Lol. I know . I never heard speak before until this vid . Kind of hate how he didn't get involved in a lot of interviews . He's a fucking talented drummer . Maybe he has social anxiety or something . Or maybe he likes to let Daron and Serj talk more since they're the ones that usually get the most attention .
Maxwell Catlett Yeah man seriously, like it's not cool that they announced the album, and played a few shows, and then it doesn't come out :/ Guns are Loaded is such a badass song, I must have it xD
F... me I absolutely love these 4 guys here, mate... I don't care if Serj sounds like freaking squidward for the rest of his career at concerts, or even if Shavo can't even play cause he's too high up on the shrooms... just watching them make an interview or do whatever the f... they do, I feel at peace. They knew how to be one of Top-3 or Top-5 Heavy Metal bands in the world at a certain point in time, and I will ever respect and love them just for that. Sorry for the smoothness and for the lengthy comment.
***** You only have to ask an Armenian to know why i'm pro *YPK* :) it's awesome being the underdog sometimes the worlds watching *YPK* we love you *YPK vs ISIS FOR THE WIN* very few nations stand up to tyrants
Silvia Crespo evidently he didn't say anything positive or negative but right after he mentioned their names he laughed. We know Kardashians are famous and rich but obviously they aren't good representative of Armenia
Turkey still needs to answer for the Armenian genocide & make reparations for it. Until the West start to pressurise them into making an acceptable response, nothing will happen. The Turks have had 100 years to have done the right thing by themselves but clearly they have no intentions. The genocide was not an' accident of war', it was a systematic massacre of the Armenian people & it should not be allowed to be swept under the carpet of history.
Although there has been some International political pressure, Turkey has been very reluctant to make any positive statements or announce any significant measures to either recognise the genocide as such or make any steps towards making reparations. In public the Turkish govt. only appear to acknowledge the genocide when pressed to do so, whilst in private they generally continue to make noises towards continued denial. Unfortunately, Turkey's geographic significance as the gateway to Asia & the Crimea, continues to deter Western govts. from pursuing the issue with any real intent.
it's a complicated historical issue that requires serious conversation ..*both sides experienced casualties* ... there were around 2.5 million muslims in the region who were also casualties of war ... from what I've been researching as legitimately as I could .. .... these were just *casualties of war* with complex political nature behind it ...nothing more , nothing less ... ....
Yes, it is a complicated issue & I'm well aware it's still a sensitive issue which some Govts accept as fact & others still deny happened. Where I would disagree with you is in that the Ottoman Empire was an active participant in the War whilst, (although clearly there were activists who saw an opportunity to gain Independence & solicited help from Turkey's enemies), Armenia was not. Certain elements of the Turkish Govt. saw an opportunity to not only eliminate any threat by those activists but also to seize land & property. The estimated 1M+ Armenians who were then systematically displaced & killed were Civilians & therefore not as you claim, considered to be Casualties of War. However, I'm also aware many Turks strongly dispute these figures.
for the most part both sides quote biased authors of subjective historical literature ..which is just insufficient and inconclusive to any further discussion .. there r those who via contextualised information which may potentially be presented as facts come to certain out -of -zone conclusions .. it's all one vicious circle where this debate became dependant of international politics ..and just represents their interests and fluctuates accordingly ...and thus definitely does not portray the truth .. nor it will (even if one of the arguments gets more votes for it's legitimacy) .. genocide happened in Bosnia and is admitted as such by international court due to the substantial, unequivocal evidences .. in forms of the videos, audio files, witnesses and much more and even then it took 20 bloody years for court to make the decision ..
How come interviewers always seem totally ignorant about the band/people they interview and how to pronounce their names or social issues that they're all about?
Jesus, put out a new record already! I love these guys and their old albums are great, but C'mon! How many more times youre gonna tour on the old albums? It is time for God sake, how many more solo albums Serj is going to do before they spend just 1 month out of the year in the freaking studio and write new songs together?
I really doubt they will make another album im a big fan and I would love nothing more than a sixth album but to be honest with you if they make a new album it wouldn't be true system cuz Serj is in a way only focusing on his solo career you know I can imagine that behind doors the band had their arguments about this topic especially now since all four of them are getting older and have different views in life
Wow Kevin and Bean are fucking awful interviewers. And surprisingly, SOAD sound really sincere despite (in my opinion) having become pretty un-authentic in their shows.
Gitai Vinshtok Well, they've gotten older and such and don't have the pure energy they used to had. They also don't do nearly as many hard drugs as they used to do which was a large portion of their stage energy.
SERJ, YOU ALSO HAVE A GRANDSON. HIS NAME IS IVAN. I LOVE HIM. HE'S 15. I HAVENT SEEN HIM FOR A WHILE. SAM SAID THE LAST TIME I WA WITH HIM THAT I NETTER TAKE A GOOD LONG LOOK AT MY SON, BECAUSE ITS GOING TO BE THE OAST TIME I EVER SEE HIM... WTF!
