I have had a summer that didn't turn out quite like I had hoped, some health issues and family worries held me back from "the dream summer." Your gentle reminder to focus on the things that were beautiful, and there were so many, helped me to lean into my own little cottage and the enchantment all around me. Your beautiful voice and gentle way reminds me that being sensitive in this increasingly crazy world requires lots of quiet time and reflection. Thank you so much for your contribution, so often you say the very thing I was longing to hear. xo
It seems to be so many of us are not quite having the summers that we planned!! But it's not over yet : ) I hope you enjoy the last bit of it in your cottage!!!!❤❤❤
Quitting refined sugar has been THE best thing I've ever done for my body. I have so much less inflammation and joint pain, clearer thought, better skin. Bravo! Stick to it, it only gets better my friend.
I'm so grateful you shared this. I have tried it and failed horribly. If it reduces inflammation, I must try again. Sick of Dr and RX that only bandaid the issues.😊
@@dawndemet3331 sorry to hear this. Cancer feeds on sugar. That's why they inject you with glucose at your scan. Cancer glows when it eats sugar. When it glows that's how the Doctors know where your cancer is and whether it has spread. Ask your consultant what the injection contains. They will tell you a glucose substance.
The Bible says, "As a man thinketh, so is he." So true. Beautiful video. I love seeing how others live, think and believe. It takes puppies about two years to calm down, so to speak. We just adopted a chihuahua mix (I think he is mixed with a terrier) last night from the humane society; he is 7. He had two little sisters waiting at our house when he got home (dachshunds). They all slept well in the bed together last night so hoping all goes well. This little precioius boy responds to NOTHING. He either has a hearing problem or his previous owner never loved on him or played with him. So sad. We are taking him to our vet this week. If he has issues, sobeit. He is now in his forever home. 🐈💜💜
Oh, wow.. the fact that they all slept in the same bed the first night is such a good sign!!!!!!!!! I think they're going to become a lovely pack together!!!!!!!!! I always love hearing when a pup lands in a lovely forever home : ) I hope that the settling in process goes as smoothly as possible : ) ❤❤❤❤❤❤
@@littlebohocottage Thank you. Two nights together and still doing well at night but they don't interact during the day. My cousin has been a shih tzu rescue worker for over 30 years. She ended up taking anything, not just shih tzus. She says it takes two months for them to settle in with each other. Looking forward to that day. Love to you and that precious little Charlie. 💜💜
The greatest bonds in life, require patience, time, trust and unconditional love 💕 Things worth having are not instant. You and Charlie have worked so hard to bond. Everyone’s lives are different.
The smartest dog I've ever had was a 10-year-old, rescued, female chi named Cizzy. Her owner had to go into a nursing home and I was lucky enough to adopt her. She was an alpha, but only with other dogs. It was so funny walking at the park with friends and their dogs. Cizzy was one of the smallest, but she always hustled to be a "nose" in front of the others!
I love that little dog! But then I've loved every dog I've ever dogsat for. I live alone now and I have a mischievous CAT whom I loved dearly but he's the king, for sure.
You are such a lovely woman. When you get hard on yourself, remember that you are precious in the sight of God. He loves snd adores you snd gave His all for you. Really enjoy your episodes. Thank you for sharing with us. Krystyna
There is a dated but really great video with Mathew Margolis called Woof on fear aggression and just everything about dog training never using any harsh tactics and people being the main problem by misunderstanding the signals. I flip any kind of tincture using herbs and oils because it creates a vacuum that also saturates any matter that isn't submerged. Love your beautiful channel.
What a wonderful garden!!!!!. Katie, u, will do good.... & Charlie is soooooo darn cute...... like u both. I am soooo relaxed when I watch your videos..... please, keep it going!!!!!. I like,, the birds & I like the way u get so excited about the little things. ( I do toooooo.)I hope u, Katie & charlie sleep well.❤❤ blessings always 😊.
Remember all dogs are pack creatures and need a leader. We have to be the leader or pack mom. I love how puppies remind me of toddlers so silly, will try and sometimes look back to see if ok, but all need direction.
I love your Chanel and your fur baby is precious! I'm a chihuahua lover bigtime. Last December I had to say goodbye to my chihuahua of 22 years due to many health issues. It devastated me like never before with any other dog. When I see your charlie I see my little 6 lb Coopie. It warms my heart to see him on your videos. Love him up as much as you can. Sending Love and Light from Sacramento, California ❤
I'm sorry you had to say goodbye to your little friend : ( That's the thing about these little guys ... it's such a wonderful thing that they live so long ... but oh my, the pain of saying goodbye after such a long time together is so hard. For him to live into his 20s is a sign that you gave him a FABULOUS life : ) ❤❤❤ Sending hugs!!!!!
