We installed one of these on a personal Yamaha Tenere 700 and this finally fixed the sketchy rear brake performance. This is a great product that is well worth the cost. The videos and instructions are also great.
One of the "Must Dos" on The Tenere IMO. (Along with the mid-pipe and exhaust can replacement. I got the Camel Enduro bend pipe) Quality product. The stock set up and lever is junk. Been running mine for over a year throughout the central CO Rockies where I live and the Eastern Utah desert. Superb performance. No fitment issues with a Tusk Quiet Glide skid plate. Easy install.
Very, very critical to get the brake light switch installed and oriented properly as shown in the vid, instead of effing with adjusting it for a couple hours as I did. Very strong, well made pedal, though the stock one works fine until your first minor tip over turns it into a pretzel.
Thanks for the clear instructions, and for supplying torque values and a reminder to use thread locker. Nothing goes on our bikes without thread locker. But I have to wonder about the suggestion to use red Locktite. That stuff makes the bolt almost impossible to remove. In aluminum, there's a danger of destroying the part before the thread lock will give. Is there a reason not to use old reliable blue Locktite on that fastener?
finally got around to installing mine for the new season! Easy peasy and needed little adjustment. Now just need to swap the pads and bleed everything. Like everything else I have purchased from Cory, TOP NOTCH and works as advertised.
Installed mine and it works amazing!! You will be way more confident riding down long steep downhills. If you ride off road this a must buy thanks Cory.
Hi Cory, Just ordered. Just have to say, I was about to go down the rear brake fix rabbit hole - YZ450 master cylinder, infinite adjustment experimentation, braided brake lines, and all other internet-google lore to find "The Fix". Note, I had an issue where my rear brake just didn't work after riding to warm up. Peddle would get rock hard and no brake. Flushed the fluid and then the rear brake seized. Weird. After the seize, loosened the brake adjustment bolt, and felt the pressure release in the system. Now, I have a rear brake and looking forward to "The Fix" to put this issue behind me.
Hello, on my T7 there is about an inch of travel on the peg of the original break lever before the break starts to engage. On bikes that i owned in former years there was a adjustible stop for the lever so one could define the position of the peg independent from the "preload" of the brake cylinder thus the empty travel could be reduced. Is this not done anymore on modern bikes? That seems to be the main issue with the rear brake for me right now. Thank you for your answers ...
Unfortunately I can't buy one right now..but as I can afford it I will be ordering one..I would love all black or a blue logo option for blue bikes the red contrasts
Hey Corey, how are you sir? I had a quick question I pre-ordered my brake fix I was I’m assuming I was one of the beginning people that got them I just now got around to putting it on and I was just curious my bushing after I took it from being wrapped in plastic the bushing is froze. It doesn’t move so that when I tighten it Into the housing that holds the foot peg if I put any type of tightness on it, it doesn’t allow it to spin. I know it’s something I’m overlooking. I have pretty much brought every product that you have and I know the quality is top notch, so I was just wondering for some insight.
hi Cory, there are no placemats in my set, there is one large and one small and they are not black. the stem is also different. are there two versions? I bought mine in Germany. greetings and waiting for reply
Hi Camel Team (the sticker inside the box make me laught). Got my "Fix", installation is very easy but I have an issue with the brake light switch spring. The factory one looks way too long to be set up on the Fix. Even if I set up the maximum lenght with the small tab, the spring will not be tight (after unscrewed to the maximum the plastic bolt on the switch itself). 4 to 5mm will be needed to switch on the brake light, way too much. Didn't get any spring on the box, should there be one inside the box or did I miss something? Thanks
To myself : give you one try, damn it! Don't focus on this spring before installing everything. The pre-tensionning of the master cylinder on the lever will be far enough to tight the spring. But unscrew as far as you can the plastic nut on the switch. Camel Crew member sticker on the bike, go for a ride ! (The Tenere without a rear brake was already amazing but now .... 🤘)
How to do it will depend on what center stand you have. You will need to remove anything that prevents you from getting the footpeg/brake carrier mount off.
For peeps with OEM center stand installed, your instructions fall entirely short! A little more work to do? Could you please elaborate? Do I have to remove it entirely?
I just sat down to install my “Fix” and realized that the potential issue with OEM center stand. I went ahead and removed the two bolts on center stand from the right side and surprisingly, there was enough play in the mounting of the stand to lower and rotate slightly so I could remove brake lever without completely removing center stand. I would have, but the bolts on left side, especially one bolted from inside would have been a b%tch. Worked out fine and actually install took less time than anticipated. Thanks Cory!!!!
I got my tracking number and I’m watching it make its way south. Hopefully I can have it on the bike next weekend! Thanks for the video, this doesn’t look like it will take long to install.
I have one on order I have not seen any tracking information yet. I bought it only because the stock pedal is very flimsy. My stock pedal had no problem returning as described in your videos. The movement was fine it was just not a very sturdy piece.

I was just complaining about this in a video the other day! Looks like an awesome part!

Had my 1st ride with it, yesterday. Wow, what a difference! Love it.
Great to hear!
Fantastic. Can't wait to install it and feel the difference.
Me too !!!!
I am super appreciative of the detailed installation videos. Also, to be rid of the stock break pedal on my T7.

Exceptional instruction vid! Thanks Cory!
Just got mine today - Thank you.
Good thing it dumped snow yesterday :(
Enjoy it
Excellent video and product! Looking forward to installing The Fix!
Pre-ordered mine in the uk, can’t wait to get it!

Great design. Awesome part! Video was excellent

Nicely done mate. 🤘🏻☠️🤘🏻
Great work,perfectly explained!

Is the offset clevice supposed to be in the package? And the smaller stainless washer? I just recieved one and both these items are not present.
What is the issue with the fix and lowered pegs?
Camel ADV for the win!
does the fix fit on the World Raid also?
hi Cory, there are no placemats in my set, there is one large and one small and they are not black. the stem is also different. are there two versions? I bought mine in Germany. greetings and waiting for reply
There were some minor changes to the kit. The information is on the paperwork in your kit.

Thanks for you reply! This is what I was trying to figure out, as well!
Team - outstanding job you´ve done - really amazed and would like to apply it to a ´22 World Raid - will that fit as well for my horse pls :-D ?
Yes, it will fit your World Raid too.
My pegs are 30mm lower. Will I have clearance issues?
30mm might be pushing. You'll likely bottom out on the carrier bracket. We may offer a lowered tip for people with lowered pegs.
That would be awesome.
Even with 15mm lowered footpegs the carrier bracket is almost bottomed out. Might have to cut a few mm off the bolt
@@CamelADV I’ll take one
@@CamelADV Any updates on this issue? I run the -20mm Bosley pegs and would love to have a usable rear brake.
You mentioned those of us with the center stand might have additional steps but I didn't hear any other details mentioned. Did I miss something?
How to do it will depend on what center stand you have. You will need to remove anything that prevents you from getting the footpeg/brake carrier mount off.
Done, along with the kickstand spring. About an hour. Thanks! Any news on an extended brake pedal (bigger)?
I have no ETA on a folding tip at this time.
@@CamelADV thanks. I'm sure you've got you hands full