Shavo: "The Kardashians are Armenian..."
Daron: "HALF! HALF!"
Darius E. Love how they react
Their so dang cute lol.. I know, late comment
wth i didn't even know that lol
Hahahaha
Having an intervien in which John speaks more than Daron is unreal
Lol. I know . I never heard speak before until this vid . Kind of hate how he didn't get involved in a lot of interviews . He's a fucking talented drummer . Maybe he has social anxiety or something . Or maybe he likes to let Daron and Serj talk more since they're the ones that usually get the most attention .
Serj sounds like the father of the group lol, so well spoken
well he's like 8 years older, and you can see it, he's like more... more serious
Back in the day he's the wildest.
Gladtr Howard not really, he was always very calm outside singing.
turbotrup96 daron has always been the wildest
they're all pretty well spoken
System of a Down's show in Armenia is gonna be the best show of their career. Just thinking about it gives me chills...
I hope it's a proshot concert. I bet they're going to play a long set because of how special it will be.
Jamie Craighead It will be proshot
PLUCK has to be their encore song
solis2795 Serj says it in this video lol
te envidio
Daron looks so small next to John
+Vriska Serket daron is not skinny anymore
Deadeyes X Really? Eh, not surprised, it happens with age. Although I'm pretty sure this video is somewhat recent.
+Vriska Serket he isn't skinny because he had thyroid problems
daron is really short And small
Daron is the same height as me, we're small motherfuckers.
I love Daron s voice
wait a minute john can talk?
Holy shit John is giant
I throught that too, and that's funny since both Serj and Shavo are (a lot too) taller than him
Look at his arms, he's a tank
Look at his arms, he's a tank
+RaaZVan99 tank. Right word, man. But I think is usual for a drummer to have such big arm. He's supposed to kick on that drum, isn't he?
Steroids my friend
3:55 bruh i love Daron
God I wish someone would ask Daron about Scars on Broadway
Im right there with you. He barely even spoke in this one
Maxwell Catlett Yeah man seriously, like it's not cool that they announced the album, and played a few shows, and then it doesn't come out :/ Guns are Loaded is such a badass song, I must have it xD
Jordan Silva Yeah. At least release that song for download
Fernando Rosas yes.
I agree
This is why they are best band for me.. how proud to be with them so many years
they aren't letting Daron speak when he wants to and it's pissing me off because he is king
kelleigh lol I’ll agree the dude is great at guitar but serj is the defining factor of this group his voice is unmatched an irreplaceable
F... me I absolutely love these 4 guys here, mate... 5:05 Daron looks so annoyed by that question. Same.
Wow, I've never heard John talk
Shavo made a pretty significant point there. These guys don't have family histories. This is modern history we did not see.
Jesus John is way more jacked than I thought
Ian Byrne hes a giant
John: "Todos nós estivemos ocupados com coisas pessoais, com pessoas 'pessoais'..."
Daron: "Eu não estive nenhum pouco ocupado"
hahahaha
Heart broken that they are not having a show in my area :(
and of course they didn't ask if any album will be coming
I love system!i hope they come out with a new cd soon!:-D
🥲🥲this hit diff now
Is it just me or did serj's accent get thicker?
He’s gotten way more into his Armenian side, even though he was before, but he’s made a lot of change and continues to do so with himself I guess
There Forever..still remembered in time..
have you ever seen John smiling?
Only like twice in the same interview lol
Is it me or does john dolymayan been lifting weights?
84hendrixnirvana well, he does beat on shit for a living... so it must do something to him
is it me or do you have terrible grammar?
😂
Nice grammar bitch
His drumming for long shows like they do is already an exercise on itself
I wanna see John Dolmayan arm wrestle Danny Carey
"we didnt plan to be 4 armenians in a band together, it just kinda turned out that way..." Thats so freaking crazy bro....
как в старые добрые=)

It was really funny when he said about Kardashians
anar agayev Hey there. I'm not English speaker and I didn't understand that part. Please could you tell me what they said about that?
Silvia Crespo evidently he didn't say anything positive or negative but right after he mentioned their names he laughed. We know Kardashians are famous and rich but obviously they aren't good representative of Armenia
what's going on with Daron ?:(((
it's really sad to see him so silent.. and .. sad???
lusine423 He's probably matured more and calmed down over the years, and not doing so many drugs as he used to.
lusine423 his tired n chilling..
that's how he is trust me. i met him before a show once and he was so soft-spoken and shy but at the show he was his usual intense and energetic self
He got very socially awkward is the last years cuz he's not high 24/7 anymore
cant fkn wait 4 you guys to come to holland
DAREN IS SO FUCKING COOL
+Irene Perez He sounds like Norman Reedus to me idk if anyone elses hears that

Serj and John were both born in Lebanon, Shavo was born in Armenia and Daron was born in California. They're all of Armenian descent, though.