You are smart, intelligent, and a creative individual. Your house is sweet, and live your garden. Of course, the little one is precious. Just remember you're a sweet person. We see it in all your videos.
That's so awesome that you do the self-reflection to heal yourself!!! Thanks for sharing too. We need to make self-work the norm! Also sweet for you to share the tips for working with Charlie. Your dresses are awesome and you have GREAT legs! A little jealous . . . just sayin'!!! Glad you're loving the garden. Thank you for your lovely videos.
I can relate to so much in this video! I'm also infusing oils for the first time with herbs from our garden, feeling so grateful for the abundance when I see things in the big picture, and the training of dear Charlie! We got a Great Pyrenees female when she was two years old and we were her 3rd home placement. A few months after getting her I was in an accident that caused a bad concussion that took over a year to recuperate from. Working with her and her anxiety issues was SO challenging! My husband wanted to rehome her again, but I couldn't do that to her. We have all gotten so much better and she is such a love bug. She'll still let people know they'd better not come near our house, but hey, that's her job as a Pyrenees. PS, your video imagery in the garden is SO incredibly beautiful! Thank you for sharing your gifts with us!
Love Charlie! He undoubtedly loves you. It's very evident💖 I love and look so forward to your videos. I've watch you since the first video you put out. Your channel is my go to for tea time on my day off from work. I work 12 hour shifts at Hospice. Thank you for all you share. The b-roll, music, and content is wonderful💖
Aw, thank you! And thank you for what you do with your work ... it's such a wonderful thing to provide for people. But I can only imagine that it takes its toll on the providers. So, thank you : )
I can so relate to your alpha Charlie. I have had two alpha dogs in my life, and it was a challenge. (even though I loved them dearly and I still mourn their passing) I have also raised two alpha-personality sons, who are now teenagers. I am a very soft-hearted person and this has all been a major challenge for me. Then I adopted my current dog, a pug puppy. This is the first easy-going dog I have ever had and I am amazed at the difference!! He turned 1 in May, and I still haven't even gotten him fixed because his behaviour is so perfect and I have read that there are benefits to waiting. (no judgment though, I cannot imagine my other dogs not being neutered younger with their strong personalities). My little pug feels like a gift, I already fear him passing away someday because he is truly my soul mate!
Awww ... thank you for sharing that! It really is true that each dog has it's own personality and temperament ... and they're each special in their own way. I'm glad you're getting a little break with an easy-going little one : ) Dogs are the best!❤❤❤
Add some melted wax to your Rosemary & lavender infusion & you have a bug balm. I live in the deep South where mosquitos are as big as bees, lol. It really works! Love your videos & Charlie!🥰
You are a very calm person, I would of said " he definitly needs those pills, and so do I for that matter". I love to watch your videos it makes me want to slow down a little. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, ideas and recipe for lavander oil. Have a wonderful week.
You love him so much and that is what did it. Dogs need to know who the master is. He is so adorable. So glad you are enjoying him now. I love to work with herbs,,,,,,,have fun...........blessings.............MINDY
That beautiful music with the flowers in the intro, so soothing. I have an alpha hyperactive border collie girl. No real bonding possible ( feels like nice neighbor, not more).
Awww ... it's so hard when the bonding isn't coming! I hope you girls get there soon. I feel like it's extra sweet when it finally starts to happen if you had to work really hard for it!!!!!!!!❤❤❤
Charlie is a sweetie, he's come a long way. My strongest bonds have been with small dogs, especially female Chihuahuas. If anyone wants a dog who adores them, look into a female Chihuahua. My best girl was a rescue from a breeding situation. She acted like my "mom " always reading my emotions. I adored her.
My female chi is the same, She owns me & wants to be with me at all times, even the bathroom. She sleeps under the covers with me. She is oy 3lb so I was worried but she moves as I do I guess? She wants that skin to skin contact. ❤
Omg! I love you! I think your so beautiful! All I can tell you is We all see ourselves in some negative way ! No matter who you are, no one is perfect! But I can tell You, JESUS has made you wonderfully and fearfully created, and He Loves and He is The only One that can show us how loved and wonderfully created! And it was only when I knew the true Love Of Jesus that I started to love myself! Truly See how great We All Truly Are! I pray you open Youe eyes to See the way Jesus truly see You, and when you know His love you are forever changed!!! You are truly loved by many from what I see!!! From your comments you receive, we think your lovely, beautiful and such a sweet spirit you carry!!! I pray you see how special you really are! I’m 66 years old and married most of my life, but when I came to know Jesus and how much He loves me, I don’t need any other to reassure me anymore, when you know you are loved and in right standing with Him…… That’s Really Truly All I Want! I just want to please Him! I pray to let Him into your heart and life, and I pray it will be the best encounter with The King of Kings and Lord of All
Hello Kate! I am a new subscriber to your channel and am loving watching your videos! I love the life you have created for yourself and your little companion, Charlie....he's adorable! I've had dogs in my life, but now I have a cat, and I'm always reminding her that I am the boss in the house! Enjoy the rest of your weekend, and have a beautiful week ahead!
