      I know it isn’t exactly practical, but stasis crystal shatters technically are buffed by melee damage buffs, meaning if you stacked everythig correctly (lots of different buffs and armour and weapon swaps insanely fast to get it all set up, so as I said, not practical and barely even possible to set up) you could put all your stasis crystals from behemoth in one spot, then detonate them all with buffs active and hit 13.5mil damage instantly.

      Plus, what I would do that Ehoroar wouldn’t is use the super on a tank, since all crystals shatter with 100% damage.
      And you can only use 1 slam, and you can calculate the rest of the damage just by multiplying the number of slams you can do.

    It has always seemed a little odd to me that warlock supers have such a history of being weak despite the Well issue. Because of the Well pigeonholing, one would expect the other supers to come across disproportionately low in Bungie's metrics and consequently they'd trend on the high side of power as Bungie tried to compensate using the wrong lever (buffing the non-Well lock supers). But instead, nope. Instead locks have a super that by design will lead to pigeonholing AND their others are underpowered as a cherry on top.

As far as I'm aware, hunter supers without exotic are currently a few of the lowest hitting burst supers in the game while even being easy to miss with things like blades.

    Hey Ehroar! You need to redo a few of the Titan ones for the following reasons:
    1. Fist of Havoc deals more damage on the slam when it is activated in the air. This is old functionality that is no longer mentioned, but is still (intentionally) in the game. Bungie mentioned it in the patch notes for Arc 3.0.
    2. Behemoth does by far the most damage by spamming Howl of the Storm on a boss. (It also does more damage on a light attack followup than only heavy attacks).
    3. Sentinel Shield does by far the most damage on the final hit in the 3-hit chain (basically double damage). If you are in the air, that final hit is on the second hit instead of the third. So jump a tiny bit before you attack to increase your DPS.
    4. Burning Maul does more DPS and total damage on the spin rather than the slam. There is debate whether a slam first is better still because it immediately procs the tornado, whereas the spin only spawns one after three hits.
    I don't think it will move placements much, but you did miss quite a bit of damage this way. I would expect Behemoth to rise a ton though. I bet it outdamages Blade Furry tbh.

    Good video besides a couple supers being used incorrectly. For Titan stasis, you need to be slamming the ground and keeping the boss at the distance the crystals appear at, to instantly shatter themselves on the boss, otherwise damage is underwhelming. Titan void, it's much better to jump then melee as instead of doing the 3 attack combo, it just does 2 and 3 in the combo string, where the third does the most damage. Supers should be stronger than weapons after all,

    • @DarkDemon259
      @DarkDemon259 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Keep in mind that most of the damage for hunter was tested using stacks from Star Eater Scales which specifically buffs all supers by 70% at max. 900k damage is based on a build made to prioritize super damage (on a roaming super no less). Without it, silkstrike sits at around 500k total damage which I think is fine given that it isn't long range nor is it a burst super. Nerfing that super to do less under those circumstances would put its base damage close to or on par with many burst supers' damage (which is the issue with most roaming supers in general as that makes them not worth running in pve over burst options given the time it takes to get to that total damage)
      Balancing super damage based on stats from a build focused around super damage could cripple dps for builds that don't use that one specific exotic. You want supers to be viable without the exotic but enhanced with it rather than being too weak without the exotic and viable with it (which is how titans feel about the current situation with thundercrash and cuirass). I'd argue that other roaming supers need to be brought up to the level of silkstrike/berzerker rather than being nerfed.

    @gamingandchill4186 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Similar to how Hunters get Scales, Titans have Synthoceps which increase both Melee and Super damage (and sometimes both apply to an instance of a super’s attack). You can save enemies that the other teammate would have aggro’d. This would let Synthos apply for each super, though be careful with the AoE supers as they could kill the enemies giving you your Synthos. It does have a pretty forgiving range of proc-ing the Synthos perk however, and lasts for like 5 seconds once conditions are no longer met, so take advantage of that.
    I still think Falling Star is better for T-Crash than Synthos, but feel free to test if you want
    Ideas for better Titan super usage:
    For Behemoth, it’s damage is the crystals, which go everywhere. If you can keep the chicken stationary, use the Titan Glaive as the dome helps focus the crystal damage when inside of it (Selfu made a video on this too a while back)
    As for Burning Maul, spamming the spin is best, even better with a sunspot made before hand for super duration. If possible, keep boss in the sunspot so you keep Sol Invictus.
    Lastly FoH. I’d never use it, but the slam is the damage from it. It does exponentially more on the slam and aftershock it makes when used from the air, gaining more of a benefit the higher you are. You can also save time from falling by using the slam midair without moving
    Fun fact to maybe help potential retesting, with Phoenix Cradle, Sunspots grant all benefits to allies with a doubled duration, including Sol Invictus. Therefore, more super duration for all supers that have a time limit. (Oh god the potential damage of Silkstrike, Chaos Reach, and Arc Staff would be nuts) Even though it would require more setup, it is still very possible in a real game scenario, and can make a very noticeable difference
    This is not me trying to make it seem like I know more or something, it’s just my insight as a simple minded monkey from d1 days who still enjoys the punchy behavior. Sorry if it comes of as smart talk, this is just stuff I’ve noticed over my years of a crayon enjoyer. Hope it helps if you decide to test again, and hope it helps anyone who reads this

    I bet warlock stasis could actually do some decent damage if you have multiple turrets freezing the boss and you just spam the shatter attack. Probably would still be worse than using weapons and definitely would be worse than Starfire but it's possible it could be decent

    Didn’t realize Titans literally have exactly 1 burst super, that’s rough. Strand could have been a cool burst like titans weave an insanely massive fist and just hurl it at a target with some AOE damage. That would’ve been sick.

