guy?
This has inspired me to write music, and ultimately question what i've been doing this whole time. This life is short guys, so make the best of it.
Cette série, la meilleure des meilleures, sans aucun doute
It is 2024 and I just saw the pilot episode today. I am completely hooked! How did I not know about such masterpiece till now?!?

He's modified some of the tracks to his own liking. I couldn't agree more, this mix is genius.
Hard to describe in words how beautiful " gentle execution" sounds. Amazing work, and very nicely arranged in your video
Rewatching the show in 2023.. sobsay we all
"It's in the fraking ship!"
One of the finest television sound tracks ever out of the United States it conveys atmosphere and the challenge of the story so well
Its not a show, its a miracle.
Andrés So say we all.

Laura Runs and An Easterly View were, by far, the biggest tear-jerkers for me. After 3 watch-throughs beginning to end, I still get the feels on Laura's last raptor flight with Adama
If you liked this compilation another remix/compilation video of BSG soundtrack has been posted. This time Richard Gibbs' work is included. Also, "Prelude to War" in the new video has been altered even further.
I think you should have included "heart of the sun" as the finale, but this is a wonderfull arrangement you made.

Man what an awsome montage ! I've listened to this track over and over everywhere. Its tempo is sustained dynamic and lively. Realy nice mix. Love it ! Thank you Jamin !
The greatest TV soundtrack ever composed.
It's now 2021and BSG is still the best Sci-fi show ever ! Please give us some more !
Listening in 2022 and going strong! Best soundtrack!!!
Best moment ever: season three fanalie. all along the fucking watchtower.
Simply Beautiful! Bear McCreary is the best composer of our Age!
If you just saw your views jump up, it's because I just listened to this on repeat while at work. Good stuff!!
Why does this music sound so good to me? Still listening after all these years.
This is amazing! And I couldn't shut about it enough!! For me though, the best parts by far are 9:18 , they have brought and will continue to bring tears to my eyes every single day. Truly amazing mix. SO SAY WE ALL!

SIMPLY SENSATIONAL !!! A MULTIPLE ORGASM OF BEAR´S MUSIC.
Just finished watching this show for the first time... I waited till the end to binge the OST.
This is a compilation good job at syncing some of the best tracks together!
Gentle Execution and Worthy of Survival are two of my favorites now. I had never heard them outside of the show before.
That re-mix of Prelude to War...totally Kick-ass!!!!
This is quite an amazing compilation, good job! It really ties everything in Bsg together and sums it up very well
The best god damn music and the best god damn show. It's more deep than any other tv show I ever saw.
I miss BSG!!! Great "best of" btw.
Fantastic! Very happy to hear he's composing the soundtrack for Outlander :)
Very well done, this is going into my favorites! Thank you very much!
Changed my life ,a fracking tv show !,!. How Is this possible ?
Awesome series, awesome soundtrack - thanks for posting.

SteelbeastsCavalry my dad was part of the 11th armored cav, in Vietnam. First time I’ve ever seen anyone use the Blackhorse as their thumbnail.
Ohh I know. It's so awesome. That moment is one of the best in the whole show.
The best of all compilations
9:16 - I think im gonna get cry every time when i'll remember Adama and Roslin flight in last episode :''''(
Great job. Its nice to listen to music I'm overly familiar with, as if it were new again.

Wonderful, I love this Soundtrack! Gack!
Goosebumps every time.
beautiful
Awesome Job!
Amazing simply amazing I'm gonna cry
So say we all.
The 49 who didn't like this compilation are definitely hardcore trekkies. The 50th will be an E.T. fan.
LOL
lol A hard core Trekkie, would know Ronald D.
Glad I own DVDs and download too
Nice medley!
BSG un pur moment de reflexion - et des musique à donner des frissons dans le dos