What a sweet and aromatic video! A couple of weeks ago you inspired me to make fire cider, which I’d never heard about! I made four jars and gave two away. So eager and curious to try it in a couple of weeks. I love hearing about training Charlie… I’ve never had a dog and I’m considering getting one. The cat I have now is 17 years old and she was a rescue. I have spent most of her life training her as well, to not bite me and to let me brush her. She is so affectionate now. Every night she gets up on the pillow where I brush her and waits for me. When she and my other cat-now gone-were young I used baby food as treats to teach them their names. She also knows about 10 other words. She’s an indoor outdoor cat and has a curfew! Every night at 9:30 she has to come in. I learned how important habit and routine are for cats, so I feel good about giving her that structure. What I envy about your beautiful world is the moisture! Here in California with the triple digit heat on top of a multi year drought and sometimes I think I’m going to go crazy! Today it is cooler and it’s like a breath of heaven. I also got some tasty little tomatoes this year, but the leaves on my green beans are crisping up into dust because they can’t survive the sun. I am working on being grateful for what is growing and taking note what other people do to help their garden survive. Thank you again for an utterly lovely excursion into your world!
Ooooh ... you're going to love the fire cider! In fact, thank you for reminding me because I need to get some batches of it started again!!!! And that's amazing that your cat knows exactly what time to come home! Our babies are so so so smart!!!!! I hope that very soon the heatwave breaks for you guys over there and you can enjoy some cooler weather. ❤❤❤
Ooooh ... I hope you end up loving that spice as much as I do! I have to take a break from it because I've been putting it in literally everything, lol!
Well, I can hardly believe how beautiful your garden looks. Specially, if you haven’t been taking care of it, everything was beautiful thanks so much for sharing so many beautiful things you found, and a great harvest.
Hi There lovely vlog that lavender lotion you made looks good, an nourishing, An Charlie he use to be like my dog at first she use be uncontrollable, Then at 1yrs old she settled down,So cute sometimes her actions were, miss her so much,That's good your garden is giving you some delicious produce,l love having a garden an gardening so peace, that salad is amazing love tuna in salads 🥗 Enjoy your week 😊❤❤❤❤❤❤
I'm so glad your pup calmed down for you: ) Getting through that initial stage can be so tough ... but it's always worth it in the long run! Hope you have a lovely week!
Great reminder that animals all have their own personalities, and it takes time to bond sometimes. Humans expect a fast-food type of relationship with their new pets, sometimes. Patience is key. I'm a fan of adopt don't shop and would have loved to have heard he was a rescue, but I'm glad your Charlie didn't end up in the shelter and you kept working with him. Sadly, Chihuahua's are one of the most euthanized animals in the shelters due to how many there are looking for homes. And, at least in my area, an extraordinary number of Covid pets have been returned which in turn has caused an even higher number of animals looking for a new home. I think some people just give up, think it's all going to be easy-peasy when you adopt an animal, in particular a puppy and before you know it, they dump them at a shelter. Wishing you and Charlie many long, happy years together. Also, I can relate to the self-doubt, negative talk and trying to counter it in its tracks. It doesn't always work but try and try again is my motto. Your garden (in spite of the mosquitos) is a dream I hope to achieve someday!
Thank you for your comment! Charlie was such a tough pup to work with that I found myself understanding how people give up ... I never had understood that before. Whew, the patience! But I wanted to share this story because I'm SOOOOOO glad I didn't give up. Once we turned a corner, it's been more and more amazing ever since : ) It's so sad so many dogs are back in shelters after covid. I got him during the height of covid and tried for months to adopt. My previous dog was a rescue and just the greatest dog EVER. Rescue organizations wouldn't work with me because I currently rent and don't have a fenced in yard, and shelters had at least hundred people each vying for smaller dogs. I was so bummed. I tried for so many little ones that seemed like the perfect fit, but someone else always got them (which is good). But then Charlie made his way into my life and it all worked out : ) Hope you have a wonderful rest of the week!
