Especially with this segment going for a whole minute it can make you feel like this feeling is endless.

Fun fact that will probably be relevant to a future video: The opening of Xiao's character demo "Doomsbane" OST "Path of Yaksha" uses half of the bassline from E1M1 (the first and arguably most iconic OST from the original DOOM) as an homage since he's a daemon killer who has slain probably hundreds of thousands of daemons over the course of his long life, similar to the Doom Marine. It breaks into a more intense version of the regular Liyue character motif for most of the song, but I think it's a really cool detail.

A game soundtrack I'd recommend to try out is the first Redout game, it's an anti gravity racing game in a similar style to Wipeout or F zero. While the music isn't really there to tell a story, it does an amazing job of using trance style to control the pace you feel like you're going at, and keep you driving forward, while also being the foundation for other styles of instruments/music (guitars, orchestral, electronic) to give each area you race in it's own instantly recognizable flair (Each race area has 2 themed songs). Some examples i like are Subsurface (Europa), Arabia Terra and Nearby Stars (Mars), On my own (Alaska), The Lost Hook (Rotorua). Great Dark Spot and Red storm are two great tracks to hear an Orchestral style fit into a game about racing in space at supersonic speeds.

@@jesseallen3109 both redout games are good, but you get a vastly different experience depending on which one you play, the first game has a lot heavier handling, and is less reliant on boost mechanics to make you feel like you're going fast, the second is much twitchier, with a lot of tight turning and heavy boost utilisation, I have more fond memories of the first game, and would probably recommend it over the second especially if you haven't played AG games in a while, the second game can downright frustrate me and feel like a slog sometimes, but then when things go well it feels amazing, but both are on the harder end of racing games.

Mick Gordon’s soundtrack on Doom is one of the shining examples of why I often feel like video game music today is the purest form of music. Doesn’t matter what genre of music you are into, like or dislike metal music it will MAKE you feel the way it wants you to feel in that moment. In this case rage, bloodlust and violence. I’ve seen the most innocent and kind people turn into frenzied murder machines listening to this track and get completely sucked into that state of mind. It’s akin to the religious experience people get in church when listening to worship music.

My opinion: The music of doom is written from the perspective of the doom slayer. You are a one-man-army massacering your way through the legions of hell. That is why there is a theme of individuality in the music. There is one distinct guitar. one distinct synth, decidedly simplistic drums. the only aspect which speaks against this would be the choir, but I think you can imagine them as your personal background singers, celebrating you after glorious combat. The entire soundtrack is basically your very own boss music.
