Dear Ma'am,
My wife is 20 weeks 4 days pregnant now. Since 16th week she has itching all over the body. Dr. Has prescribed ursodeoxycholic acid tablet and adviced sgpt/ALT test which was on higher side. Now itching has significantly improved and sgpt/ALT has also lowered but on borderline. Dr. has advised same medicine for more 2 weeks. Pls advice what care should we take going forward in food and lifestyle and is this serious problem? Now she doesn't have itching at all.
Itching stops after pregnancy, increase water intake and apply moisturizer

@@nidhikumari4464 cholestasis of pregnancy bolte hain ise. Usually ye poore pregnancy me rehta hai.. Kam zyada hota rehta hai depending upon severity.. Dr. Jo medicines de lete rehna hai.. and liver profile(sgpt,ALT,) every 15 days. Check karte rehna hai.. Dr. Ka regular visit rakhna baby ke growth ke liye. Sometimes night me zyada itching rehta hai..But do not worry. Delivery ke Baad thik ho jata hai.