@@littlebohocottage Thank you for the lesson on assuming! You clearly have a good heart and I hope you and Charlie have a wonderful rest of the week, too. 🌞
Wow! Story 46! I've loved each and every one, always so special or inspiring or feelgood, mostly all 3!. I loved seeing Charlie at the river....TFS Kate X
My chihuahua, Jaz, has the same temperament. It has taken many years to get her to stop, sit, stay. Every time the door opened she would try to escape. I had several scary moments when she was in her teens… Today she is 10 and finally calm, likes to sit in my lap or next to me. Still working on her barking at strangers. Everyone laughs because she is so tiny and couldn’t really do any harm above your ankles. 😅
Aw, Jaz : ) It's very scary when they are escape artists!!!!! Charlie doesn't do that ... and I'm thankful. We had a dog named Biscuit when I was younger who would escape every time you opened the door. We'd run through the neighborhood yelling "cheese, cheese, cheese!" because she would come back for slices of American cheese, lol. But it's scary with busy roads nearby! So glad Jas is now discovering the joys of being a lap dog : )❤❤❤
I just love you videos Kate! I can relate to Charlie’s first year with Zoey. My male dog Teddy is older he was 4 when I rescued Zoey as a 6 week old Chihuahua. She immediately took over as the alpha. I was surprised Teddy did not put up a fight. It took me over a year to get her manageable. She still nodded him around and if I am reprimanding Teddy she will bite him. For a little girl she can be bossy 😂 I have up on my garden this year. The rain and no sun just destroyed it. Hardly any flowers, one tomato, a couple of peppers and that’s it. I hope you have a great week friend ❤
These little chis can have SUCH big personalities!!!!!!! But soooo worth the effort : ) I'm sorry about your garden : ( Let's hope next summer is a little more gentle!
Kate I have a sweet tooth that is insane. I've tried and failed giving up sugar. When I get a taste of it, there is no stopping me lol I go ballistic 😂. This has been encouraging to hear that you're doing it. I need to try again. Grateful that you shared the self esteem workbook. I will get it. Nice that you shared your Charlie journey with other dog parents. I didn't know it was that easy to make a nourishing hair and skin oil. The one I was getting cost $25 for 4 ounces. I can do this myself. Learn so much for you dear one. Thank you hun. Enjoy your weekend💕😘😊
Oh man ... it's a TOUGH one! Honestly, I did it before and kept it out for 3 years. I lost all desire for sweets after the first year. But then I put it back in ... and have tried over and over to stop many times but failed. This time around, it was dealing with the Lyme and taking the strong antibiotics that were my motivators. I wanted to make sure I did everything to help my body. But if I didn't have that motivator, I don't know if I could have gotten through the first week!!!!! I hope that you enjoy the workbook if you get it! I found a used copy online and it was much much cheaper. I just made sure there was no previous writing in it. Hope you're having a great weekend!❤❤❤
I LOVE tuna with cottage cheese. When a friend of mine introduced me to tuna and cottage cheese years ago, I thought she was crazy until I tried it. Now, that is the ONLY way I will eat cottage cheese.
I love dill pickles.. make a switch... I make my own too.. I buy ACV, pickle herbs and small cukes.. Its called refrigerator pickles....I no longer eat sweets and I do not miss it at all.
Charlie’s little tantrum had me in hysterics. Too funny. Enjoyed this video as I have all the others. Lavender is one of my favorite scents and combined with rosemary it’s amazing. Great when you have a headache. I used to use lavender aromatherapy when I suffered from migraines. Someday, I hope to have a very small dog like Charlie. We just lost our beloved Sheltie three months ago, so, we’re not ready yet. My husband wants a really small dog when we are ready. I told him I know just the breed!
I'm so sorry you had to say goodbye to your pup. It's so hard : ( : ( They are such a big part of our lives. And thanks for the reminder that I can pull out that oil when I have a headache too! Thank you!❤❤❤
I go sugar, flour and most carb freee frim April until Oct 30th. I feel so much energy and don't crave food or am very hungry. I love to bake so need my holiday sweets. I use good ingredients. Added bonus goodby 10 to 15lbs. I never weigh myself till the end, but my clothes tell me the story. Fellow Chi owner and she is the boss of the house, should have read the book you did! I actually get mild withdrawl symptoms fatige achy bones my girst week. Pickle juice helps. Anything that gives you withdrawl symptoms cant be that good for you. ❤
Love your videos and lifestyle updates. Charlie is so adorable(after getting over cute tantrums 😂)and your cottage is so perfect for you both💜 TH-cam waynesville NC USA 🇺🇸 veteran
My last male toy poodle was a beta and always wanted yo please. I am now disabled, and my current male poodle is an alpha... 😂😂 I love him anyway, and now pray a lot more!