    I find it strange that synthoceps weren’t used for the titan supers

    i dont think nova bomb is bad. the other supers, aside from needlestorm, take a long time to deal their damage while nova bomb is just one quick throw. Which means you can also get damage in with your weapons before a dps phase ends and probably end with more damage overall

    Could have doubled the Behemoth damage by supering earlier and stunlocking him in the door frame with the crystal shatter damage.

    Doesnt Burning Mauls spin do more dmg then the heavy atk?

  • @Papa_WooWoo

    I think all supers in the game need to be looked at by Bungie and buffed. Some need slight buffs, some need major buffs. Especially on Titans to be honest. Most of the supers suck. They're only good for add clear. Nova bomb also needs a huge buff.

    Worth mentioning that the numbers given are misleading for practical purposes, since Wyverns (Persys included) take increased ability damage.

    Just a note. You only had roaring flames x2 on burning maul, and spin the win is better dps. Also, glacial quake crystals need to be placed in front of a moving boss so it can walk into them and destroy the crystals. You slammed your crystals behind the boss. A bit tricky but crazy dps in the best case.

    the reason no one cares if warlock supers suck for dps is because well exists. I've been sayng for a while now that we warlocks can't really compete with dps supers, but most responses were "well you don't need to because by using well you are amplifying everyone's dmg" needlestorm has certainly helped, but I would still like for well to be less dominant in the meta.

  • @Axhole11

    Solar hammer Throw had roaring flame x3 while maul had rf x2. Also the maul is supposed to be smashing the boss physically, While the ranged attack hits separately. It's bigger dmg than the hammers

    Love the video Ehroar but the numbers are misleading since you use well for some instances and not for others. That is why the strand hunter damage is so much higher + other supers that used it. I get the survivability but either use it for all supers or none to keep consistency. Much love brother

    Homie did Titan dirty by not breaking any of the crystals on the boss itself on behemoth lmao also only had roaring flames x2 for burning maul, nor did he use synthoceps for any of the melee supers. Yikers

    I can see Gathering Storm used by Divinity person hotswapped with Autoloading Hothead, even better with Lasting Impression since you delayed the damage and can buff your own rocket and super damage. You can also double dip with your Arc Surge to buff both your weapons.

  • @lukelaws3545
    @lukelaws3545 ปีที่แล้ว

    The only critique I’d have is to show that no surge is on anything and that some of the supers (seemingly, I could be wrong) get the radiance 25% buff and others don’t but overall super interesting to see how things have changed

    Something to note as well with warlock needlestorm. You will also unleash any perched threadlings, and has a very high tracking rate(better than powered melees on warlock too). The burst potential for how quick needlestorm comes out is absurd in combination with 3-5 theadlings.
    Seeing the other comments, theres a lot of room for improvement on double dipping extra super damage, thank you guys for figuring all these crazy combos out.

    Man... have we really arrived to the moment-in-life of the game that not only Nova Bomb is actually the WORST burst Super for Warlock, but also that it is ENTIRELY outclassed by the supossedly unwanted stepchild of Nova Warp? Oh how low we have fallen, fellow Voidlocks... it really is a time of mourning U_U

    what I get from this is that most Supers (especially titan) can be min maxed a little more. Like Stasis Titan where you use the crystals as the dmg source, having roaming flames times 3 instead of 2, spamming the shatter on warlock super after you fire only 1 shot instead of 2 to increase the duration and so on.
    So in total this creates a nice baseline for dmg testing, but it is also kinda unrealiable in what supers do what damage. It gets the point across which are the best and do most dmg, but in accuracy it still lacks a bit. That's a fundamental flaw when in testing. But again, the supers that are on top will stay on top, no matter how much you min max, so the reason for this test is fulfilled

    I'm pretty sure that for Burning Maul the spinning top is more dmg.
    And you have to time glacial quake properly to have the wyvern walk into the crystals.

    I’d be curious to see a starfire protocol well with witherhorde and a demolitionist heavy grenade launcher or rocket, but idk if that bosses damage phase is long enough to really see the total.
    I agree the warlock burst supers could probably use some help, but I always figured a warlocks identity was more of a well-rounded utility class, but each subclass now plays a little differently.

  • @reabra

    Synthoceps is +50% to all titan supers while active, but ok
    also spinning does way more dmg on burning maul I believe (and with 3x roaring flames, not 2x like in the vid)
