Welcome to Tokyo Station. Bento or Lunchboxes, are a huge part of Japanese food culture. Bentos are typically packed with rice and several pieces of meat, fish, pickled vegetables, or any of a wide array of other foods. Ekiben, is the train traveler's comfort food. Literally meaning "station bento," ekiben are special bentos sold at train stations designed to be enjoyed on long train rides while showcasing the cuisine of the region in Japan they're from. Part 2 will be on the Shinkansen (Bullet Train) ride back from Sendai, Japan.

Same. The amount of love and effort put into japanese food is mind blowing. In Scotland they basicly throw the food at you while giving you a dirty look 🤣

I don't know why every time I feel so satisfying, watching Eric unboxing all those bentos in a moving train and enjoying eating it. I could even feel every bites of foods you ate. You really show good and aunthentic culture of Japan.
My kids yelled out “we have to visit Japan” when you opened the train lunchbox.

I love the concept of bento. It's like a gift of deliciousness you can bring to someone you like (esecially if it's done by yourself), or just present it to yourself. And it's a feast for all senses.
The attention to detail always amazes me in Japanese culture. The world would be a better place if everyone took such pride in their jobs