All dogs have their own personality, your breed is very challenging, your guidance has made a big difference. 👍🌈 Charlie is adorable I always praise & thank my dog when she barks and it really calms her down when I acknowledge her. I think she thinks it's her job to alert me, and protect the house. Have been training her who is who, and have noticed now that she has different barks & growls for friends, family, animals, mailman, and strangers. Still some challenges, but nothing is perfect, Lily Ann is her name, Shih Tzu, 8 pounds of love.❤ Solitude is the beginning of loving & learning yourself. "Hate those negative thoughts."Love your book, always nice to hear you are doing the best you can in this moment ❤ Thanks for sharing😊 Making zucchini lasagna for dinner. It's such a beautiful day.🌻🌞✌️
Oh that tuna salad looks so good! I’ve heard that giving up refined sugars can make a huge difference and found this so interesting. I always look forward to sweet Charlie♥️
Iv'e done it before and felt amazing! After a year or so, I genuinely had zero desire for sweet things. Which I thought was amazing! Hope you're having a great weekend!❤❤❤
A David Burns book, Feeling Good, the New Mood Therapy was an integral part of my healing from my divorce years ago. Your mentioning him made me go get it out, perhaps to read through it again, like you are re-doing the workbook. Thanks for that connection.... Love your serene lifestyle and the great video work you do with these! Shalom!
I love that book! When I read it, though, I knew I had to actually work out the emotions on paper ... which is what led me to the workbook. He's got so much good advice. Hope you're having a wonderful weekend!❤❤❤
I was excited to see your video pop up this morning. We have been socked in with smoke for a few days now. It's really bad from the fires in Canada and also on our side- kind of depressing. Your videos always make me happy. That was so cool to see how far Charlie has come in his behavior- you're such a good mama. Thanks for sharing your oil infused recipe for skin and hair. I think I'll try it. My skin can always use the extra moisture as it is so dry where I live. Hope you and Charlie enjoy your weekend. 💞
Oh man : ( I'm so sorry for all the smoke out your guys' way! After experiencing wildfire smoke for the first time ever this year on the east coast, I have such a newfound sympathy for you all who experience it so often. What a challenge! I hope that it passes soon. But until then, some lavender oil might be really soothing and calming at the same time!!!! Sending hugs!❤❤❤
Hopefully it will all come together faster for you if you're the alpha early on! I wish I had known when he was a baby, baby. But live and learn!!!!! Hope you're having a wonderful weekend!❤❤❤
I always look forward to your weekly videos...ThNk you for sharing with us...i love everything about your style... from your home, garden, clothes abd or course little Charlie...He looks just like my very first Chihuahua I ever had....And i do mean just like him ...But my Chihuahua's name was Goliatha...The vet always got a kick out of such a little dog named after a giant...hehe...Anywho, i cant wait until your next video...Hope you have a wonderfully peaceful week...✌️💜🐾🐾🥰
This is amazing! I was just looking for something to help with negativity and self esteem!! Im going to get this book. Wow, funny how this works. I was just looking into getting an expensive life couch. Ill get the book instead. 😊
Life is often unexpected.😊 I acquired my little dog when he was 6. He was already well trained which was such a blessing. He sleeps with me every night and goes almost everywhere with me. When my daughter was 12 we gave her a doxie puppy. He lived to be almost 13 and he was quite the handful for his entire life! We loved him and he liked cuddles now and then but he was definitely an alpha. It's so different having a calm dog who just wants to hang out with me. Anyway, I grew a tiny bit of English lavender this year. Now, after your video, I'm thinking I should harvest it and make my own infused oil. ❤
Isn't it so funny to see how different they can all be?! Just like humans, lol! I've been checking on the oil and it's starting to smell so good! My English lavender definitely smelled better than the French this year. Hope you're having a great weekend!❤❤❤
I started checking yesterday hoping for a video soon. As always, I was thrilled when I saw you had posted. Thank you again for a beautifully filmed and edited video. The calm, serenity and hope you share is so appreciated. Have a beautiful week!❤
Hi Kate and Charlie. It's been so hot and dry here in Texas! I literally soaked in your video this week. I am so happy you guys have had a lot of rain and cool temperatures. I am so grateful you have each other. As you know, I live alone too with my sweet lil Shihtzu Monet. She adds so much joy and love to my life. I love her sweetness and her cuddles. It's been so hot and dry here in Texas, the fleas have been horrible. I had to take Monet to the vet and she had to be put on some meds for fleas and a shot for itching. Poor baby was chewing and scratching little bald spots around the base of her tail. She is doing so much better. Because of the extreme heat, we have had to stay in. As you know hest can be so draining to your body. Having to drink Lots of water. Looking forward to Fall and cooler temps. It's been in the upper 80's & 90's even at night. As you can see that is why I literally drank in your video especially when you and Charlie went to the river! I look forward to each and every video you make. I love the way Charlie looks when you take him with you on a leash or especially your backpack. I am so glad he finally settled down and has become the little friend and companion you need. Y'all make a sweet couple. Sending a big hug and kiss on the cheek from Texas. I love you guys! From Vivian and Monet! 😘🐶
Aw, I'm so sorry Monet has been having a tough time with the fleas : ( Poor baby! And I'm so sorry that you're having to endure such a long heatwave. I so so so hope that it breaks soon for you guys and you can finally get a little relief. Charlie and I send you guys the biggest hugs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please take good care of yourself and stay hydrated!!!!!!!!❤❤❤
Hi Kate! Thank you for another beautiful video and especially for sharing your challenges with Charlie and giving some encouragement, support and helpful advise to others. I spent 7 years doing intensive animal rescue and education is such an important aspect in regards to taking care of our little friends and having a successful outcome and a wonderful bond. 🐾💖
Thank you for watching!!!!! He's made me work for it, for sure! But now we've really turned a corner. I hope that sharing the story helps others to hang in there with their pup if it's taking longer than expected : ) ❤❤❤
I only found your channel here a few days ago, and I absolutely love how you combine a slower pace of life with nature, your garden, thrifty finds, decor, even the music you put to the videos and your very handsome little companion 😊 I'm working on my mental health, difficult life choices and finding myself, for so many of us life has not gone the way we would have liked, twists on the road, and losing sight of ourselves. I certainly still have a way to go to heal, but I just wanted to say thank you, finding your channel and even hearing the beautiful tunes you play in the background has felt really healing, I watch and listen with a genuine smile on my face, and that isn't something I've been able to do very much, my mind slows and I just feel as if I may have found a little part of myself. So, I just wanted to send you a heartfelt spiritual hug from me, all the way from equally rainy England! I hope you feel the hug 🌈 With thanks and gratitude 🙏
To know that the videos have brought a smile to your face during a difficult moment in life makes me very, very happy. Day by day : ) Breath by breath. Sending you the biggest, biggest hugs❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
@@littlebohocottage thank you 🙏 funny how the universe times all the blessings for just when we need them 😊 Wishing you joy every day in your beautiful Little Boho cottage ❤️
Thank you so much my dear friend for a wonderful video beautifully filmed and shared with us. Love everything about it. Do you have a beautiful garden hugs and kisses from grandma, Sandy, and Debbie.
Loved this video. My Yorkie is 4 years old and for the first 2 years he was horrible. I kinda regretted getting him and I felt so guilty for feeling that way. He’s doing good now and I love him sooo much. It was so good to hear that you had the same problem cause I felt so bad about myself. T Thanks so much for sharing you experience with Charlie it helped me a lot!! 🤗
I have a little 3 lbs. 14 year old tea cup Chihuahua, who is very headstrong but sweet at the same time. I also had a very hard time bonding with her over the years, but finally had got to the point where I just couldn’t take it anymore so I started putting my foot down and not letting her “boss me around.” Things have been so much better since I’ve done that and she’s still happy. It’s just she knows she has certain expectations on her now .. we are both a lot happier!😂😃
Haha ... isn't it amazing how much personality is packed into these tiny little chi bodies?!?!? They will definitely run the show if allowed, lol. Hope you're having a wonderful weekend!❤❤❤
Yay! Another lovely and inspiring video. I've definitely been working on being more positive and it is hard, I feel like all our brains have a negativity bias, but it's worth it in the end.
Kate, I have pulled the ad off, the Internet! I have decided to give Rudy more time. Today, I took him on a 7 hour drive, to and from my friend's house. He was as good as gold. So good, I bought him, another bed! Just what he needs, like a hole in the head. It is a micro fuzzy tent like enclosure and, boy, did he snuggle inside it. I have been kissing the top of his head and, counting each kiss, as a game. I think he is thinking...leave me alone. You are right, life is, as it should be. We just have to find a way, to make it work out. Thanks for talking about your relationship with Charlie. I have great hopes, for Rudy and, I. Take care, be happy.❤
Great video! I love seeing and hearing about your journey with Charlie. That's so funny that he was the alpha at first! I think that's the trouble I have with my Chi, Taco! That "little dog syndrome" 😂 Good that you did something about it and found training tips that worked for you and him!! My little Taco, still likes to be the alpha in certain situations! I haven't done a whole lot of training with him. He's a pretty good dog though! I LOOOOOOOVE your idea for making the infused oil!!! I think I'm definitely going to do the same! You do live in a beautiful area! Wow! It's so dry here in Central Oregon, and currently we're all suffering our usual summer dose of wildfire smoke - although its not as bad this year, thankfully!! 🙏 I wrote down the title of that book too (as I'm sure a lot of other viewers did 😉) It looks really helpful! Thank you for sharing your world, Kate! It's such a lovely little escape ☺💗💗
Oh, Taco : ) Chis are so funny!!!! I hope that you get some relief soon from all the smoke : ( I'm so sorry you guys are having such a rough time at the moment. Please stay safe!!!!!❤❤❤
Your garden looks amazing!! How did your Lavender Treatment turn out? You are so lucky to get rain in your area. We are in a Drought and dealing with Wildfires! I just spoke to a friend today, who is on Evacuation Alert. It breaks my heart 😢. We SO desperately need rain!! I can't wait for Fall 🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂. Charlie has made such progress!! Way to go to both of you!! So much to learn as each Dog is so unique. 💕
I'm so sorry about the drought and wildfires! I hope you guys stay safe and that some rain comes your way very, very soon. This was the first year I've ever experienced wildfire smoke ... I have such a newfound empathy for you guys who deal with it regularly : ( Please stay safe!!!❤❤❤
I need to think harder on this. I’m living with terminal cancer and it’s really affected my bones.
Thanks for sharing!!!! So not easy at first ... but SO worth it!!!!!!!! Glad you're feeling great : ) ❤❤❤
So not easy to do! They say it's more addictive than cocaine : ( But it gets so much easier once you get through the first few weeks!!!!❤❤❤@@anye76
I think your little guy is a protector at heart. That’s probably why he doesn’t sleep with you. He is watching the house for you.
Going "no sugar, no starches has been the best move for me! I use chopped dill pickles with my tuna. Delicious and sugar free❤
Krystyna
And His word, the Bible, is also a self-help book!

Aw, thank you so much for that! I really appreciate that reminder : ) ❤❤❤
I don’t comment often but I watch all of your videos & I love them. I just have to say, Thank you for sharing peace & beauty with the world! 💗💗💗
Thank you so much for sharing that lovely comment! I'm so glad you enjoy the videos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We see it in all your videos.
aw, thank you so much for such kind words! I really appreciate that!!!!!!!❤❤❤
That's so awesome that you do the self-reflection to heal yourself!!!
Thank you for sharing your lovely videos 💛💐🏴
Thank you so much for watching!!!!!❤❤❤
Love Charlie! He undoubtedly loves you. It's very evident💖
I love and look so forward to your videos.
So, thank you : )
very nice video , thanks for sharing about Charlie, he is so cute.
Try tarragon in your tuna salad, life changing....😉❤🌱
Oooh ... that sounds amazing!❤❤❤
Lovely video and your Charlie is so adorable even his tiny tantrum was adorable to watch ❤
Thank you!!!!! And haha, yes, those tantrums were hilarious and really BIG for a tiny guy, lol : ) Have a great weekend!❤❤❤
Love your positivity! You Go Girl! But the Sugar😮 I would have a hard time with that. Best of luck🎉😅❤
Add some melted wax to your Rosemary & lavender infusion & you have a bug balm. I live in the deep South where mosquitos are as big as bees, lol. It really works! Love your videos & Charlie!🥰
What a great idea!!!!!! Thank you!!!!!!
Thank you both for the infused oil and wax balm ideas!!! I am a mosquito treat factory.
Charlie is the best!
I think so ... but I'm definitely biased : ) ❤❤❤
You are a very calm person, I would of said " he definitly needs those pills, and so do I for that matter". I love to watch your videos it makes me want to slow down a little. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, ideas and recipe for lavander oil. Have a wonderful week.
adore your recipes🤎
You love him so much and that is what did it. Dogs need to know who the master is. He is so adorable. So glad you are enjoying him now. I love to work with herbs,,,,,,,have fun...........blessings.............MINDY
Thank you!!!!!! Sending big hugs!!!!❤❤❤
That beautiful music with the flowers in the intro, so soothing. I have an alpha hyperactive border collie girl. No real bonding possible ( feels like nice neighbor, not more).
Awww ... it's so hard when the bonding isn't coming! I hope you girls get there soon. I feel like it's extra sweet when it finally starts to happen if you had to work really hard for it!!!!!!!!❤❤❤
Thank you I look forward to your videos, they make me feel good. Take care.
I'm so glad : ) I hope you're having a wonderful weekend!❤❤❤
You are a beautiful lady so kind
Thank you so much for those kind words : )❤❤❤
The rosemary and lavender oil will be amazing. Your tuna salad looked yummy. I know what you mean about sweet pickles with tuna salad~😢
Oh, it's just SO yummy!!!!!!!❤❤❤
Charlie is a sweetie, he's come a long way. My strongest bonds have been with small dogs, especially female Chihuahuas. If anyone wants a dog who adores them, look into a female Chihuahua. My best girl was a rescue from a breeding situation. She acted like my "mom " always reading my emotions. I adored her.
Aw, I agree ... female chihuahuas are just the sweetest thing ever!!!!!!!!! ❤❤❤
My female chi is the same, She owns me & wants to be with me at all times, even the bathroom. She sleeps under the covers with me. She is oy 3lb so I was worried but she moves as I do I guess? She wants that skin to skin contact. ❤
A great video once more! Love viewing your creativity. It gives me inspiration to try some new things. Love yourself, you are a great person!!! ❤
Thank you so much for those kind words!❤❤❤
What a wonderful gift! I loved seeing vintage photos of your previous dogs and you 😊
Aw, thank you!!!!!!!!!! Hope you're having a wonderful weekend!❤❤❤
Omg!

Hello! Thank you for watching : ) : ) And haha .. yes, I think cats need that same reminder!!!! Hope you're having a wonderful weekend!❤❤❤
You need a pretty basket to do your garden gathering. It would suit your video aesthetic.😊 Your videos have a calm about them that I love.
Thank you!
You're so right! I'll have to look next time I'm out thrifting!!!!! Have a great weekend!❤❤❤
Love Charlie and your videos. I have purchased the TJ Umami and the Ten Days to Self Esteem book because of you.
Ooooh ... I hope you end up loving that spice as much as I do! I have to take a break from it because I've been putting it in literally everything, lol!
I love your videos so much. thank you for all of the beauty you share with us!
Thank you so much for watching!!! I appreciate it!❤❤❤
Well, I can hardly believe how beautiful your garden looks. Specially, if you haven’t been taking care of it, everything was beautiful thanks so much for sharing so many beautiful things you found, and a great harvest.
Thank you!!!!!! I think our rainy, rainy July helped it : ) Have a great weekend!❤❤❤

Aw, thank you! I really appreciate that!!!!!!!!!!❤❤❤
Wonderful video. Thank you for sharing. Little Charlie is such a special fella. ❤
Thank you : ) He is definitely one of a kind in my book : )
❤❤❤❤❤Thank you for sharing 😊 have a wonderful weekend
You too!!!!!!❤❤❤
I always make my tuna salat with cottage cheese, onions and herbs so yummy🤤
This sounds amazing
I LOVE tuna with cottage cheese. When a friend of mine introduced me to tuna and cottage cheese years ago, I thought she was crazy until I tried it. Now, that is the ONLY way I will eat cottage cheese.
I've never heard of that combo!!!!!!!! Interesting!!!!!!!!!!

Charlie is adorable
I always praise & thank my dog when she barks and it really calms her down when I acknowledge her.
I think she thinks it's her job to alert me, and protect the house.

Haha, I've had friends say they're rather have a newborn baby again than a puppy, lol! It's so hard sometimes!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for the inspiration!I have a little chihuahua named Sophia. She is small and spicy butt such a sweet girl😊😊😊
That's a perfect description of a chi ... small and spicy : )❤❤❤
This is amazing! I was just looking for something to help with negativity and self esteem!! Im going to get this book. Wow, funny how this works. I was just looking into getting an expensive life couch. Ill get the book instead. 😊
I found it online used ... and much cheaper. Just be sure to check that it doesn't have writing already in it. But I think it was only like $5 used!
Try vicks to keep away ticks, mosquitos, and it also takes away bite itches!
I started checking yesterday hoping for a video soon. As always, I was thrilled when I saw you had posted. Thank you again for a beautifully filmed and edited video. The calm, serenity and hope you share is so appreciated. Have a beautiful week!❤
Thank you so much for those kind words!!!!!!!!!! Hope you're having a wonderful weekend!❤❤❤
I adore your dogs name❤
I only found your channel here a few days ago, and I absolutely love how you combine a slower pace of life with nature, your garden, thrifty finds, decor, even the music you put to the videos and your very handsome little companion 😊
I'm working on my mental health, difficult life choices and finding myself, for so many of us life has not gone the way we would have liked, twists on the road, and losing sight of ourselves.
I hope you feel the hug 🌈
With thanks and gratitude 🙏
To know that the videos have brought a smile to your face during a difficult moment in life makes me very, very happy. Day by day : ) Breath by breath. Sending you the biggest, biggest hugs❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
@@littlebohocottage thank you 🙏 funny how the universe times all the blessings for just when we need them 😊
Wishing you joy every day in your beautiful Little Boho cottage ❤️
Thank you so much my dear friend for a wonderful video beautifully filmed and shared with us. Love everything about it. Do you have a beautiful garden hugs and kisses from grandma, Sandy, and Debbie.
Thank you so much for watching!!!!!!!!! Sending giant hugs!❤❤❤
Hi Kate, another amazing upload!
Thank you!!!!!!!!!! Hope you're having a wonderful weekend!❤❤❤
Love this and so inspiring ❤
❤❤❤❤❤❤
@@littlebohocottage 😆😂
Yay! Another lovely and inspiring video. I've definitely been working on being more positive and it is hard, I feel like all our brains have a negativity bias, but it's worth it in the end.
Gosh, it can be such a challenge sometimes!!!!!!! Keep trying!!!!!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤
You inspired me to try the oils. Thank you once again for a delightful video.
Thank you for watching : ) ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I wrote down the title of that book too (as I'm sure a lot of other viewers did 😉) It looks really helpful!
